Front desk staff are consistently friendly and helpful, which I appreciate. Unfortunately, the experience with the team loading equipment was a completely different story. I rented an aerator and mentioned that I had never used one before. The staff did take a moment to explain how it works, which was helpful. I also asked at the front desk whether I should use a trailer to transport it, and was told it shouldn't be necessary since they could load it into my truck using their ramp. Three employees loaded the aerator into the bed of my truck (with a canopy), rolled it in, and we closed the tailgate. As I was slowly pulling out to get onto Highway 99, the machine rolled forward, breaking through the canopy glass and shattering the rear window of my truck. What's most frustrating is that no one mentioned that the aerator can freely roll or that it needs to be secured during transport. For someone who has never used this type of equipment, that's critical information. When I returned to the store, I was told, "it has wheels and it'll move," which came across as dismissive. The owner pointed to a sign stating they are not responsible for damage during loading. While I understand liability policies, this situation could have easily been prevented with a simple warning or basic guidance. I've been a long-time customer and regularly rent equipment here, which makes this especially disappointing. I've used Millers a couple time for a few projects I had going on and they were always nice/ and helpful/knowledgeable. Their stock of Stihl equipment was very impressive. Anyway my only gripe was that when I returned some equipment an hour late I got charged for half a day. I would like to see them prorate the hourly charge after charging an entire day instead of charging a half day. Our entire experience with this company was absolutely horrific. We had a company bbq in which we reached out to rent a dunk tank. The first contact it was evident the person we spoke to had no clue and no interest in helping us. Fast forward we finally got an contract which by the way they charged more for delivery than the rental. Day of delivery we call as they still had not arrived as contract stated. The man on the phone stated "yeah that's not happening ". Excuse me we have a contract, oh I cancelled it and refunded 5 min after you signed and submitted payment. There was no email, no voice mail, no credit. My store has 300 associates that this was going to affect and they just didn't care. We went to Aurora Rentals. Received the most amazing customer service and got a brand new dunk tank etc for 300 less than what millers charged. If you have an important event I strongly suggest not relying on this company. This is the second time expensive equipment from this place has broken and screwed up my plans for a full days work. Both times I've had labor on site and ready to go and had to send them home. Both times it's been a skid steer and an attachment. First time was the tiller this time was the brush mower. The first time they gave me a discount and made it right. This time they sent out the mechanic to fix the hydraulic line on the brush mower but it blew again within 15 min. They said they would come get the machines yesterday but they're still sitting in my front yard and the brush mower is leaking fluid on my driveway. I told them yesterday I expected a discount but they didn't give me one or even discuss charges with me or what card to use before they took the whole thing off the card I told them not to use. I'm so done with this place! The worst tools and equipment plus horrible customer service. I'll never rent from them again!!! UPDATE: I got a call back from a manager and they are refunding 1/2 of the rental cost. I'm satifisfied that they made this right but the fact is that, in my experience, their machines are not reliable and 2/3 of my property is still not mowed so I have to find somewhere else to rent a machine and finish. read more

I have used Miller's Equipment to rent various pieces of small equipment and supplies for my Stihl chain saw and other products over the last 6 years. I recently had starting issues with my FS-90 Stihl string trimmer and they assisted me with a smile as a do it yourselfer without charging anything for their time which in this day and age, is unheard of! The customer service counter help is always friendly, knowledgeable and eager to assist. The equipment I have rented is always in good working condition. The service fees and rental charges are reasonable when you consider you have the entire Miller's staff backing you up!. I highly recommend this place! read more

I have rented equipment three times, each time noting good customer service but not quite a great overall customer experience. For heavy equipment like loaders and excavators I reserve ahead of time. But each time I have to wait in the yard while they fire them up, move them, etc. In short, couldn't they get ready for the day ahead of time? Equipment has been fine but one trailer rental required me to rig the dump trailers gate with straps to hold it open as they gave it to me missing the gate hold open latch and I didn't notice until I had it loaded. I rented a pressure washer and it worked great. Rented it over the fourth of july weekend so I had an extra day to use it. The staff is very helpful and I had gone in to check out what type of pressure washer would be best for me and they were happy to show me the different models. I'm looking to buy a chainsaw and when I do this is where I'll go. I purchased a chain for a friend's saw also and they immediately found the right size. Get a Sharp stick... and Jab it into your eyeball...it will be a better experience than you will get here.... We rented a floor sander...sent Mom ( a Customer ) to pick it up... Strike 1 : They where put out that they had to lift it into the trunk of her car (which they damaged) ... citing that they didn't have time to do this cause they where busy helping customers.... Strike 2: They sent a sander ( that clearly had been broken for many rentals before ours ) which was un-usable...then tried to imply that it was our fault and was the result of loading it in the car... Sent mom to get a replacement.... Strike 3: They sent her back with the replacement sander that was broken in the exact same manner only more so ( broken stress fatigued spot welds and cracked steel from years of being bent, then bent back... again Un-usable.... More damage to the car...( mind you my son and I where able to load and unload this 5 times with no problem ) again they tried to say it was on us as a result of having put it in the trunk. Threw duct tape and zip ties at the machine in an attempt to get thru the job, then returned it... Strike 4-ish: Ever walk into a business....look around, see the people behind the counter with void, nobody's home looks on their faces, 15 people standing in line taping their toes on the floor in an impatient ....please pull your incompetent head out of your A** and either learn how to do your job, or get one of the other idiots standing around doing nothing ( the owner ) to help so they can get on with their day, looks on their faces.....? (You know....like going to Lowes ) Then get a lip service apology from the owner, who you can tell really doesn't give a shit, and who then doesn't even offer a discount, but charges you full price for a full days rental, on a piece of equipment you could have been done with in 2 hours, except you spent the whole day driving broken shit back n forth getting nothing done....? My daughter got married in August. I am in the wedding industry in Phoenix and expect good quality and service. I was communicating via phone and email with Miller's. I was so happy with the customer service and quick response. They were very flexible and so pleasant to work with. Our driver showed up on Sunday with our delivery. He was early and worked very hard to get our pipe and drape set up perfectly. The linens we rented were perfect and arrived nicely pressed and clean. I drive across the city (from Madison Park) to rent from these guys. The first time, I rented a compost spreader. Nice, clean and worked fine. Not that complicated. So I returned it, . . . all the way across the city. A few weeks later, I needed to rent a chain saw. Did not want to drive 30 minutes again, but . . . I did. I had to wait because they put a new chain on the chain saw. It cut so well, that I only used it for two hours and returned it a day early. It was worth the drive to have a well maintained piece of equipment. I would recommend these guys. I see builders and contractors renting from them as well. I have been troubleshooting a problem at my home and needed a tool that only rents by the day. After renting it once and telling them I was not successful, they told me if I had returned it quickly they would have adjusted the rental fee. Two rentals later, I again rented the tool and found out immediately I couldn't use it. I had it back within an hour, and their adjustment was $30 for a $200 fee. read more

If you decide to go there you can get what you want but the prices are higher than what Whites has listed. I've rented 3 small excavators here in the last few years. I've had the tracks come off 4 times, in the loose dirt of my yard. Each time, Millers will come fix the issue within a day, but I question the desire to keep the equipment in good shape. Once tracks are damaged, they come off again. When I set aside time and schedule to do a job, I need to have equipment I can count on. This last time, It came off the tracks within 45 minutes of being delivered - I just asked them to come back and get it. It really screwed up my schedule, but at least they refunded my payment. read more
