Ordered a grande iced americano with heavy cream and a grande iced breve latte with a little vanilla. Honestly, it's the best cup of espresso I've had. My daughter said "a little splash of vanilla" and that's all the barista put in. They had a glass case of pastries that looked good but we just had lunch. read more

This place doesn't have many reviews so I thought I'd add one. Really cozy spot with a lot of open space. Perfect to come and work or just hang out. There's comfy couches right by the window and nice warm lighting inside. The staff is very friendly, and the coffee is great. Even a good cup of coffee tastes bitter when served poorly. What should have been a great coffee learning experience resulted in the worst service I've ever encountered. The "baristas" did not offer any savory suggestions-just stated and then shamed my son for his coffee selection and then discussed "his ignorance" in front of me. Here I am, reviewing coffee again. Honestly, I might have a problem, but I've definitely had enough to make some real comparisons. I go here frequently, it's consistent, the coffee is pleasantly strong, and they know how to make a decent dry cappuccino which is generally how I judge a coffeehouse. I like the variety of seating (I grab a tall stool so I can dangle my legs and feel six again) and the open floor plan leaves you never feeling crowded without losing the cozy atmosphere. The art they always have incorporated is really nice, bonus points for supporting the artistic community, and it's a great place for a meetup, social group etc. Just found out they have music and we look forward to enjoying that in the future. Basically it's a real coffee shop, not just somewhere to buy coffee, and we don't have enough of those. It's located near enough the Saturday market without being on top of it that we add it to a Saturday morning jaunt, and nearby parking is good which never hurts my feelings. Service is always friendly and chatty if you're into that, and the prices are fair. read more

Y'ALL. Dark Pine is a hidden gem -- not only because they share a suite with Togo's, which can be a tiny bit confusing upon your first visit, but because they have excellent coffee/espresso beverages at ridiculously affordable prices. Hint: enter thru what appears to be the Togo's entrance, and hang an immediate left and you'll see Dark Pine in the southeast corner of the large, industrial-like space. Parking is free in one of the three Togo's spots in the lot, or paid parking (kinda spendy at $4/hour), or paid street parking. I believe there's also a garage but haven't checked it out yet. WiFi is free and fast. They accept Apple Pay, as well as having a really cool POS system. Another hint: insert your debit card in the lower front part of the display, below where your total appears on the screen. Email or text receipts available, as well as a loyalty points program. I didn't catch how the point system works so I'll have to check back for that. Oh and mobile ordering via an app (didn't catch the name). Folks, I got a 16oz white mocha for $3.50. This is nearly unheard of anymore. Another perk: they offer $1 off for students. Which means I *actually* got my white mocha for $2.50. I ended up tipping the barista what I saved in my discount because this is STILL cheaper than Starbucks. They do refills, as well. Guess for how much? A buck. $1. No, I *will not* shut up, because I know you just yelled that at me in disbelief. Oh yeah, they have some Sweet Life pastries that are sold almost at cost. I got a half cinnamon roll (which was huge) for all of $2.50. The only possible downside is that they share a space with Togo's. This is only a bummer if you don't like sandwiches, in which case you're a monster and don't belong here anyway. Support this cool, local biz! read more

This AMAZING coffee place is located in the old Togo's. I work downtown and this is my go to spot now. (I used to go up the street to a well known coffee spot....but that owner treats his employees terribly...ask anybody) Anywho, I'm not here to bash places. The restroom toilet never works, the employees are aloof and barely enjoy working there.

Nice little shop and a nice little visit! I needed to get out for a walk and decided to visit Dark Pine Coffee for an iced tea. The shop is open and airy. I think I even got to see a new mountain mural going up on the wall! It looks like they have quite a wide choice of coffee-based drinks and syrups. They also have Sweet Life baked goods available. The barista was friendly and quick to take my order. I ordered a berry iced tea, which was brewed/iced to order. Not sure what that process was, but the tea was very weak. I'll likely go back and try something else to see if this was a one-off experience. Overall, cute place that seems like it'll be a great study or work spot down the road. read more

Wow. Stopped for something cold on a hot day driving down from Cannon Beach. I ordered a blended latte and it might have been the best coffee experience of my life. Or at least the very best icy drink. Subtly sweet, it absolutely hit the spot. My husband had the blended mocha. He walked over and said "of course I said 'no whip' until she said they had chocolate whipped cream!" We could not have asked for more. The beautiful-in-every-way young woman server cheered us in the midst of this long trek. If you are anywhere near Eugene do not miss this gem. read more

When I tell you that this is the best coffee in town, I absolutely mean it. Tanner and his crew have their business down to an art form. It's almost poetic, the way they make and craft their coffees. The atmosphere is clean, tastefully decorated, and sets a wonderful tone for a quick drink, or sitting down to enjoy it in their shop.
