Garlic Knots
Kimberly M.

Our waiter did such a wonderful job. He was so attentive, gave great explanations of menu options, and provided an engaging dining experience. The food was good but thought our pizza would be better honestly. My daughter said the Italian Sub was extremely tasty. The group consensus was the garlic knots and meatballs were the bomb. It's a well themed restaurant but we were moved quickly to the party room in the back because we had 6 children under 5 and 7 adults. If you are in Boerne, it's a cool stop but if you are going to go there specifically.... I have had better pizza elsewhere. Disclaimer: I am a Jersey girl and I am a TOUGH pizza critic.

Yuengling beer

Came here because my wife saw it on Texas Eats. Love the atmosphere of the 80's. For a drink I ordered Yuengling beer, we ordered the Bruchetta as a starter. Very light and delicious with 5 pieces of Bruchetta. We ordered the large BBQ Brisket pizza substituting the onions for black olives. The pizza was thin crust, with a nice char on the bottom. Very delicious. This would be a 7.8 to 8.1 on Dave Portnoy's scale. The staff was great and the food was very delicious. Oh, we also ordered a scoop of ice cream for dessert .

Wampa and gremlin vibes.

We had such an amazing experience here! I loved all the '80s vibes and seeing the cool movie memorabilia throughout the restaurant. We got to meet the owner and he was incredibly friendly and super nice. If you're thinking about whether or not to come here, you definitely should!

Went out and enjoyed some pizza and pepperoni rolls with my son. It is a little off the beaten path but it is a fun place with lots of 80s movie decor. Staff was friendly and the pepperoni rolls were fantastic. The pizza was good.

Local business with great pizza and wonderful family vibes! We made the drive from Fredericksburg and planned for an early dinner around 4 PM on a Saturday. There were several vacant spots inside the restaurant but unfortunately your entire party has to arrive prior to seating despite the vacancies. Amazing decor and memorabilia from Star Wars, ET, Jaws, and lots of 80s/90s classics. They have displays on the top floor seating area as well, including a Yoda fountain outdoors. They also have a Jabba the Hut room! We ordered 4 large pizzas including the brisket, Hawaiian, meat lovers, and white margherita with 2 salads and beverages. This was just enough to feed 8 adults. The owner is very sweet and service was pretty fast despite the delay getting seated.

This fun place feels of 80s memories! I came here at lunch on a Saturday just about 1200. There was parking and also seating! When we walked in I saw Luke Skywalker, Yoda and so many fun things that brought back all the memories. From toys to movie memorabilia there were tons of things to look at!! We started with the garlic knots, the order had 4 and marinara sauce. They were very tasty. Personally, I would have used half of the dough and given 8 instead to have more of the yummy garlic sauce!! The pizza we got were 2- 12 inch pizzas. It fed all 4 of us and we didnt have left overs. We got a BBQ chicken (unfortunately they were out of brisket), and Hawaiian. Both pizzas were tasty, full of amazing flavors amd I enjoyed them. The oven is a brick oven they were baked in and you could taste the wood fire flavors! The wait staff was very nice and we got beverage refills quickly. They did suggest dessert, and the dessert we wanted was the spaghetti, but per the waitress who had been here for about 6 months she said, the machine is not working. So, overall 5 stars, I could have removed one for no brisket and for not getting the dessert we wanted, but the atmosphere would not let me remove a star. So, there is that...lol It was fun and for special occasions I can see coming back. We live about 4t minutes away, so we had to make a special drive out and I would do it again!!

Caprese salad

The ambiance is amazing. With real props and some replicas from the movies of our childhood, this place's atmosphere rocks. We started out with some appetizers, a caprese salad and the meatball skillet. My wife really enjoyed the caprese salad and commented that it was the perfect amount of salt and pepper. I give the meatball skillet a 4/5 but I'm a harsh meatball critic having had the best ones in the world in Vilnius, Lithuania. So yes I would recommend you order one before moving onto the pizza. For pizza, we chose to do a half and half (meat lovers and white margarita). The wood fired thin crust was great, no complaints! No issues with the service either, the waitstaff was helpful and engaging. My only complaints were they gave our drinks in disposable plastic cups, pizza was served on disposable plates, and they charge .50 cents for water. Also, I think the menu could benefit from offering some additional main courses aside from pizza and calzones. Afterwards we walked over to the Dark Side, After Dark lounge and was really impressed with the decor. The entire small bar is a set out of the movie Predator. From the Predator himself, to a Huey helicopter body hanging from the ceiling, this place was awesome!!

Amount of crust on my small cheese pizza

Saturday night the family was craving pizza for dinner, so I ordered takeout. By the time we got home, my boys had already finished their slices almost immediately. Unfortunately, the pizza had a very large crust, which meant there wasn't much sauce or cheese covering the actual pizza. Most of the slice felt like bread rather than pizza. I was pretty disappointed because my boys ended up eating more crust than actual pizza, and I still had to find something else to feed them afterward. When I went in to pick up the order, the service was also slow. No one was up front to help with takeout, and I had to wave down the guy working the oven even though he saw me standing there. Bergheim Pizza is actually closer to me, but I wanted to give this place a shot. I think I'll be sticking with Bergheim Pizza next time.

My family are star wars fans and the era they focus on is one of the best. 80's movies, toys & games. The place is filled with nostalgia and I love it. Its like eating at an 80s museum. As you walk through the restaurant to be seated, you are taken back in time. The place has seating everywhere. There is even a little upstairs area where we were seated. They only have 2 single bathrooms, so plan accordingly lol. The service was done with a smile and the food was brought out fresh hot and tasted delicious. We got two pizzas, pizza rolls, garlic knows and a dark side macadamia white chocolate cookie that we shared for dessert. They are working on a After-dark lounge behind the restaurant to be opened soon. Will go back to boerne just to check that out as well. This place was an hour out for us but worth the experience and the food didn't disappoint.

We visited on the way back to Houston after a camping trip and were passing through San Antonio. Decided to incorporate it into our trip after seeing it hyped on instagram many times. Vibes were great, we sat quickly due to lots of seating and the memorabilia was quite cool. The pizza however, was not great and we were served on styrofoam plates and cups were plastic. Value for money was not there, especially being from out of town.

Finally, a bar and restaurant seemingly made just for me! Sure, it may give off Planet Hollywood vibes, but it has much better food and a way more personable collection of memorabilia. I'm sure I'm not the only one who could spend hours looking around this pop culture shrine. We had the charcuterie board and built a spicy pizza (and it actually was spicy!). Both were great. They offer a good selection of wines and beers, including restaurant-branded wines. It's been getting attention on X and TikTok for its adjacent Predator-themed bar (which is fantastic in its own right), but it has so much more to offer. There was about a 40 minute wait for a table on a Saturday night, but we just went to the Predator-themed bar to easily pass that time. Our service was good at both venues. If you love 70s/80s/90s pop culture, this place is for you. It's seemingly in the middle of nowhere, but the packed house clearly shows people are willing to make the journey. Don't miss it if you're visiting San Antonio or live nearby.

Are here for the first time. The movie memorabilia is great if you're a product of the 80's. The pizza was good and I would definitely go back for it. Garrett was friendly and efficient. I did get super frustrated, though. I wanted a pizza that was 1/2 pepperoni and jalapeño and the other have was beef and tomato. They wanted to charge me for four full toppings instead of either four half toppings or two full toppings. Will definitely go back!

Pizza was yummy! But don't believe them when they say the garlic knots don't have cheese. Otherwise great experience.
Susana A.

Pepperoni pizza was delicious! Garlic knots have cheese. Don't let them tell you otherwise.

Nice looking place. Decent pizza but I wouldn't rush back. Crust was very dry. And mozzarella was very scarce.

Valeria -- undoubtedly the best restaurant in Boerne -- offers a dining experience that marries…read moreItalian-inspired cuisine with a farm-to-table ethos, sourcing many ingredients from its own farm and trusted local partners. Under the guidance of Chef Keith Kuhn, whose international culinary background informs the menu, Valeria delivers a seasonally evolving selection of dishes that emphasize freshness, quality, and flavor. Though the emphasis is on Italian, the menu veers into other cuisines from Europe. From wood-fired pizzas to fresh seafood and house-made desserts, Valeria has earned its reputation as a rare gem in a town bereft of world-class cuisine. Having dined there numerous times, I could write a tome of a review detailing at least a dozen dishes. Alas, Yelp has imposed a draconian 5,000-character limit, so I am forced to limit my review to several standouts. Valeria's housemade bread selections put other restaurants' bread offerings to shame. The selection varies from visit to visit, but expect a generous portion of organic, warm house-baked breads accompanied by unsalted French butter, a ramekin of sea salt, and a selection of briny olives. True to European tradition, I butter each slice of bread and apply a sprinkling of salt to taste. The spicy meat lovers pizza is a triumph of bold flavors. Topped with a robust combination of pepperoni, Italian sausage, fresh jalapeños, Calabrian chilis, a mountain of shredded mozzarella, and a zesty San Marzano tomato sauce, this pizza -- my personal favorite on the menu -- balances heat with depth. The crust, crafted from organic flour, achieves the coveted Neapolitan texture: crisp on the outside, airy within. A smear of San Marzano tomato sauce provides a bright, tangy foundation, while the jalapeños and Calabrian chilis deliver a satisfying kick. The duck confit, easily the best iteration of the dish within 100 miles, exemplifies Valeria's ability to execute rustic European standards with finesse. The Rohan duck leg confit arrives succulent and tender, the meat falling off the bone after hours of slow cooking in its own fat. Paired with duck fat-sautéed potatoes, the dish offers a rich, earthy decadence, complemented by a vibrant red cabbage, beet, and red onion slaw with a dollop of crème fraîche. The interplay of textures -- crisp skin, creamy potatoes, and crunchy slaw -- creates a symphony of contrasts, while the seasoning (a hint of rosemary and thyme) underscores the duck's natural richness. It's a sophisticated yet comforting plate, one that Chef Keith was happy to make for me by special request. Thank you, Chef! The fish and chips reflect Valeria's global influences and commitment to sustainable seafood. Featuring a flaky, wild-caught fish -- haddock, as I recall -- the filets are encased in a light, golden batter that crisps beautifully without becoming greasy. The fries, house-made and twice-cooked for that perfect desiccated crunch, accompany a house-made dill tartar sauce, adding a creamy, tangy counterpoint to the fish's mild sweetness. Sourced from responsibly caught stocks, per Valeria's standards, it's a refined take on a British classic, proving that even familiar comfort food can shine with premium ingredients and careful preparation. The linguine pescatore is a seafood lover's dream, brimming with fresh shellfish and a zesty, robust tomato sauce. The clams, mussels, and shrimp are cooked perfectly (never rubbery), while the linguine arrives al dente. It's a vibrant, rustic plate that had me sweating most gloriously. On one visit, the kitchen inexplicably forgot to include the mussels, an oversight Chef Keith remedied by presenting me with a huge complimentary side dish of the aforementioned bivalves. Serendipity-doo-dah! The warm chocolate sheet cake provides a decadent finale, one that I've savored on many occasions. Served straight from the oven, this cake features a moist, fudgy center with a slightly crisp edge, its deep chocolate flavor derived from high-quality cocoa. Chopped Texas pecans add an extra depth of flavor and texture. It's a comforting yet elegant end to the meal, embodying the restaurant's ethos of quality without pretense, a sweet reminder of why Valeria stands out in Boerne's largely fetid dining landscape. Don't let its unassuming strip mall veneer fool you; this hidden gem offers an intimate atmosphere, attentive service, and a wine list that pairs beautifully with its fare. For those seeking a memorable meal in Boerne, Valeria is the best option by far.

We couldn't decide on a pizza so our server told us they could do half and half of two flavors so we did the Boss and I think the other one was Davinci (I think!) We got them with no meat, and they were delicious! One had goat cheese and pickled jalapeño which was wild delicious! The other one had pesto and arugula, and tomato. They also put this yummy herby oil on the crust that makes it even more amazing. The caprese salad was perfect, the tomatoes were nice and firm and the cheese was moist and slightly salty, perfection! The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the tater tots, the flavor was good but they were not crispy. The other reason I knocked off a star was that the wait was super long. Granted I did see that they had a whole lot of orders coming in but we were the only ones in the dining area and it was just a longer than usual wait. We will still make our way back there next time we are in Boerne because the pizza is absolutely top notch!

When I called the store, it somehow got worse. The employee immediately voided the transaction without any real apology or attempt to make things right.
