Pros: Online sales management team is willing to negotiate a competitive OTD price and sales package. Cons: Inexperienced online sales person cost them an online buyer. After multiple days of negotiating the OTD price, the new sales person sent the incorrect vehicle spec sheet and failed to immediately correct the mistake. Only after prompting by another teammate was the correct spec sheet sent. The new sales person also failed to consult with management during negotiations on OTD pricing and assumed the price could not be further lowered, even for a returning customer. Everyone was great! Edison was professional, kind and knowledgeable (he did talk a bit much for me, but that could be a tactic they use, lol). Showed me only what I asked for, a little slow in showing me the numbers as requested but he finally got it and we got down to business. I also liked that he and the sales manager showed me the benefits of leasing vs buying and the extreme monthly price difference. I was looking at the Copper Crest Lexus RX350 and wanted to trade in my Audi Q5. They worked very hard to get me to my idea monthly payment but unfortunately it was out of my comfortability amount to pay. They kept in touch to really make the deal work and I appreciate that very much. Oh BTW, they did an amazing job renovating the store, because when I had my Lexus IS250 it was small and outdated. Purchase a used car from Darcar Lexus of Silver Spring on April 04,2026 with sales man Josh Kabira and Finance Manager Jose Guerra and still have not received my license plate. They said it will be mailed to me in 6-8 weeks. I reach out to Darcar Lexus at the end of the 8 weeks and was told that they never sent out the paperwork and should be ready in 2 weeks. 2 weeks later I received a call from Julie from the tag and title office stating my insurance expired and have to send a new proof of insurance. I explained to Julie my insurance was valid on date of purchase. I emailed Julie new proof of insurance and confirmed she received the email. Its going on to week 11 and still can't get answer from this location. I called numerous times to talk to Josh Kabira, Jose Guerra and the Used car manager and the receptionist will put you on hold for a long time, then say no one is available if I would like to leave a message. I left several messages and emails and still no one calls you back or responds to my emails. Once the sale was made they don't care about anything. This place is the bane of my existence. They gave me the most shittest car ever. First month battery died and had to have it replaced. Two months later window regulator breaks. A month later. It needs over a $1,000 in service for a 60,000 mile service when I bought the car at 55,900 miles. They should have done the service before selling the car. A month later. Needs a new catalytic converter due to bad spark plugs. This damn car has been costing me more than it's worth and that is fucking bullshit I bought the car December 2nd and it is now June 15th I should not be having this many problems after 6 months of having the car and only driving it 2,000 miles. Best part is they sold me a warranty that they claim covers bumper-to-bumper, but wouldn't cover my catalytic converter so why the fuck did I pay two grand for something that's not going to do what they're supposed to do. If you want business to come back, you gotta do better than this. This was a really messed up situation and I'm super pissed and I will make sure to let everybody know so they don't come to you. The car I originally wanted was sold, but they had a good selection and I found another I liked. The buying process was smooth, and the salesperson, Stephen, stayed connected throughout. I was promised a free Darcars Assurance package to help lower insurance premiums, but I never received anything. I followed up 6-8 times, and after a while, Stephen stopped responding. It's been over six months and I still haven't received what I was promised. If you're an out-of-state buyer, be cautious and make sure you get everything in writing before you leave. On a positive note, Rocio from the Tag and Title team was very helpful in resolving a delay with my Michigan plates. Good selection and decent buying experience, but poor post-sale support. Bought the used cars from them with the carfax they provided me of a clean carfax but the car was actually in a previous accident (according to another dealership I went to, to get my car checked). I understand the previous owner could've not reported the accident but the previous Lexus dealership this car was at did NOT certify the car because it did not pass the Lexus certification qualifications. Called the previous dealership and found out DARCARS silver spring bought this car at auction and then proceeded to certify it. Called them out for it and of course, they didn't care. Wouldn't work things out with me AT ALL. 2. General Manager makes a "deal" with you if you write them a 5 star review so most of these reviews are probably fake. 3. Was promised to fill up my car, get a car wash, and fix something in the interior of my car by Ryan Waltjen (Sales Manager) since I bought my car at night and the service department was closed. NEVER responded to any of my 4 emails to this day (14 months later). 4. Spoke to Joe (another manager) when I went in to complain and I would've rather have this guy tell me to leave than have me waste my time talking and him lean back in his chair, look around, and not give a care in the world to what we had to say. I went in and test drove an 2017 Lexus IS AWD 2 times. I was told that my vehicle would be ready on Monday from Saturday and Sunday by 11 a.m. they were just inspecting and doing work to the car and wanted me to wait around and waste my valuable time when I was told one thing. The sales guy was nice and professional until I told I challenged him. Bottom line be professional off the brake and don't lie because it shows up at some point during the transaction. Asked for an OTD breakdown and they added thousands of dollars worth of bullshit charges in addition to the asking price. This included a 2% commission. They then hid $3k in the total without itemizing it. Fine, kinda expected behavior in this industry. We made a fair offer in response, agreeing to asking price plus doc fee, taxes, tags, etc. The salesperson had to wait for his manager to decide. But more recently I took my car in for a routine service and they added a bunch of BS charges (changing my wipers etc)- without consulting me. my car is a little less than two years old. I don't really know where to begin. My car was stolen on July 21st 2024. I have a LoJack on my car so I personally was able to recover my car myself from DC. Of course the passenger rear window was broken, along with the computer dashboard sensor off because they used a kill switch to duplicate the fob and start the engine. GEICO told me to take my car to the dealership to get the repairs done. I bought the car from Passport Toyota but they instructed me that a Lexus dealership would need to fix the computer modular era. I chose Darcar because it was the closest Lexus dealership compared to the one in Annapolis. I dropped my car off on July 23rd, explaining the details and letting them know the insurance adjuster would be out to see them. A week later on July 30th the insurance adjuster texted me asking me how was my car. I called him to let him know I had not heard from the dealership in reference to my car. I called the dealership once I got off the phone with him. I was instructed they were waiting on approval from the dealership. I was like how is that when the insurance adjuster just asked me how was my car and said he had approved everything when he came out to see my car on July 24th. I noticed my LoJack isn't working for some reason so I let them know that. On August 3rd on a Saturday I get a car from the collision department letting me know they had my car to do the repairs to the body and they needed my signature in order to begin. I told them they'll get it on Monday because Saturday I was away from a computer and scanner. On Monday after asking them a few questions about the forms, we went back and forth and I sent the form attached to the last email I sent. On Thursday I get a call from the insurance adjuster and collision department saying they needed the form, in which I stated I signed it on Monday. They swore they never received it but I was like all 3 of the emails attached didn't receive it and we were corresponding before my last one. I resent it and cc'd the insurance adjuster and finally they received this one. Now my car was with the collision department until August 27th in which they had to take it back to the service department to reactivate my LoJack. Now all of this time I am past my 30 days of rental in which I'm coming out of pocket for on top of paying my regular car note and my deductible. I constantly call because I want my car. I've finally called back in which at the last minute I'm told I can come get my vehicle. Now I scramble to drop off the rental and go pick up my car so that I am not charged another day for the rental. I go pick up my car in which they made an extra key but the back was missing to it, my gas in my car is completely empty, I crawl to the gas station praying it doesn't cut off. On top of that a few days later my maintenance required light comes on. I can see that while my car was at the dealership the warning light came on, on August 22nd. In which they saw it and could of easily just fixed it being as though I have the maintenance warranty with my car. I had the worst service experience with this dealership here. Right now I am right back where I bought the car from getting it serviced. Had my car from 7/23/24-8/27/24 for a broken window, minor scratches on the car, and the computer modular error. I really hate this Lexus dealership. I've come to the conclusion that business must be bad for them because it seems like they're trying to make it up on the back end with existing customers. My review is about today but for context, last time I came here I was given a laundry list of things that needed to be replaced for about $750. I took the diagnostic report to a trusted repair shop and they said NOTHING on the list needed to be replaced. So back to today, I got a flat tire while driving and the dealerships that I preferred all closed before I could get there. I called Lexus and explained that I had a tire in my trunk but my trunk seemed jammed and that I had a flat. They said bring it in. We are open until 9pm. When I got in, they said the techs leave at 7pm and no one can work on it tonight. He also said that it would cost me $250 for a diagnostic fee to check out my trunk. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager saw that I had a setting for valet turned on that prevented my trunk from opening and apologized about the misinformation about them being able to work on my car tonight. I really felt tricked into coming to Lexus. If I needed to wait until tomorrow, I could have gone to a trusted dealership. My boyfriend ended up changing my tire outside of lexus in 15 mins since lexus had no one available. read more

First, I'm sorry for any customers who were victimized by this terrible bunch of ruthless liars, scammers, and thieves while I write this late review. Second, DARCARS, I see that you like to stalk your reviewers, so I am giving you full permission to contact me directly about anything that I state here and try to regain a customer. I'm calling out Finance, the Service Dept, and Tag&Title. I bought a used Acura TLX. I noticed that the Carfax has a recall, so I expressed concern to In Choi. He said that their system is more accurate, and it shows no recalls. One of the documents that I had to sign noted that there are no recalls on the VIN, as per this system. So why did I receive a letter from Acura a couple of weeks later confirming that my vehicle does have the exact recall that I asked about? Next, In "sold" me on the tire & wheel protection and the platinum care insurance packages. Within a few weeks, I called the service dept to schedule a covered service visit. They said i have no warranty. What? I called In, who didn't answer calls, return messages, or respond to emails. So I drove 1.5 hours out of my way to talk to him face-to-face. He said that the service rep is inexperienced and he would secure an appt. Days later I still had not received a confirmation, so I called the service dept again. They told me that they do not service Acuras and advised me to go to an Acura dealership. After quite a bit of back and forth, I decided to cancel the warranty, since it was within 30 days. I drove another 1.5 hours out of my way to sit in In's face again. He tried to convince me that Acura should have taken the insurance. They are not obligated to honor your insurance; YOU are obligated to honor your insurance! The fact that you sold me something that you KNOW you will not honor for my vehicle is beyond shady! Oh, and not only did they slow walk the reimbursement, but they tried to prorate it! I had to fight that with In too! I scheduled the Assurance services and car detail about a month later. I rearranged my entire day, got a loaner, and arrived with only 3 ppl in line. 5 hrs later, I returned to see that my car was still sitting on the lot untouched. I went home, but just before parking I received a call stating that the car needed more time to cure and would be ready at 10a the next morning. The next day I drove the 1.5 hrs only to see my car still sitting in the exact same spot as the day before! After several mins of looking for my file and keys, the service rep told me that the car was not finished. WHAT?! I made an appt 5 wks in adv, dropped my car off 24+ hours prior, and drove back and forth but you are NOT finished??!!! The car wasn't that dirty after 1 month! They delivered my car 5+ hrs later, but I still saw the same foot scuff on the driver's door that was there when I dropped it off. What did you actually do to detail the car for 28+ hrs?! Lastly, DARCARS was supposed to contact me when my tag came in. After 60 days and no call, I reached out to Title&Tag. I sat on the phone for 30 mins before someone picked up and immediately hanged the phone. I called back and when the rep transferred me again there was an immediate pick up/hang down. On my last call the receptionist personally went to tag and title to find out about my tag. When she returned, she stated that I owe $32 dollars and they will not issue my tags until it's paid. WHAT??! I wrote a PAID IN FULL check for every single thing that came with my vehicle! I had to deal with In Choi again! He could not give me a straight answer as to why my tags were delayed, but he told me that if the police happened to stop me for driving illegally I could call the dealership and let the cops talk to him. SERIOUSLY??! Not only can I not reach you when I call, but what cop do you think will ever talk to you while he is writing a ticket for me? What kind of scam are you running DARCARS? Had I not read all of my paperwork, tested the warranty, or pursued the injustices how much additional money would you have gotten out of me? This behavior and culture is obviously encouraged and allowed from the top down, and it needs to be investigated. read more

The salesperson was very friendly and engaging .We had negotiated a price $ 500 less than was listed for a used NX300 low mileage on the phone which was done because the dealership is over an hour drive from my house. Upon arrival I checked the car out, Test drove it and wanted to buy. As soon as a finance person came into the picture , the experience went bad. They wanted the $500 off negotiated for unexplained "taxes" . I firmly said what was agreed upon and if she would not accept the agreed upon price , I would walk away from a 35k transaction due to the fact I had a check from my credit union for what I asked for on the phone , all in taxes etc. ...out the door price. This Princess became downright huffy scrutinizing the check, staring at it like it would produce the $500 she felt so entitled to out of my pocket. Held me up for literally 40 minutes with this BS as I said call my credit union to verify instead of us sitting here in a smoke filled room as that was coming out of her ears metaphorically speaking . Finally, I was told they would apply for the tags, title , etc and drove the SUV home. After 3 months with no registration mailed as was promised , I had to drive back again to the Dealer for a new temp tag. Meanwhile my credit union had been patiently waiting for the title as the Lexus dealer was not cooperating. I called the DMV and told them of the transaction, and they said "We have spoken with the dealer and they know what we require to change title" yet had not produced it. This went on for 2 more months...call the dealer, call the bank , call the DMV. Finally my bank said due to the fact the dealer / I had not produced a title (Blaming this on me ) and that they were going to change the loan to a 8.99 % unsecured personal loan to cover the 35K and I had 2 weeks to get it done or that would take effect....I went ballistic on the dealer and the very last day of the two week deadline they FINALLY got the paperwork done and registered the vehicle which took 6 months to get done. I could not recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. Stay clear! read more

It was a totally different experience this time around thanks to Kieran (salesman) and Jaryd (asst general manager). They were both very easy to work with and there was no pressure at all. I ended up purchasing a vehicle and I was very pleased with the process and I felt like the pricing was fair. I wish that I could give a half star. We live 2.5 miles from Lexus of Silver Spring so decided to stop in and see how things went. My expectations were very VERY low. Well, we worked with Sam Kim (Sales) and Brenden McCarron (Finance) who have completely changed my view on this location and it's customer service! Both men were very thorough, patient, and friendly. And I'm pretty sure Brenden and my husband would get along very well outside of work (haha). They spent most of the time laughing and making jokes. They really gave you the luxury service you expect when walking into a luxury car dealership. They both ensured me that what I previously experienced was not how they do business and hate that I was not given the quality service they represent. After a second visit we left with our new car and the excitement that you should have when making such a large purchase. Sam is even coming to our home to help us connect the car to garage and setup/go over all the features. We are both looking forward to seeing both gentlemen when we go in for service in the future and would recommend them to any and everyone! It is definitely a December to remember! read more
