Yet he never once went up in the attic to even look at any of the existing duct work. Needless to say, the quote was ridiculous. Got two other estimated from other companies at 15000 and 16,800.

Rick serviced the unit that I inherited when I purchased my home and then installed a new unit around 10 years ago. He was a true professional in every aspect of the business. He personally did most of the annual maintenance and was always responsive to my phone calls with questions or minor issues I was having with my unit. I considered him a friend beyond our business relationship. I understand that he retired a few years ago and sold the business. Things are NOT the same today. When I recently had my annual inspection the technician mentioned that the motor was excessively loud and would probably need to be replaced in the near future. He checked with their office and informed me that it was still under the 10 year warranty. A few months later I called their office to see in a technician could come out and reinspect it. No one ever returned my voice mail. Over the next couple of weeks I left 4 unanswered messages explaining how I was a loyal, long term customer and needed their help. They did not ever answer their phone or return my messages. I decided to keep trying and called 10-15 times and they did not once pick up their phone. I was so disappointed in their lack of professionalism that I decided to inform the owner of what was happening. I emailed him a detailed account of what was going on (and confirmed it by regular mail in the unlikely chance that he didn't receive it) and I never heard a word from him either. I do not plan on even trying to contact them again. I know that my existing a/c is "on its last legs" but I will not be talking to them about replacing it.
