Doctor Darius Schneider is a gift from God! I found him with references from my Dr Daniel Einhorn . I met Dr. Schneider and he was very understanding of my problem. He said that I thyroid gland enlarged so he decided to cancer cells test and use laser surgery needed to treat the problem and that this could be covered under insurance due to the problems I was having. For years I have been encouraged to have my thyroid reduced to improve my swollen on my neck I knew only surgery would help however, who was I going to trust with such a delicate situation. I saw the doctor once. I liked him. The office staff is not responsive and appears incompetent. They clearly have more patients than they can accommodate. The office support staff appears unqualified and uncaring. Situations like this are usually about money. Dr Schneider may have excellent credentials, but, he certainly lacks good patients skills. Unfortunately, he had huge shoes to fill, with the retirement of Dr Einhorn. I have waited and waited to hear back from him, with the results of my blood work. I have called the office several times.... In my many years with Dr Einhorn, I always received speedy bloodwork results, and, I was always treated with warmth, and, caring, something that Dr Schneider greatly lacks. Unfortunately, I am forced to find another Dr with excellent credentials, experience, and, good patient skills.... One who follows up and cares. read more

The doctor is knowledgeable and takes time with each patient. The office wait times are long (45min-1.5 hours) so plan accordingly. But most frustrating, neither doctor or his staff is responsive post-appointment. I've followed up more than 4-5 times for his office to send in a request for a CT scan to my insurance (as Dr. Schneider suggested) and I have yet to hear back -- even if their support staff say they will get back in 24-48 hours. There is no sense of urgency, professionalism is lacking and you're treated without courtesy. The doctor also does not reply to you when you reach out. I would seek other doctors (there are many great ones in San Diego) and not waste your time getting care here. read more

He is a great doctor, very conservative. Not always available but he is good. He is willing to also give you recommendations for OTC medicines that could be good for your condition. He keeps on top of new evolutions in thyroid health. I think once he has a stable office staff he will be 5 stars. I have to call a lot to follow up on my meds and stuff. They are not very experienced. I will keep going because Darius is young enough to keep up with the latest technology and old enough to know what he is doing. read more

He has been the only doctor that knew exactly what I needed to feel normal again and for my health to get back to where it should be. I had an appointment with Dr. Mba who is in partnership with Dr. Schneider and I liked him and how attentive he was. He ordered blood work and a bone density test for me but I have had a hell of a time getting the results and my prescription renewed. I have called 2 times and each time I am told that someone will call me back and no one calls me back. I am now going on vacation and don't have my new prescription. The doctors may be good but their staff is lacking. They don't even read or respond to message on Follow My Health like other Sharp doctors do. I was finally scheduled for the osteoporosis infusion. Upon entering the office I said I wanted the full hour treatment. I got a uh hum. I explained more than once that I wanted the full hour treatment. I go in the infusion room and am hooked up. Low and behold the infusion took 15 minutes. I had been warned about this from friends but the doctor did not honor my request. I told the dr. how disappointed I was. That same day around 2pm I was starting to be wracked with pain. It got worse and worse and continued all the next day and part of the 2nd day. I finally wrote to him and explained how I felt and what I was going to do. I did contact Sharp Community Group with a complaint. I lost all trust in this doctor because he did exactly what I asked him not to do. I guess if you save time you make more money. He did apologize because I told him he was going to be reported. Dr.'s don't usually apologize but he was threatened. The Hippocratic Oath states: "I will abstain from all intentional wrong-doing and harm". Find another doctor. read more

Especially to a new patient who just got referred and has been trying to schedule an appt but can never get through and actually has a lot going on. The only reason I got referred to this Dr is because I'm active duty and my endo is going on deployment other wise I wouldn't be going out in town to start a whole new treatment. read more

He is really kind and humble,and caring Dr. I highly recommend this Dr. You could tell this Dr really likes his proffesion. I Saw Dr Schneider back on december,cause I was interested in radio ablation for thyroid nodule,unfortunately I was not a candidate, and he recomended partial thyroid removal,I'm so grateful that he was honest with me,and it show me that he really cared about my health, cause if it was another Dr, he would have proceeded with thyroid ablation. Also he was the first one to inform me that I actually have 2 solid nodules instead of 1.Anyone looking for an endocronologist,I highly recomend Dr Scheneider, he is the best Dr,and you will be in great hands. He spent barely 6 minutes with me at our first visit, after letting me wait for 45 minutes in his patient room, while browsing on his cell phone the adjacent room in view. He was rude to his staff and he never called me back after my blood work results arrived. Absolutely the most horrible experience I have ever had. My insurance should not have paid him. read more

The doctor is great, however there are competency issues with the billing department and the staff. I was a patient of dr Einhorn's before and he was wonderful and so was his staff. Dr Schneider is very efficient and knowledgeable, which I appreciate. However, his staff books appointments right on top of each other so you are waiting for an hour every time. Then he says he can book at video conference then the office doesn't explain how to get it done, nor is able to do that. I set up an online profile, but they don't answer messages there. I called back (after leaving a message the week before without a call back) and they told me I wasn't covered under my plan which was "covered California" however I am not covered California. I tried to explain that, but she was really rude with me and told I am not in network. I called my insurance provider to verify and I was correct. All they had to do was look at my account and they could have seen that my bill was in network, but they they didn't do that.
