I went here for bunch with one of my friends. I ordered a chicken wrap and so did my friend. The food tasted fresh, hot, and super flavorful. The portion was a bit small, but service was good. I've been coming to this place for years! The service is great and the hookahs are on point. They have plenty of flavors to choose from and offer different kinds of bowls (fruit, funnel, etc.) Getting coals are never an issue because they're always walking around making sure you're never waiting. Hidden Café. The name says it all. Literally, it is hidden. Hidden in a shopping center nestled on Brookhurst Ave in Anaheim. Now I have tried many hookah lounges in Orange County. Many of them! This is now one that I can cross off my list and now put on my "will be coming back again soon" list. I came earlier this evening to check it out because I had to satisfy my hookah cravings! Soon as I walked in, the sweet odor of hookah hit my nostrils. I was sat at a table and immediately ordered my new favorite flavor-Exotic Apple Doppio! Now I have tried this flavor before at another hookah lounge nearby. I was just craving this flavor very bad! I waited almost 10 minutes before I got my hookah but I am not one to complain over a few minutes, unless it was over a half hour wait! It is very spacey inside with a few couches but mostly tables all around. They have a few flat screen TV's around, which at the time were playing EDM videos, which made for a great environment. The ambience was of a mostly young crowd. Overall, the staff were very attentive with refilling me with coals whenever needed. I came back and this time I brought my best friend and his lady and we had a blast. I ordered the mint tea pot and it was once again delicious. I forgot what flavor we ordered but all I remember is we got an apple and an ice tip. That darn ice tip kept falling off, I don't know if it was us or the equipment. However I strongly believe it may have been user error because we were a little buzzed when we got there. They have these light things at the tables that you're supposed to use if you need assistance. It's a great idea if.....someone that worked there was out on the floor instead of in the back. The restroom was clean which was great, cos I can't stand establishments with nasty restrooms. They honored the $1.00 off with check in. They played a mixture of EDM and hip hop all night and they kept our coals hot and burning. read more

I've been coming here for years and each time, my hookah sessions have been on point. I've been to hookah lounges all over OC and LA, and this is by far my favorite. Friendly service and quality hookah each and every single time. The place is "hidden" in the corner of the plaza. Plethora of parking and free wi-fi. So let's talk hookah! I'm pretty boring and don't branch off to any crazy flavors - I typically get white peach sweet melon mint. Mmmmm fruity & minty... all sorts of wonderful tinglies. I also get an iced tip so the smoke comes out extra smooth and chilly. I always come during HH because it's half off. Everything comes out to $13 which includes tip. So why am I in love with place? Because I can smoke in peace like a loaner and I'm not judged. My coals are consistently refilled without me asking and the servers check on me to make sure everything is all good. Atmosphere, music, and people are chill. Nice place to kick back after a long work day. People come to hang out, study, or watch TV. They have like a million TVs so you can take your pick. My parents house is right down the street and my sister and i would come here (still do) for refuge, socializing and girl talk. Every night before 8 pm they have happy hour... Alkies take a seat! They don't serve alcohol here :) Happy hour here is discount hookah and a refill. If you're feeling really wild you can order their special for $15.99: Hookah, refill, sandwich and a drink. Its a great deal and you don't have to remind them about your refill... They are all over it replacing your hookah head with a fresh one in an hour. Every Tuesday is movie night. Some movies are good and some movies are bad. Everyone's a critic... And when there is a game on it will usually be on there too. Oh man I don't even know where to start with this place. Its probably the worst hookah place i've ever been to. If Hidden Cafe were a NBA team, it would be the post-Lebron era Cavilers. The service was horrible. When we purchased our hookah, they didnt even bring out the mouth piece. We had to wait like 5 minutes for the guy who was in the back. Ambiance- Horrible. The music was too loud and not even that, the selection was horrid. For the advanced hookah smokers (novice users and justin chan read no further. This is for the true hookah heads) The coals they use are cheap. Had to be replaced and overall the hookah tabacco didn't burn hot enough resulting in a less fuller cloud of smoke. The hookah is good....if you like smoking that bullshit. . Smoking from there hookahs was the equivalent to breathing hand fulls of salt. Its not a loungy hookah spot at all. I've been coming to Hidden Cafe for a few months, and I have finally come to the conclusion that this is my go-to hookah lounge. I am not a big fan of club-vibe hookah lounges because it is WAY too loud. If I wanted to go to a club and dance, I would go to an actual club. Hookah for me is a comfort, I do not want loud music, girls dancing around and rowdy people next to me. That is why Hidden is the best. The place is nicely lit and the music is not too loud. My boyfriend and I come here to do last minute essays and to chill. There are outlets around the table to plug in your laptop and they also provide you with mini lamps when you're reading. They have the games on the TV and they even play Walking Dead on Sundays. The employees are attentive but not too attentive. They are constantly walking around with coals. Candace, Donna, Josh and David are super chill. The hookahs are ALWAYS consistent and that is such a thing to have at a lounge. If your hookah isn't hitting or the flavor is off, they won't hesitant to change it out or try to resolve the issue. You seat yourself and turn the light on to get assistance. They have recommendations on mixes on the whiteboard in the front of the place. You can also order food from the restaurant next door if you're hungry. The only thing I would say about the place is that the bathroom could get dirty and really smelly so a regular bathroom check would be really cool. Make a SpotOn account with them so you can accumulate check-ins. I think its 8 check ins for a free hookah! Every Monday is ONE FREE REFILL with SpotOn redeem. Happy Hour is half off hookah, but a refill is required after about an hour and a half. With the happy hour price, you're paying about 12 dollars, depending on which category of flavor you get. This place is my go to hookah spot. It's a very laid back atmosphere and they play good music! The service is always pleasant. The owner (or manager) Tareq is very involved and always comes by to say hello and to ask how our visit is. They are very service oriented and that is what sets them apart from all the close competition near by. They have an out door area for the cigarette smokers, which is nice so it won't stink up the inside. They also have a partnership with the Arabic restaurant next door so you can order food from there. The hummus with meat dip and the beef shawarma sandwich are really good. When the restaurant next door is closed, they offer finger food options to get you by, late night. Overall, chill place and I'd recommend this to anybody. read more

We came with a big party of 12, and the guy who seated us immediately told us we had to buy X amount of hookahs. It's like, chill out dude! We're not here to rip you guys off! I can understand if we had came and barely ordered anything and were taking up room. But this place was empty on the night we came! The push light at the table for service is cool, but they should also come check up on you in person once in awhile. The coals absolutely suck....it took forever to get us coals. It's SO funny because I'm uncomfortable reviewing this place right now because I don't know the lingo. LOL. Here goes.... We had the cosmo flavor and chocolate-y flavor hookah. Each person in the party gets their own mouthpiece so as not share saliva. Whatta lightbulb moment for me!! I almost thought part of the experience WAS to swap spit! I'm half-kidding. This was the first hookah bar I've ever been to, and it's the only place I go to now. The staff is super chill and make you feel welcome. They bring out your orders quickly whether its hookah, drinks or food. They mix it up with the music, sometimes it will be arabic or sometimes it will be hot hip hop club bangers. Either way, its music that my friends and I can get down to. I usually spend my midterms/finals week here because I've found that its a great place to study as well. Seeing how there wasn't that many people here, I expected the service to be decent at least. I was wrong. Took about 10 mins to flag someone to take our stinkin' order. The dude was flirting with some customer so he obviously can't get his crap together. Another 10 mins to get our crap. The whole time we were there (2 1/2 hours) they only replaced the coals twice and never once asked us how we are or check to see how it was. Again, too busy being social . Pathetic. This place doesn't even come with freakin' mouth pieces. Gross! I'll admit that the flavors are good and they have good music and tv, but service reeks. Go somewhere else. read more

I think this is the best hookah place in the OC. Two great discoveries in two nights. This place really is somewhat hidden since we were looking around the plaza for it. I was looking at the website, and it's hilarious that they have an anti-asshole policy. +1 for that. When we got here, it was PACKED because of UFC 94. The guy helped us was super chill and got us our couches and tables after moving a few people. In fact, all the workers here are awesome. The cholo coal guy was hilarious and cracking jokes with us. It was also pretty funny that he lost 20 bucks since BJ Penn lost the fight. The place emptied out after the fights and our group of 6 were literally the only customers left. Didn't matter though since service was still excellent. We were there for 3 hours! We just chilled and listened to the Arabian trance music they had on. Super relaxing. New hang out spot since it's open til 4am on weekends. We had three hookahs, which were melon, strawberry and grape. All were fantastic and were never really harsh. It's great how the coals are constantly changed. Overall, this was a great experience here. Love the atmosphere and friendliness of the employees. Hookah was pretty cheap, even though we missed happy hour by 5 minutes. I'm sorry Alwaha, but I'm leaving you for Hidden Cafe. read more

Hello Yelp! :) When it comes to Hidden Cafe, the name definitely does not lie. This place is really hidden in the corner of a little shopping area. You can't even see the building sign unless you view it at a certain angle. I find that funny. Anyways, on to the review. I am a hookah enthusiast. I have a good understanding on what makes a good hookah and what does not. I like to go to hookah lounges quite often to enjoy a relaxing session either by myself or with a group of friends. Most hookah lounges out here in Southern California have a clubbing vibe with loud music, completely dark setting, and illuminated with colorful lasers which I do enjoy when I am with a group of friends. However, when I seek out to go to a hookah lounge to have a relaxing session by myself with my laptop, I go to the Hidden Cafe here in Anaheim (not Anaheim Hills). Not many hookah lounges have a relaxing atmosphere and it's nice to find a place where people can just come in, smoke hookah, chill, study or some shit, and actually hear each other talk without having to yell at each others' ear. The place is pretty roomy equipped with couches, tables, chairs, and 3 flat screen LCD TVs. It's decorated well enough to have a warm, welcoming ambiance. It is well ventilated so you don't walk into a foggy room with a strong scent of exhaled hookah. The lighting is perfectly dimmed to where you can read the menu without having to use a phone light. The service is satisfying. They are quite attentive when it comes to coal rotation on slow days. When it comes to busy days, they tend to lag a bit on coals but not to a point where they completely neglect it. The menu selection is quite vast. They don't have a load of hookah flavors but they do have a handful with a variety of flavors which is well enough for me. They also serve a variety of Mediterranean/ Indian style entrees to grub on and different kinds of beverages to sip on which is a huge plus. The price is decent compared to other hookah lounges. You'll usually end up spending around $14 for a hookah unless you purchase the other things they have. The hookah quality is decent. They supply the basic Khalil Mamoon hookah to smoke from which is a good quality hookah. The hoses are fairly standard although some hoses are pretty battered up. They use natural coconut coals so for those of you who don't like quick light coals like myself, then you're in the clear. Overall, the Hidden Cafe is a great hookah lounge among others to relax and chill in if you're looking for that kind of place. It just radiates a relaxing time which I enjoy very much. It's not perfection but I do recommend any hookah smoker to come check this place out if you're in the area. read more

I've been coming to good ole Hidden since I turned 18 and it's really the only hookah lounge that I go to and have really been. Why may you ask? Simple: good flavors, friendly staff members and comfortable atmosphere. You can always count on good hookah and when you're stumped on something to try, the staff are knowledgeable and always suggest good flavors. This is my go-to hookah bar. The atmosphere is relaxed and not too loud. The owners are the nicest guys you'll ever meet. The clientele are all really cool (you don't have to worry about dirtbags and morons showing up and ruining the fun). Coal service is pretty good relative to other places. They make sure it doesn't take long to get your fresh hookah lit up. The flavor selection is pretty broad and Tariq and Abood are happy to offer suggestions and special mixes that they make up themselves. I just went there couple days ago, and it was my first time visiting this place. My boyfriend and best friend love hookah, and we go out and smoke hookah pretty frequently. They told me how good this place was, so I was very excited to have a visit. My first visit was simply horrible. They took forever to come to our table to take orders and bring out hookah. Not only that, they forgot our orders twice while we were there. It literately took more than half an hour to get our first hookah, 20 min for a pot of green tea, 40 min for second one (we ordered 2). Hookah didn't even taste like the flavor we oredered (gummy bear), and it actually got worse over time. It didn't really make sense to us since it wasn't that busy when we went in. My boyfriend and my best friend were surprised at how bad of the service we had since they previously had great experiences here last time. They both said they would definitely not be coming back. It was one of the worse customer services I've had as well so I don't think I would come back either. read more

I recently found out about this Hookah Lounge through a friend.. Upon lounging here a few times, I realized how great the service is. You're always given adequate coals for your hookah and tongs so you can manage your hookah temperature to your liking/flavor optimal temperature. Once you walk in, you're immediately greeted and asked what flavor of hookah you would like. Within a minute or two, your hookah is brought to you with coals ready for you to smoke and enjoy the inviting environment. Large flat screen TVs are mounted all around so you can enjoy tasteful music videos whilst smoking. There is a variety of selections to fulfill your appetite. From sandwiches to Mediterranean cuisine such as Sojuk sandwich are available upon request. The availability of Mediterranean food shows you that they keep to their roots of the hookah social experience. I highly recommend coming here. I've been coming here religiously since I turned 18, and I'm 23 now, so I've become quite familiar with the place. I've smoked hookah at numerous joints around So Cal, and this is my favorite. They have another branch in Anaheim Hills, but I prefer this location because the atmosphere is more low-key and intimate, and there tends to more older locals as opposed to the younger crowd. The staff (especially the ones that go way back...hey Felipe!) are attentive and although some days coal service can be a bit slow, they always make sure you're taken care of. They have free 5G wifi and cushy couches so you can relax with your laptop and perhaps get some work done. As for the hookah, the flavors are all good except for anything with Peach (this is just a personal preference). My favorites are Gummy Bear, Skittles, Felipe's Mix and Lemon Mint. If you come between 6-8, hookahs are cheaper as well. They also have a stamp card where if you get 10 (?) stamps, you get one free hookah. Smoke is generally thick and smooth, and most flavors aren't overpowering or nauseating. They also have stuff to eat, but I've only tried the chicken sandwich so can't vouch for much of the items. The sandwich was okay, but I don't expect a hookah joint to have stellar food. I sometimes order a Turkish Coffee when I'm feeling particularly tired, but haven't tried any of their other drinks. They have 5 HD TVs, which comes in handy whenever there's a game on (like right now for the Super Bowl...congrats Seahawks), as well as UFC matches. Tues & Sun nights are movie nights. The only complaint I'd have is that they charge you for water, but that's about it. This is one of my favorite places to hang out in the area. So come get your hookah fix! read more

The owner is great, the staff could be better, should be. Amazing is the word that best describes Hidden Café, their hookah quality, the service, the owners and staff. For starters, this hookah lounge is larger than the rest in and around Anaheim. The ambiance is a perfect simultaneous mix of contemporary and traditional which makes for a perfect place to plan an outing with friends, catch a movie on movie nights (Sundays and Tuesdays), a place to study with free WiFi during the school year and/or catch a Laker game. More importantly, the owners Tareq and Aboud (sorry if I misspelled your names :[ ) spend time with their customers, genuinely ask about their day and make you feel welcome. As a customer, the two most important things are: quality and service both which Hidden Café has set a standard for in comparison to other lounges (Dream, Twilight, Mazaj, Starbuzz etc.). At Hidden Café, you can expect to have a variety of flavors and combos to select from. Some of my personal favorites are: Double Apple Mint, Felipe's Mix, Item 9 with Mint, Fuego Bueno, Pineapple Express, Triple Mint, Blackberry Rose Mint, Blue Mist Mint and some YOU MUST TRY are Cactus Cooler and Honey Dew Coco Jumbo with Mint or Tangerine Coco Jumbo with Mint! Yum Yum Yum! If you are unsure of what you want to try, ask their staff... they know whats good ! Hidden offers happy hour Mon-Fri from 6-8 pm and a hookah is about $7. During happy hour there is also a Sandwhich, drink and hookah combo for about $15 or $16 for a hookah and a refill after 8pm. I almost forgot to mention the strawberry milkshakes are delicious. My experience at Hidden Café has made me a regular for almost 3 years and during this time I have visited a few hookah bars none of which compare to the standard Hidden has set. Twilight and Dream are my least favorite by far ! Twilight is more of a 'ghetto club scene,' this is the place where you can expect to see girls lap dancing each other and anything else within range, they have a tiny dance floor that gets filled to capacity and hookahs are knocked over and their employees can barely manage to get through as well as their extremely loud music for their tightly compacted space. This is probably where all the teenie boppers from the block of orange go after they get kicked out of the mall for being past their curfew.. Just Kidding... At the very least I can admit Twilight has pleasant owners as opposed to Dream café! Dream has the worst management and service! I would gladly turn down a money offer to revisit that dump. Finally, I highly recommend Hidden Café to anyone who is looking to visit a Hookah Lounge, this is a must try. Along with this lengthy review I am posting pictures of Hidden, and pictures from my 20th and 21st birthday both which I celebrated at my favorite place, Hidden.
