Extremely aggressive and rude. I called after seeing a vehicle I may be interested in. They didn't have the vehicle on the website but tried to offere something different. I told him I wasn't really interested and the call ended. 30mins later I get a call from someone being pushy and I tell him I don't want to be on a call list, I don't want a call back, I don't want follow up attempts. Don't go here!!!! They are completely dishonest. I had a battery problem with my car, which was still under warranty and they told me that since it was under warranty they could come and have it towed to their shop. Well when I ae to pick up the car the man told me that the battery was NOT under warranty and that now not only did I have to pay the whole price for the battery but they also charges me $105 for the towing...total I was charged $350 when I could have just called AAA to my house and have them replace the battery there. The worst customer service department ever experienced. Since I own a Ford F-150 and purchased 2 F-150's here, I always wanted to have my truck serviced by a ford dealer. I purchased the Darcars Protection Plan and Service agreement. The first six years was great they took care of my service needs. The last four years have been horrible, every time I need service on my vehicle I get sick to my stomach knowing that I have to deal with these customer service representatives. They have lied to me on several occasions and have kept my vehicle as long as 3 days for simple repairs. I was in Las Vegas during superbowl weekend and left my vehicle there for 100,000 mile turne up my Service representative gave me a call while I was still in Vegas, letting me know what was going on and to tell me it was going to be $ 900.00+ dollars, fine I just want my vehicle running good. You can imagine my suprise when the invoice was $ 1700.00+ dollars almost double what I had been told.( Thanks Joyce GREAT JOB NOT). In less than a month my turn signals wasn't working, I left my truck at Darcars Ford Service Department Lanham, MD, Three days later and for $600.00+ dollars my turn signals worked, seems like a lot of money for something that should not have failed to begin with. Knowing that they can not be trusted, I once again went in to have my brakes pads replaced and regular service, I arrived at 7am and asked 3 times can you take care of this today, I was assured that yes they could service my vehicle that day. I was willing to bring it back a later day but was told 3 times that it would not be a problem. I went home and since I hadn't heard anything at 4:15pm, I called and asked for the service (not) representive that was suppose to be helping me and had assured me that there was no problem leaving my vehicle, I was told she had not returned from lunch. I got an Uber and went to pick up my vehicle at 4:45pm 10hours later. After waiting for 30 minutes, they finally came out and told me at 5:15 they had not started on my vehicle yet. The asked me to leave it longer. My time is very valuable to me. This was the last time I will ever go to this service center. They did not hesitate selling me the Darcars Protection Plan and The Service Agreement and taking my money. But when It came time to fulfill their end of the agreements the treated me so badly that I finally left never to return. I only wish that I had listened to my friends and went somewhere else long ago. I went to Sheehy Ford in Marlowe Heights this morning and had a wonderful experience, I would rather pay for my service and be treated fairly and like a valued customer, than to continue experience the horrible service that I had been recieving from DArcars Ford in Lanham. I hope you are happy that you sold me a Service Agreement you did not intend to fulfill. I recently purchased a 2020 Kia Telluride at Darcars Lanham Kia in Lanham md., and I am compelled to write this review. BUYERS BEWARE! Marcel the finance manager added in the paperwork an extended warranty and gap insurance with out my acceptance or agreement, he didn't even mention it. He used this crude tactic without my knowledge. I looked over the contract and didn't realize it was on there. After the deal was done and I got home that night I looked the contract again. When I seen he had 3000 for an extended warranty and 850 for gap insurance I was very upset because we didn't talk about an extended warranty or gap insurance. The very next day I went back up there to talk to Marcel but he wasn't there. So I called him the day after and when I told him we didn't discuss these items and I wanted them remove he made it seem like we had a misunderstanding. "There is no misunderstanding u didn't offer me the extended warranty or gap insurance u just put it in there", I said. So he assured me he will take care of it. He told me I should hear from him by the end of the week, i didn't hear from him. So that Tuesday went there to give him the title for my trade and he looked me in my eye and told me again he would handle it. Marcel told me that if I didn't hear from him by Friday to call him fist thing Monday. Of coarse I didn't hear from him ,so I call Monday, he said "glad u called to remind me ill call now", so I told him I was thinking about keeping the extended I asking could he send me some info on what and when it covers so he said ok. Three days later is when he sent it ,by this time I am fed up and just wanted it taken off. So now nearly 3 weeks since the purchase im still in the process of resolving this issue. Please be careful when dealing with Lanham Kia, i don't want him to do to u what he did to me. Every dealership I dealt with when it got to financing they would try to sell u these things not just put it in, in the hopes u would overlook it . Darcars Ford service area is the worst, they almost had a death on their hands. My husband too our car in to get a normal oil change which includes tire rotation. They did not tighten the lug nuts properly and my husband brought this to their attention not once, not twice, but three times after he drove the car on the lot. The third time they assured him everything was fine he was on 95 to come back home and the whole car starting shaking and he knew everything was not fine and he went back and spoke to Mike who confirmed their gun they used to remove and replace the lug nuts was not working properly. Really! They finally got it right but get this I wrote to the manager of the dealer do you know for all that they did not even provide any formal apology or offer a free service or anything. they are pathetic. I wonder how they would of felt if my husband had an accident on account of their negligence. read more

Worst dealer experience ever! To start, my sales person was helpful although none of the cars that I wanted to test drive had any gas in them. I was only able to circle the block once without running out of gas. After deciding on a car, I met with finance. They definitely need to update the back of the building. The bathroom was gross and I couldn't stop looking at some sort of vent that was falling from the ceiling (held up by tape) in the finance office. On the way to the finance office, our salesman ran ahead to speak with the finance guy before we got there (not sure why) and as the salesman was on his way out the door, finance asked a question about the deal that he didn't want to answer in front of us (weird) and said he would call him. I was still willing to forgive all of this if we could come to an agreement that I liked. It was late, almost closing, we couldn't reach something that I liked, but finance said they would work on it in the morning. I called three times the following day and sent 2 email. NO RESPONSE! I decided to drive in the next day, understanding that they may have customers in store who they were working with (and could be a reason they didn't call me back). I went in and was told that the finance guy was in with a customer and would be 90 minutes. They asked if I wanted to come back. I said that I'd rather not and asked to meet with someone else. I literally stood for 20ish minutes with no help. I then sat down for another 10 while I hear continuous pages for finance. Nothing. No one came to explain what was going on. I decided to leave. No one bothered to follow up after leaving. That was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Especially from a car dealer! Not being able to get a dealership to call you back is unheard of! I took my business elsewhere and I am very happy with my new car. I would not recommend this dealership unless you're willing to just sign on the dotted line to whatever they give you. I don't think they're interested in doing any additional work. My roommate is interested in a car that they have and we are going to drive an hour away for the same car just to avoid this dealership. What a shame! read more

I purchased my Honda Civic from here a while back ago. After I purchased my car I realized my car made dragging noises. I contact the service department and my used car salesperson. I was told that Kia does not specialize in my Honda... they wouldn't even look at my car. They told me to take it to Honda, but Honda charge a $99 diagnostic fee? Ridiculous. The finance person also added warranty with my purchase that added my car from 10,000 to 14,000. My first car purchase and I was a fool! read more

If I can give zero star I would. I made an appointment 1 week in advance to get my oil change. I then leave it there for 2 1/2 hr and came back to get it. They told me they didn't even start on my car and I just have to wait. What the hell is that! What kind of service is this! I gave my car to the assistant manager Mohamed janneh and he told me I can either wait another hour or more cause he still don't know when they will work on it or I can take my car and leave! Very bad experience buying a 2014 Ford Mustang from Darcars Ford Kia Lanham. I have all the details listed below, but in summary; 1. They promised to speed buff the car, but they didn't and made me drive 3 times for it and ended up only washing the exterior! 2. Sold me the car with one key only, and got an attitude when I asked to get the second one. Their excuse for everything (including no floor mats) is that It's a used car! First of all, after paying the full amount in cash and when I went to pick up the car, I got only one key and when I asked for the second key they said they don't have it and I have to buy a second one which costs $300. When I explained that this is unacceptable and that they never mentioned that it has one key only, first they said that they mentioned that (which they never did), then they said that it is what it is and if I said something before the deal was done and that this is a deal breaker maybe they could've done something about it. Also, while making the deal, I asked for the whole car to be buffed, which they agreed on "but I can't fix the scratches on the fender" the sales manager (Ali) said. I said that was fine just buff the car and whatever remains on it is fine. When I went to pick up the car it wasn't buffed, and when I asked the salesman (Abu) he said that they don't do that! So I went the next day to talk to the sales manager (Ali, who made the promise), at first he said it was done, then he said that he will take care of it, just come back another day. When I went the "other day" and talked to the body shop manager, he said that he was asked to only buff the scratched fender. I went to talk to the general manager (Darvish). He said he will take care of that. At the end after around 3.5 hours I was so tired, and they ended up only washing the exterior! In addition, when I went to fix a broken power outlet which I found when I picked up the car, the service department told me that they have to reschedule me for another day since I didn't bring it in at 8:00 am. At least, the GM "Darvish" was able to make them fix it that day. Bottom line; very unprofessional and dishonest staff. If you're buying a car from them (which I strongly do not recommend) make sure everything you need be done before you pay anything or get it in writing! read more

I don't appreciate the lack of communication with Jason and Alex. They expect you to know the process when they are there specifically to assist you with the process and provide customer service. I don't know who I should be more upset at ....Geico for sending me over to these clowns or DarCars Collision for their lack of customer and for their assumption that we customers walk inside knowing the full process with no help from them, I had to call numerous times for the status of my vehicle, when I did finally reach someone they said "oh yeah we close at 5:45 so don't be late" ..........I will never ever again visit and after looking at the work they completed, its SHOTTY to say the least. This is a review on the service department. I have been a loyal customer of Darcars service department for over 10 years. It is near my workplace and I like having their shuttle to work. I have called previously and was told the appointments were not required for oil changes and most other repairs. This morning I was turned away for an oil change. I really wanted to get a 70,000 mile checkup in addition to the oil change but that is pretty standard. Another lady ahead of me was told the same thing, appointments are NOW required for oil changes. I'll just go to Jiffy Lube and avoid the hassle. It's too bad because it used to be a good place to have my Ford serviced, but apparently they have more business than they need. read more

I recently leased a Ford from Darcars Ford Lanham and have spent every day of the past four months regretting it. I was lured into going with a Ford because they offer rebates for being a recent college graduate and another for being a service member, both of which I qualified for. Because of the rebates, the price of the vehicle became more attractive and practical. When I leased the vehicle, I had to write a holding check until I could provide proof that I met the requirements for both rebates. I provided the proof that Ford requires, however, Darcars refused to recognize the rebates and cashed my holding checks. It has literally been months that I have now spent trying to get that money back. Hess, the General Manager, has made this entire process one of the most difficult and upsetting experiences that I have ever been a part of. He has been trying to take advantage of my age, financial status and lack of experience in car buying. He has been rude, disrespectful and dishonest. He has had me on hold for hours, hung up on me, and has straight up ignored my calls. Andrew, the General Sales Manager, never returns my calls and has brushed me off as if my concerns are not a big deal. I have never written a review online before, but I do hope that you read this and take my advice seriously. I have regretted doing business with Darcars Ford Lanham since the day I signed that contract. read more

I took my 2002 Ford van in for coil pack replacement. I knew this was the issue because I had just had one of these replaced by them a few months earlier. I told the tech that it was cutting off also but that could have been from the bad coil pack. I had them replace all that had not previously replaced. I picked up my van and got two blocks before I had to take it right back. It ran miserably, the engine had a knock, acceleration was bad and it was stalling and cutting off. I took it back and told the service advisor that it could not have been test driven and she wanted to argue that it was but she didn't see it. The technician that worked on it, supposedly the best they have came out to test drive it with me and it ran miserably. He said possibly the throttle body was dirty and there might be an exhaust leak (not when I brought it in). We get back and the service advisor still wants to argue that it was driven and the possible throttle body issue and the noise (sounds like an exhaust leak) was something that I didn't tell them about. No one in their right mind would knowingly give a vehicle running that badly back to a customer and not say anything. She claimed it was the customer's responsibility to properly diagnose the symptoms so that they can fix it. I told her that was their job and that the diagnostic equipment will reveal any issues. She claimed the machine didn't have codes for everything. I got a loaner car and then heard from her the next day, $1,200.00 for a new throttle body ($900 part / $300 labor), with no option of cleaning it. I told her forget it and picked up my car. I did my homework, spoke to two other mechanics and they said possible dirty throttle body and to clean it, it should be a DIY project. I then researched the internet and saw no cases of needing to replace it, only to clean it. I purchase a can of throttle body cleaner (less than $5.00) removed all the air ductwork and then the removed the throttle body, it was very dirty so I cleaned it up real good, put it back together along with a new air filter and started it up. I also used an OBD tool to check the engine codes and contrary to the service advisor's claims, there were codes for throttle and mass air flow. I doubt that they even hooked it up to the diagnostic machine. I cleared them and my van is running like brand new, idles so steady you can't feel a thing, power and acceleration smooth and strong. I guess the knock wasn't an exhaust leak because even that was gone. This is the quality that I had expected to get from them. If I had to do this repair a second time it would take me under an hour and the cost of the cleaner. I can see why they have such a low rating if that was supposedly their best mechanic. The service advisor, despite the fact that there were so many problems after the repair was hell bent on defending the poor work and making excuses that she became very frustrating to even deal with. I would recommend checking Yelp first as I should have. I was very unhappy with their service. This is typical service from the average dealership, focus on the dollar, not the customer. read more

I was within an hour of purchasing a vehicle, when the owner of the dealership stepped into the negotiations and tried to get more money out of me after deal was already struck with the sales person. They were so anxious for a sale that they told me I'd be done in 20 minutes and it took 2 hours and they ruined my day as I had plenty of other things to do. They were so anxious to arrange insurance and a loan for me that they pushed when I could have gotten a better deal from my own bank and insurance company on my own. I took my Ford Explorer to Lanham Ford service department for repairs and when I picked it up nothing had changed. By the time I got my car home 5 miles away, the exact same problem that I reported to the service department was happening again. I couldnt use my car. I took the car back to them and they acknowledged that for the 1300+ bill they didnt fix the problem. I had to rent a car for a week and picked up the car again. I noticed a loose large screw and nut between the wind shield and hood. The next day on my way to work the car again had the same problem and stopped in the middle of the road. So dangerous. Lanham Ford wont take responsibility. Rented a car for 2 weeks. Found a new mechanic who diagnosed the problem and fixed it. The new mechanic said the problem was easy to identify a d not as costly as all of the charges I was billed by Lanham Ford. Lanham Ford won't refund my money. The service manager was no help and the general manager ignores my calls. It is the worst Ford service department I have used in 10 years owning my Ford. I am filing a law suit against them for my costs and damages. read more

Just purchased a new car, thought everything was well until I checked my credit score after all of these letters kept coming in my mailbox from different banks. Came in with financing and was told I could only get "rebates," if I financed with Kia. However, they ran my credit for over 10banks behind my back after I verbally, and very specifically told them only to apply for Kia. My score has dropped about 40 points since I've gotten my car from this place AND now I have all of these inquiry's that will show up for two years. I was in the look for a new car. I some contact with Samuella threw email. We email back in fourth several times and she was attentive but no pushy. I finally had the chance to visit the location. So I email her and I gave her time and she was ready for me. She was attentive. I spoke about a particular car and she never pressured me about another car. She help with a lot questions that I didn't even have to ask. After getting details about pricing and spoke with Finance manager Lisa. The transition was smooth. Lisa was just friendly and personable. She help me get me range of payment I was looking for. Even the general manager thank me for the purchase. I they all seemed to be happy and cared that I was happy with my purchase. Even though it was a sell atmosphere. There was a balance of sales caring which so hard to find in the buying process. The experience owith Samuella and Lisa makes it 5 stars but the were other people there who did acklowdge me or even offered me a seat while was waiting on paperwork. The cashier also didn't seem to have the same enjoyable attitude that Samuella and Lisa had. So 5 stars for the individuals that I dealt with in the deal but everyone else not so much. I'd love to be able to write a positive review of DARCARS Lanham KIA, especially after they've built such a fancy new dropoff area and cozy waiting room, and created a dedicated KIA maintenance shop. But they are 0-3 in service visits for our family KIAs, and sadly 2 of those difficult service calls were simply for oil changes (albeit $62 oil changes!). During one oil change visit, they got preoccupied with a recall and forgot the oil change (yet not the billing for the oil change!); had to bring it back, lost hours from work, major inconvenience, they said they're sorry.... Another oil change left the car dripping oil all over the driveway for a week before we noticed (why should I be expecting my new oil filter to leak?). And the 3rd failure they left a shim loose after a simple (yet $$$) brake pad job, which sounded and felt like a much worse error at high speed. Again, hours lost from work, major convenience, they fixed it and said they're sorry... So unless you're excited about spending inordinate amounts of time in their beautiful new waiting room, hoping they'll get your simple, costly repairs done right the first (...or maybe second) time, you might check reviews for another KIA shop... read more

Worst experience dealing with Darcars. We bought our first car(used car) in usa from Darcars. From the time we bought the car, we have been facing one or other issue dealing with this dealership. 1) We got our number plate after 3 months. 2) They took the processing fee from us and said they would get the state inspection done, and we got it without PA state inspection, we got it done few days back (we bought the car in mid march 2015) because we didnt have the registration with us. 3) I was experiencing vibration so i got the tires checked by mechanic, he told tires are chopped (probably tires need to be rotated on timely basis which looks like hasnt happen, i drove this car for less than 500 miles)..now to fix that tires need to be replaced.this is the fault of dealership because sales guy said everything is perfect. i was not able to get it checked earlier since i didnt have the car registration. 4) They never respond to calls and are always rude. This time again I called them to find out about the problem with tires, they said sales guy will respond to that. he never responded back. I asked about warranty information of the car since it is still under warranty, they couldnt provide any reference document. 5) Not only this,they got us financed with costliest bank and insurance and we had to refinanced them with other bank.. Basically we bought a car from a dealer thinking that dealer will make things smooth for us, we dont need to take any hassels about anything since we are paying more compare to buy from owner, but it turned out to be just opposite. It has been continuous hassel since then, be it dealing with auto loan bank which they recommended or dealers themselves for any issues. Darcars Ford of Lanham is the WORST!!!!!!!!! Excatly 6 months ago I bought a 2011 Kia Optima and the shift lock has locked up on me, bumper fell off, kia sign fell off, and enginge went out. The CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE LET ME REPEAT HORRIBLE! They do an extremly bad job at getting back to you and returning phone calls. They were so triflin that they tired to refuse to detail my car when I first bought it. Darcar ford of Lanham makes every excuse not fix my car mind you I have a extended warranty. This is only half of my experience not to mention the car fax report says the car only been in ZERO accidents my lawyer was able to find out that was FALSE its been in 2 accidents. At the behest of Geico I took my car here for repairs to damage to front end caused by a flying tire tread on the internet. The job they did was good, but when I got the vehicle home I discovered a wireless speaker I stored under the seat was missing. Since I don't have bluetooth on my dash I use the speaker to listen to audiobooks from my phone. The speaker cost $130. I didn't have a chance to adequately remove all items of value because upon my arrival I was bum rushed the Geico attendant, the DarCars attendant, and the Enterprise rental clerk. I was dealing with all three at the same time. I felt harried and overlook the matter of speaker stored under my seat. So it appears they have a thief working in the body shop. So Caveat Emptor do not expect honorable employees, and don't expect the management to deal with their less than honorable staff. read more

I brought our used car in to be serviced in November 2017, they said it needed a new clutch and synchro rings. They replaced those parts with a 2 year warranty. Now 4 months later the same 2 parts are failing. I bring the car back and they tell me it is due to aggressive driving and they aren't going to cover those same parts they replaced. I spoke with all the supervisors and the GM and they all have a different story, they want me to pay $1500 to pick up an UNFIXED car - that is just the price to look at it and put it back together. The Supervisors are nasty people, they wont even compromise a penny on that price. I wouldn't have them replace the parts again since they did it once and they failed and now will not cover it. Are you kidding me- they are crooks and liars. One tells me $700, then it went to $900 and now its at $1257. DO NOT go to DAR CARS in Lanham. They sound nice on the phone and try to make it that they want happy customers but then text me nasty things, which I have the texts. Alex the GM has no time to deal with this, Kevin The director is just stern and a liar and Jason the assistant service supervisor who was very nice and wasn't going to charge me to put the car back together turned out to be a liar. I am sure Kevin told him not to speak to me after I gave him words. This will not stop until I receive some compensation for what I paid for NOTHING. read more

We came in here to purchase the new 2012 Kia Optima with sales person Kwami. As part of our deal I told him that we wanted to get 2 free oil changes since we were paying over our budget for the car. He stated he had to ask his manager, in which he approved. I told him before we left that we needed something in writing stating that they would provide us 2 free oil changes, but he told me, "I'll take care of it and put it in our system." I told him again that I wanted it in writing and he stated that he would "take care of it." We go in for our first oil change, and nothing in the system said that we were provided with 2 free oil changes. We paid the ridiculous $50 oil service charge and I called and asked to speak to Kwami, in which he was "unavailable" and then asked to speak with a manager (I was not present at the dealership when the car was taken in for the oil change). The manager stated that they would have put it in writing if we were offered 2 free oil changes. I explained to him my situation and told him to tell Kwami to call me, yet he has not returned my phone call for 4 days! It's not merely the fact that we had to pay $50 for the oil change, it's the fact that he LIED to me. I don't do business with people who lie! They have lost my business, and never will I refer this company to my friends and family or to the local community. Ridiculous service everytime i come. .i tried and tried to give the benefit of doubt. Each time I come there to have my car serviced for an oil change it takes more that three hours to be completed. I am pretty sure that I can go to another Darcars with the maintenance package I have.and have the task completed for a shorter time frame.. They never do provide me with the level of service that is expected and more importantly deserve when doing business with them My thing is if the customer is telling you that an appointment was made and ur telling yoyr customer that you might not get your vehicle serviced something is seriously wrong with that picture. Over the years I have bought two trucks from the DARCARS Lanham Kia. Purchasing my last truck was a great experience I had a great salesman and got a great deal and a service plan. If I would have known the service would be this BAD I would have went somewhere else to purchase my truck. First- whenever you go into the service bay none of the service managers will give you eye contact or greet you, you have to walk up to one of the rude people and request assistance the most rude is a service manager named Joyce and the most incompetent is a manager named Mohammad. They have lost my truck on two different occasions and actually told me that I never brought it in. They have tried to charge me every time when I have a service plan. They are the rudest group of people that I have ever encountered in a customer service environment. I asked for a manager and no one could produce one then after about 10 minutes the most incompetent Mohammad produced his managers card and said he wont be back until that Monday. I was going to have a talk with the manager but I figure that if they are that rude and that INCOMPETENT then he must be the same way. I will never purchase another vehicle from DARCARS Lanham KIA and I will go elsewhere for my service to my Truck. read more

My wife and I went to Darcars to look at the Ford Flex. When we first pulled up in the parking lot, I noticed the salespeople standing around at the front window watching us like a pack of hungry wolves. Not a good start. Our sales person immediately pounced on us when we walked in the door. Didn't introduce himself or offer a handshake to either me or my wife. Asked us what kind of car we were looking for and when we told him the Ford Flex he proceeded to show us a 2013 they were trying to unload without asking us any questions about features we wanted. When I asked about a specific car I saw on their website, he brought us out to a different one and it was up to me to find the one we came to look at. He didn't seem to know much about the different packages and had to check the window sticker over and over whenever I had a question. When I finally found the car I had seen online, the window sticker didn't match up. I had the window sticker for the car printed out with me (from Ford's website) and Darcars was jacking up the prices for equipment groups and base price on the window sticker and passing it off as Ford's prices. When I asked about the price discrepancy and showed him the real window sticker from Ford, he made up a BS line about Ford's pricing having changed since I printed it (the night before). He then said and I quote "Let's go inside and dissect the price. I'm cold!" That's when my wife and I decided to leave. It's their loss. I bought the exact same car that same afternoon from Koons in Silver Spring where I had an excellent experience. Had the customer service been better, they would have had a sale. Bottom line, dishonest business practices with the doctored window sticker should be a big red flag that you'll be screwed every step of the way with these guys. I unfortunately bought my new F150 from this dealership. I was picked up at the airport which is ten minutes away to see my truck as I flew in with my wife. We were rushed to buy this vehicle when we got to the store as Mike Robinson never offered a test drive and proceeded to his office to start paperwork. We got to the price and noticed it was $2000 higher than quoted by another manager Constantine. We went round and round and they convinced me that I was wrong as I felt pressured because we had a 8 hour ride ahead of us for a family reunion. I did finally say that I want more time to look at the truck. Good thing because I requested a liner to be installed in which nobody thought it was important to inspect the work. There was adhesive all over the bed of the truck which took additional time to remove. Not to mention the dent and scratch on the passenger side of my 2015 F150 brand new truck! The truck was also missing a tow bar and back up camera that Constantine forgot to check for options. I reluctantly took the truck after an exhausting and very unprofessional experience. In retrospect we should of gone back to the airport and flown to our destination instead of taking the truck. What should of been an hour took 3.5 hours which also dumped us into Friday night traffic. Also Mr. Robinson didn't like my honesty on the Ford survey and decided not to send my tags to my house until I demanded they be sent. I recently took my Expedition to get a leaking brake line fixed. I picked this dealership because I purchased the vehicle there and thought that they would give me great service as a repeat customer. That was my first mistake. They fixed the brake line after the second attempt however they broke my driver seat. Before taking it there, the seat was fine and now I get movement and a strange sound. I called the dealership immediately to get this resolved by speaking to the service manager. He acknowledged the sound as well as the fact that the broken seat happened there, however he said that they would not fix the problem because the seat had "previous wear". The manager had a very confrontational manner as if he is accustomed to intimidating customers, this helped to irritate me even more. Let me make sure to mention that this is a 2005 Expedition with no problems at all... before going there. I was also told that just because something happened to your vehicle there.. it does not mean that they are obligated to fix it. The manager did tell me that I could spend approximately $795 for them to fix the seat ( that they broke). I will be reporting this to the BBB in hopes that it helps someone else from making the same mistake. read more

My husband recently went in because of a very attractive price on a Ford Focus. He was greeted by a young salesman who was very professional. After a test drive he decided to come back to see what our car would be worth on trade in. He was told by the floor manager that cars typically get in the range of the good Kelly Blue Book value. This was not the case. The trade-in came back less than the fair value for the car which was in good condition. My husband explained the monthly payment and debt perimeters he was looking to stay within and was willing to compromise on the poor trade-in value if the financing and incentives could met his conditions. They began to run the numbers. My husband has excellent credit and it looked as if everything would work out. Long story short the deal kept changing the longer he was there. The floor manager got involved and quoted a rate in the 2% range only to go down to financing to find that this would not be possible because the incentives required the use of Ford financing that came back above 5%. The floor manager was very professional and apologetic. Then the GM got involved and attempted a hard sell. He was unfriendly, pushy, insulting, and rude. After almost an hour of my husband being polite, expressing appreciation for their time, and asking for they keys to our car numerous times, the GM continued to haggle. As my husband was about to walk out the door the GM asks if he might change his mind if he could promise financing in the 2% range. By this time the deal had gone sour because of how poorly my husband had been treated by the GM. My husband thankfully walked away from this deal after investing hours that ended up being time well wasted. All they needed to do was be upfront and say that they could not meet his requirements and let him walk away. Beware of high volume dealers, especially when dealing with this particular GM. Customer service and respect were far behind the priority of making a sale. Run, don't walk, away from dealing with the GM at all costs. He has no understanding of making lasting business relationships based on trust and mutual respect. read more

Had my 2012 Kia Optima towed into Lanham Kia dealership on 07/08/15 around 6pm, vehicle had no power and would not start. It took Lanham Kia 2 days to inform me that I had a dead battery (cost $245.00, could have purchased and installed myself for half the price if I had known the issue). This location has MAJOR issues with answering the phones in the service department, poor customer service and defensive about the fact that they only have 1 or 2 Kia technicians which is why they are ALWAYs backed up. Was informed that they serviced my ECU per the recall only to find out on 07/14/15 that several buttons on my steering wheel do not work as a result of whatever was performed on my vehicle. Spoke with Service Mgr J----- on 07/14 and informed that it would take 2 WEEKS before they could look at my car. Had the nerve to state that since my car was brought in without power and not brought from Lanham Kia, the non-functioning buttons was my issue. Could not believe the lack of customer service "she" exhibited! Very defensive, the old retail saying that "the customer is always right" does not apply for Lanham Kia. In hindsight, I will check my fuses with hopes that I can resolve the issue with the button controls on my steering wheel and if not, the car goes to Laurel Kia as I will NEVER patronize this place (can't call it a business) ever again. Folks be warned, this review follows a long list of one star reviews, save yourself the headache (and escalated expense) and take you vehicle to another dealership if possible. read more

On October 24, 2011 we took our vehicle into DARCARS, Lanham for diagnostic. Was told that we needed a fuel pump. Asked for a price on a new fuel pump and was told it would cost $576 plus labor. We then telephoned the DARCARS Lanham Parts Department and other Ford dealership for a price check and was told that the fuel pump cost $500.92. After bring the overcharge to the attention of the Service Adviser DARCARS Lanham reluctantly agreed with the price quoted by its Parts Department. When we picked our car up the following day we noticed a dent on the front passenger fender and a few other scratches. It seems that the scratches may have occurred either as a result of DARCARS' car wash or by a disgruntle employee. The dent was not there when the car went in for repair. We know because we had done some compounding and touch-up work in that location and would not have missed such damage. The service manager indicated that because there were other dents on the vehicle one more dent did not matter. We thought that these comments were very unprofessional and uncomplimentary. Based on our experience we strongly recommend that before dealing with DARCARS Lanham think twice about the consequences and buyer be ware by being prepared. Contact other dealers for pricing information. We did not find the DARCARS Lanham staff professional, helpful, and friendly towards us as customers. Additionally, the waiting room and toilets are outdated and below average. read more

Other than the dealer that I dealt with (Alonzo), this was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. The finance team is full of incompetent liars who care nothing about the well being of the customer. I purchased 2016 Kia Sorento from this dealership and traded in my old car on December 11, 2015. The payoff for my trade has still not been paid off. The finance team actually lied to me and told me that the check was sent out on January 11, 2016 but when I called the previous bank to see if they received it today (January 20, 2016) they said they had not received it. I called Darcar's accounting office to see what was going on and was told it was being send out today! When has it ever taken so long to get a check out and why was I lied to? In addition, I told Chico, who is one of the finance members, not to use my maiden name because it wasn't my legal name and he did it anyway. This caused issues with the bank and two weeks after I purchased the vehicle, I was called back in by him to provide my social security card. He made a copy of that, my passport, and military ID. Even after that, the payoff was still not sent. When I called to inquire what was going on, I was constantly placed on hold, told I would get a call back, and was never called back. I had to keep calling back to see what was going on. I finally got fed up and contacted the finance manager, Romaine. It was pointless to talk to him because he acted as if he had no concern for what was happening. I spoke to him and he said he would take care of it and call me back but of course, that never happened. You cannot be in a management role if your main focus isn't the customer. He should find another job if he's not concerned about the issues of his customers, especially when the customer's credit is at stake (the bank has threated to report late payment to the credit bureaus even though I have not been in possession of the car for over a month). He's pretty much useless and a liability to this company. There is a huge lack of transparency at this dealership and if there's one thing I hate, it's being lied to. I will warn all friends and family about going here and I will never do business with this dealership again. Please believe I will let Kia know what kind of company they have selling their vehicles. read more
