My appointment was lost in their terrible online system so when I showed up, despite receiving confirmation texts that day, the assigned barber was unavailable. I was stuck with an older guy that kept talking about his last salon and how many of his customers he brought over. He spent quite a bit of time responding to texts and very little time on my hair. He asked me if I wanted my hair washed, I said yes but he didn't hear me bc he was back on his phone. So he sloppily put some product in my hair and forgot to trim my neckline or even out the sides. The whole haircut took 15 minutes since he rushed through the whole thing, and most of that time was spent on his phone or talking about his past life in California. They don't even have someone to answer their phone so there was no one to complain to. Awful experience and I've since moved to a different barber. read more

I have been going here for a few months now and have gotten great haircuts each time. My go to barber is Jovani. He takes the time to know exactly what you want and talks you through it as well. The other thing I like is that he will give great recommendations based on your hair type, head shape, etc. I show him pictures of what I want, and he recreates it perfectly. I have also gotten a cut by Kekoa, when Jovani was unavailable. He is also a great barber and is meticulous about making sure your haircut looks perfect. Kekoa and I had a pretty awesome conversation about audio production while I was in the chair and quickly connected which is the first impression I was left with. Let me tell you though, this guy is a perfectionist when it comes to the art of his craft. He did exactly what I wanted and I was late to my brunch reservation and NOT EVEN MAD! This guy has skills. I have to put my two cents in because of the two poor reviews written here. I think the issue with the two gentlemen who wrote poor reviews and I think all of Plano/Frisco "North Dallas, but not Dallas-" area is that they are so use to CRAP haircuts that they don't understand what a real barbershop does. So maybe the ladies (sorry don't mean to be sexist, but...) at Finley's or Floyd's or 18/8 or Roosters, will give you exactly what you want... a "4" all the way around? A buzz cut? Just a trim? Then you should stick with them because Dapper will give you a full on legit cut. Sure, they'll give you what you ask for, but they'll go above and beyond and square your edges, or give you a neck shave. The barbers will go above and beyond to make you look fresh, modern and sleek. I think it's time for Frisco/Plano to get a little urban. Basically... THIS AIN'T YO DADDY'S FANTASITC SAMS HAIRCUT $8.00 PLUS A FREE MOUSSE SAMPLE. Are the prices steep? In comparison to their competition they're the same. If you wanna nice fade for cheap, I know a few places in the hood, and a few garage doors that might be open. Too me, getting my hair cut is my "spa" time. It's my pamper, relaxation, as much as a dude can get.. so 35 dollars for a clean fade, nice shampoo is worth it. In conclusion, Dapper is a great place if you want a legit cut. Barbers are nice and take their time to make you look fleek, atmosphere is laid back, place is clean and modern. Give them a try! read more

Came here a few days ago for a walk in appointment and got a chair with Jovani. I had a really good experience in the barber shop and with Jovani. The shop is really big and upscale and kept really clean. They serve water and beer and a TV to watch with comfortable chairs while you're waiting on your appointment. Jovani took good care of me. He took his time and made sure I was happy with my cut and beard trim. I didn't ask him to do anything too crazy but he cleaned me up and did a good job. read more

I showed him some pictures of how I wanted my hair to look like and the end result was identical. He even ended me off with a hot lather shave, shampoo, and warm towel. I spent the last 15 years going to Floyd's. It was easy, convenient and familiar. That said, I was really feeling like I had outgrown them. I have been looking for a new home and tried several places that I wont name, but they all have a subscription model and brag about the experience. All of them disappointed me. My friend Nick recommended I connect with Joey M. from Dapper and I'm really glad I took the advice. The atmosphere is casual, but really well done with an upscale feel that isn't trying to hard. The last place I went messed up my beard and when I went back the next day, they messed it up even more. Thankfully JOEY IS THE MAN. Hooked up a great haircut and fixed the beard. Great experience! I was in need of a haircut and was tired of the chain I had been going to. Dapper Barber & Co Plano was up the road, so I did an online check-in. The website said there currently was not a wait. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the other barbers and told someone would be with me shortly. They yelled out a name and with in a minute I was greeted by my barber. He introduced himself, Joey, then I sat in the chair. Man, it was great...the haircut, the conversation and the atmosphere. If you are still looking for a place to cut your hair and you're tired of dealing with inconsistent cheap cuts; invest in yourself and try this place out. If you're having a tough time on what look you can go for, they will discuss it with you; even better if you have a picture of the look you want. It's a really neat place; industrial, vintage, a lot of space and the service is good. The cut comes with a straight razor finish and wash; don't even have to ask. It's not expensive but it's not cheap either. If you think hairstyling is an afterthought, you are going to look like an afterthought. If you pay cheap, you're gonna look cheap. My father always told me to never pay for a cheap cut; they're not the same. Randy has been cutting my hair for almost two years now.
