Tractor Supply is pretty darn solid! They have a nice big parking lot (can easily bring a trailer…read morewithout being too much of a nuisance when it isn't super busy). I come here regularly to pick up poultry feed and straw bedding, and usually everything's in stock (they had a straw shortage during COVID, but can't really fault them on that). I like that their compressed straw is wrapped in plastic - it's a bit wasteful, but it's cleaner to transport and store at home - it usually takes me a month to go through a whole bale, so it's helpful that it stores dry without me having to build a specific straw shed or something. For heavy/bulky stuff (like straw bales and 50lb bags of feed), they have an open cart, which is nice - so you don't have to load stuff in and out of a normal cart. That's nice. Usually, there are enough cashiers to make things move pretty quickly - usually there are only 1 or 2 people in line ahead of me. I've used their online ordering, and it was... awkward - I had to wait around forever for an associate at the pick up desk... might as well have just shopped normally that time. It did seem like they were short staffed. Overall, Tractor Supply has some specialty items that other stores don't have. However, there are more pleasant places to shop that I tend to prefer to go to (Snohomish & Monroe Co-Op). Outside of commodity stuff (feed, etc), I don't like that they don't sell high quality stuff - it's mostly cheap stuff and maybe some national brands. So, I don't really go here for much - unless they have something I can't find elsewhere.

Did not get a chance to go into the store. However, I did take note how clean the parking lot…read morelooked! My thinking at the time was, if it is this clean out here in the parking lot, inside the store must be as clean!

She checked our ID just to buy a certain type of chicken. That's ridiculous. Who needs an ID for a chicken? Like they do that and whatever could fit in the bucket and if it was $40 you get 20% off for everything that can fit in the bucket. And to me that was kind of ridiculous!!!!!!!!!

Lesson Learned. Never Order On-Line…read moreOrdered $85.00 of products online No email received with an order number. Checked Bank, yep funds taken out. Called the store to find, yes they received it but they are short handed because it's a holiday and won't be able to fill the order. So, I drove from Gold Bar and repurchase everything and couldn't get a refund or cancel the online order. Came home and called the store to get a manager to help and was told basically until maybe next week they can't refund the order! It's a holiday! Well, maybe you should just close on the holiday since it's not convenient for staff to accommodate your customers? ‍ I'm not wealthy and $85 is a lot to be missing from my checking account! Especially on a Holiday weekend. The saving grace that makes me want to return is the girl in customer service I talked to on the phone then spent over 5 hours trying to refund my money. To her I give 5 stars. She sent everyone an email on my behalf hoping someone would fix it! She should get a bonus!

Most people usually don't get very excited about compost, but good compost is something I dream…read moreabout. I was very eager to try out their products having driven by the various locations around the city and noticing their fancy signs. Their web page is also very polished, which exudes professionalism, quality and sleek style. Most top soil places have lackluster web pages, but not these guys. I drove over at the crack of dawn and gleefully purchased a cubic yard of their illustrious Booster Blend, which was advertised as an 'Ideal blend of compost and dairy manure'. Further described as 'Locally and organic produced from garden prunings, food products, and vegetable trimmings', this sounded like the best thing I could add to my garden to support growing food for my family with the best of the best quality nutrients. It would boost my ego as I would feel great as a responsible and caring human for sourcing a local product that didn't contribute to excessive carbon emissions due to long distance transport, unlike those 'other' soil company conglomerates where you have no idea how far they source their products from. I couldn't wait to bring my load home to show off to my family, friends, neighbour's and random passerbys and flaunt my prized purchase, which would eventually revolutionize my garden to epic levels of nutrient dense and delicious fruits and veggies to eat. I carefully covered my trailer with a tarp to protect my fresh pile of compost and manure for the journey home. Upon returning home after a perilous journey with my tarp flapping in the wind the entire way home, I was ready to get shovelling. However to my surprise, I noticed that this booster blend had an innovative sparkly effect with a rich spectrum of colors that I've never seen before in compost from other soil companies. With closer inspection, that's when I noticed that it was packed with a special unique blend of booster particles consisting of plastic bits, shredded shopping bags, chewing gum, metal and glass shards. While the price was good, the time cost of having to pick out the bits, made this purchase a lasting and memorable experience (and not in a good way). No epic stories of heroism for me. No boosted ego, just a bruised ego.

I misjudged how much dirt a cubic yard was, so I ordered too little. I called the company and expressed my disappointment that the dirt we bought was barely enough to finish even half our projects. My fault, totally. The gentleman I spoke to brought another load! I forgot his name, I'm sorry!! I am SO happy. This dirt is full of compost and will make my veggies very happy. Thank you Cedar Grove! You've earned a lifetime customer!
