AWESOME SERVICE, Quick story so I have a dog that I do not like to bring to groomers because she does not play well with other animals. Her nails were getting really long and me and my wife were struggling to cut them on our home. Through doing some research we found these guys and that was the best thing that could happen! At first I was still a little skeptical about how these mobile companies were and decided if we were going to do it then lets do the best of the best so that's how we found them. It started with calling in to hear a little about the company and the customer service is outstanding. It was incredible how helpful and understanding they were to my situation. There was no stress put on the dog no muzzle (being she is a pit they usually do), fighting with her, nothing it was all very professional. The owners/employees of the company are definitely people who care about the animals and are not just a big operation that is collecting your money and just simply not caring. I would NEVER take my dog to another company to get groomed they do a top notch job and make it really stress free for her. The company is big enough to serve but small enough to care and definitely puts there all into it. This is what they do everyday not a part time thing which is also amazing. In my situation my dog does not need haircuts just cleaning and nails but the smallest package offers all 3 so I just pay it and don't get the haircut because of how awesome the service is... Even though it costs much more then going to a vet and getting nails and cleaning or wherever.... the service speaks for itself and you definitely can see that. They make sure your dog is treated like there own and make sure it is a stress free experience. My dog hates getting her nails clipped and let Emily do it with ease she got off the truck so happy and had no issues! I wanted to give this service 5 stars. I really did. My groomer, Ariella, is FANTASTIC. On time, thorough, pleasant, excellent with my shih tzu, the van was clean, a wonderful experience overall. But, geez, the pricing! It's more than DOUBLE what I've been paying elsewhere. I understand there's a convenience with a mobile groomer, but $170 instead of $70? For that kind of money, I'll be inconvenienced. read more

My seven year old pomsky, Chloe, has bad anxiety and it's very difficult to get her in the car and take her to groomers. I called The Ruff Life and they sent Jamie to pamper Chloe. Best thing I ever did!! Not only is Chloe extremely relaxed with her, she actually loves her! Chloe has bad allergies and the vet has her on allergy medication. Since she has been getting groomed with Jamie her skin has been much clearer and a lot less itchy. Besides being an excellent groomer, Jamie is also an amazing person. She truly cares and is very helpful, thoughtful and compassionate. She not only discussed food with me for Chloe, She texted me info on the allergy medication and a vet after her visit with Chloe. Today was my first experience with The Ruff Life Mobile Grooming and I am hooked! Booking the appointment was super convenient and flexible. I have had an absolute horrific experience in the past and I was petrified this time around with my 7 month old Goldendoodle and his first experience. I was greeted by Masha at my appointment who was super lovely. Right off the bat I realized she was super kind, genuine and I felt comfortable with her. She reassured me of my concerns and I felt at ease. The haircut was absolutely perfect and my puppy looks amazing. My little one, Nunzio, is literally the love of my life! He is treated better than most people treat their child. Finding someone who I trusted wasn't easy. I used to drop him off at the groomer and he would shake like crazy. He isn't used to being in a cage so going there made him very nervous. On top of that, some places keep them there all day!!!!! The last straw for me was when he got kennel cough from one of the places. At 13 years old, it took a lot for his little body to recover. That's when I started looking for mobile groomers and I found The Ruff Life. I can't tell you how much I love Vanessa and her team. Not only do they do a wonderful job grooming him, but they love him too, which for me is the most important thing! They do exactly what I ask in terms of grooming and are very careful doing it since he's an older dog. In addition, they do it rather quickly! He's not there for 8 hours like most grooming places and he's never in a cage. Nunzio is never nervous with them and is always excited to see them so I know he's being treated well. First off let me say this is the only groomer that my dog LOVES!!!!! VANESSA IS AMAZING with Tyson. All I have to do is say her name the day of his grooming and he goes absolutely wild and sits by the door. We have never had this experience with any other groomer. We used to use another establishment and when we went to pick Tyson up he looked so depressed and wouldn't be active. This is my first time using a service such as this. My dog is a senior dog, who is arthritic and unfortunately has intestinal cancer. Getting her out and about is quite difficult, simply due to lack of mobility and her being a very nervous dog.. she stresses A LOT. I looked into several mobile dog grooming services and decided on The Ruff Life. I'm glad I did. From my first conversation with Chris, to the actual appt/service done by Emily, it was great. Very pleasant and professional. The vehicle is quite impressive and caters to senior dogs. My dog looks (and smells) wonderful! First of all I would like to say that my dog is not only is skinned , but she is TRAMATIZED!!! We had to go with a new groomer because we moved, my dog has always been groomed every 5 weeks and we never had a problem.She is a very outgoing happy and adapts to people and pleasant.They arrived I told the assistant what I wanted done showed her pics and she took her in . The groomer that I picked on line never even came out to meet me being it was our first time which would've been the right thing to do being as they claim they are so professional . A few minutes later the assistant came out and said she was matted underneath and it would be uncomfortable to groom her they suggested to go shorter.I told her I bathe her brush her and that she was ABSOLUTELY a dog that was well kept! A little longer thanusual but not that over grown. She assured me it was best and wouldn't be that short . When she came out I was in SHOCK besides being skinned she was wet and shaking she said she didn't take well to the blower when she gets that done all the time .I can't tell you how upset we are not just about the hair because that will grow back.But unfortunately it is 3 days later and our dog is still shaking (we bought her a sweater to wear not helping) not eating very skiddish and DEFINITELY not the same fun loving dog that went into that van! We should've looked closer into the reviews because if you do there are DOZENS of 1 star saying the same thing that their dogs were SKINNED ! I'm telling you in advance RUFF LIFE DO NOT respond by telling me that I should of took better care of my dog and this wouldn't of happened like I saw you did in other negative reviews because that DEFINITELY was not he case ! Used them or tried to use them a few times. Groomer was good the one time they actually showed up when they were supposed to. this negative review is not about the groomers. But about their awful client service and awful business practice. They are a pain in the neck to work with. They routinely change the appointment times without asking, they show ZERO respect for the value of YOUR time as if they have unfettered flexibility to juggle you around to suit their needs. Julie and her assistant Lexi groomed my 1 year old Maltipoo for the first time. They were absolutely wonderful and he looks gorgeous!!! I couldn't be happier. The convenience of having this done in front of my home in under an hour is amazing. No more leaving my dog in the stressful environment of a regular groomer with barking dogs for hours on end. I have been using Ruff Life for about 2 years now. Love having them come to the house because my rescue dog has such severe anxiety that he can not be around other animals. Arielle has been so wonderful with him. He hates having his nails clipped and she has such patience. Arielle is always punctual and even early sometimes. RuffLife does a decent job - until you have an issue. Though their appointments often get rebooked on you with no notice, and they are always running late. Anyway, we encountered a much larger issue - we scheduled our regular bathe and trim for our dog, and they returned her to us having only bathed her, claiming they didn't have time to give her a cut too. Apparently, their scheduler didn't book the usual 1 hour 15 minutes. But they also returned her very early, so they didn't even use the time they had to do what they could, or discuss with us what might be possible during the window, or a plan to come back and finish the job. We tried calling, but they would not return to give her the cut we had originally scheduled and paid for, unless we paid for a whole separate grooming appointment again. The manager refuses to speak with clients who need assistance and the office manager was clueless and unable to help. The groomer, Charlie, also did not take any accountability for trying to help come back to finish the job he never completed. After a few initial discussions and promises to get back to me, no one at the company is returning my calls or emails. This is no way to run a business - if a client pays for a service, you should complete it without requiring them to pay twice. And ghosting them is equally irresponsible. We will not be patronizing this business again and I will not recommend them to anyone either. They are clearly trying to expand their business but do not care at all for their existing clients, since we have been good and loyal customers to this point. They claim they respond to every customer but this is not true. I think this whole misunderstanding arose from an issue around scheduling (their scheduler has apparently been out on leave, leaving them shortstaffed) or their new app, but they will not discuss it or take any responsibility; only responding to this review since it is public, blaming me and throwing accusations around. It's clear they could have handled this issue much better; I will leave it to you to see how this business treats their customers. read more

The Ruff Life was the first time we used mobile grooming & they were wonderful from start to finish. Their website is easy to use & get pricing for compared to other mobile grooming companies. I have a tight schedule like I'm sure everyone else does & they were so good at communicating with me to help set the appointment. We had Brooke come to the house & she was awesome from start to finish. Brooke showed us around the truck before she even got started so we knew what to expect. I have to say the Ruff Life did a great job on our dog. Unfortunately with most groomers closed due to Covid, Ruff was one of that we could get an appointment. Lauren came to our home, took the dog and an hour and a half later, it was a big transformation. The van that was used was new, clean and looked to be well equipped.
