This is the 2nd time I've gone to Dapper Don's. It's an old-school barber decor with about 5 or 6 chairs. I think the guy in chair 1 is the owner. If so, he has done an amazing job of creating this positive vibe...the barber's are friendly and they can cut all types of hair. Alan, the young guy who cut my hair, nailed it once again. I'm a bit of a pain, and my hair is colicky and not easy to cut. He dives in with confidence and skill, all the while talking about what he's looking forward to and what's right with life instead what's wrong. This may seem like a little thing, but man, it's not. Chair 1 seems to know this, and I totally felt it. Great haircut, decent price, but more...good people who make going there something that would make me write a review on here. I always go with seena Hobson but she was booked this day and I had to settle for what's open and she knows how to cut hair I always ask her for an undercut and she make it perfect the way I ask for. As for now Luciano needs to get retrained cause he fucked my whole flow and didn't fade out my undercut on the sides and the vibe was fucked too quiet and just distracted. read more

I've tried this barbershop 3 times and this recent trip got me stunned. First time I came it was a 10/10 experience. My guy Ryan was new but respectful and insightful, shame he's not there anymore. Second guy was 20 minutes late and that's All I'm gonna say on the matter. This recent visit I got Kevin and this man is a fuckin white wizard. Great place for a haircut. I'm welcomed by all the barbers when I walk in. Angel, the owner, is an excellent barber. He always remembers how I like my hair cut and takes the time to make sure I am happy with the results. They also do great with kids, my squirming 2-year always looks great when we are done. Not convenient to my home but I'm willing to drive for the quality. Only 4 stars to keep them hungry. read more

I woke up this Sunday morning thinking, I really need a haircut. So I jumped on yelp and I look for open barbershops in the number one result was damper done. I called in just to doublecheck if they except card, and I was advised to bring cash because the card machine was not working today. Totally cool. I stopped by the bank, grab some cash, and headed to the shop. The wait wasn't long, maybe 15-20 minutes. It's a hot day today, 100 degrees out, and the shop was being kept very cold. I was met with a huge gust of cold air when I walked in. The barber who cut my hair was Adrian. Cool dude, great cut and great conversation. The cut was $20. I enjoyed my time here and I think I will definitely return in the future for another haircut. I reccommend this barber shop for anyone, they are kid friendly too. read more

So my barber is closed for the week and I have a job interview and I needed a cut badly which is why I went somewhere else and let's just say you're probably better off going to Great Clips because it's cheaper ($12 instead of $20) and they may do a better job. read more

I was new to the Tempe/Mill area and recently was relocated to this part of town. My previous Barber was by Metro Center which I was able to visit on my lunch hour. Well like most people I started to do my research and looking for a new place to get my haircut. One day I saw someone post on FB about Dapper Dons and lo and behold it was right around the corner from my job. I went after work to give me plenty of time in case there was a wait. I was greeted by all the barbers which was a welcome feeling! When I sat down I asked how many people ahead of me they said there was only two so I was in luck. Angel (the owner) called me up when my turn and began to ask me how I would like my cut and started his magic. He did a great Job and the price was decent. I told him how I usually went during lunch hours and he told me I could make an appointment for following week. Needless to say he has earned a new customer. Never understood why a place states that walk ins are welcome but does everything possible to discourage them. If it's by appointment only then by all means just state that. Went here early on a Saturday to see a barber inside cutting hair before the opening time of 9AM. Waited outside for about 45 minutes until the sign was changed to 'Open'. When I walked inside, the barber immediately told me 'I saw you waiting outside and was going to tell you to come inside but I didn't.' Figuring that maybe he was just busy that day I thought nothing of it and sat down to wait. Female barber informed me she was going to be busy with appointments but that someone would be in eventually to take me. I then hear the original male barber get a phone call which was the barber I was waiting for calling in stating he was going to be late. Decided it wasn't worth the hassle and left to find another place. I can't speak to the haircut quality of this place because it appeared it would be a long time to actually get one despite the shop being empty beyond one person in a chair. The customer service however, could do with some improvement - I understand that barber shops often tend to be business relationships formed between the client and barber that last for a long time but there appeared to no interest of that here for somebody new. read more
