Half ass service. Lazy dancers. What ever you do don't go there before sundown it'll be a waist of time.

I seemed like a pretty good club in Lafayette. I stopped in a little right before they closed. Definitely will be visiting again.

308 is one of those places that has grown on me the more I go. A newer entry to the Purdue bar…read morescene, 308 is deceptively large and modern inside, with three (four?) distinct areas. The basement has a nightclub vibe, with lots of good EDM/rap music playing throughout the night. It's fairly large, and has good lighting/party effects. There is a bar and bathrooms down here as well. There isn't much seating downstairs as it is more for dancing. The first floor now contains two bars, and has plenty of seating. This is where you'll probably want to be if you want to sit and order some food, while also being in the bar environment. There are usually a decent amount of people on the first floor. The second floor has more of a lounge vibe, with a bar and a ton of seating. There is a beer pong table, and I think they sometimes do karaoke up here. If you just want to sit and chill, without loud music and lots of people, the second floor is where to go. 308 also has food, and I was surprised by how good it is. I have had a couple of their sandwiches, and for a bar, it is pretty darn good. It's not somewhere I would go out of my way to eat at, but it is good. The drink specials are generally pretty good; some notable specials they run are the $1 "you call it" shots, where the bartender just kind of pours whatever they want, and the $4 Titos specials. They have just about every type of liquor imaginable. The bathrooms here are kind of weird, and it can get very backed up when it's busy. The second floor one is particularly bizarre, being a unisex bathroom with a lock that also has multiple urinals/stalls, with no real divider between them. I'm not entirely sure how that one is supposed to operate. Overall though, 308 has become somewhere I go to semi-reguarly, particularly due to its multiple offerings. (Want to dance? Go to the basement. Want to just chill? Second floor. etc.) It's not a bad choice by any means if you're in the Purdue/West Lafayette area.

For the record I only go here for lunch since it is down the street from my office. I have yet to…read morehave a bad meal here. The daily specials are REALLY specials. The double cheeseburger&fries for $6, Taco Tuesday, Rib Wednesday (my FAVORITE - $1 a bone!), and Wing Thursday. Now they have been known to run out of Ribs, and have on occasion not had something available that is on the menu, but that is rare. I have never had any problems with service and the food was always very good. Definitely glad I finally decided to start stopping in. And the ambience! The music that is streaming is absolutely fantastic. 60s-80s serious rock. Reminds me of the old AOR stations from the 70s.

She was being her funny and skinny and calm self, playing some of her songs from her Lost in Space album, which, at this point, is like an appendage of my body in musical form. Her album is a part of me. The Vogue is a small venue, but not extremely so. There is balcony seating, and a bar in the balcony, but you need to pay extra for this area. General admission is downstairs, and it's standing-room only. I know on the website it says that a general admission ticket grants you access to the upstairs, but when I went up there, I was immediately told that the tables were for people who paid extra. I considered paying the extra however-much-it-costs so I could sit down, but I decided to thug it out and found a corner downstairs, on the side by the stairs, to post up. Even though I was standing to the side, I still had a great view! I've seen Aimee Mann in concert one other time (she played at Royce Hall in Los Angeles with Rufus Wainwright, a long time ago), but I had never been this close to her. It was an amazing experience. There's a big bar downstairs, and they were super quick to get me my plastic cup of Moscow mule. FYI: This is not the place to get wine! They have a couple of cans of wine, but nothing in a bottle. They mostly have beer and mixed drinks. Before the concert, I was looking at all of the photos lining the walls of the bands and musicians who have played at The Vogue. It's impressive! This music venue has a long history. Lots of people have played at this humble place in Broad Ripple, which is pretty cool.

My friend and I came here for the Jesse McCartney concert and had a blast…read more The room is spacious but there are no seats at the lower level. It's all standing so you can feel like a can of sardines. They were offering upgrades to the second floor which we happily took. The upstairs is very spacious and has a bar so you don't have to go back downstairs into the crowd. I do like how there is a bar to sit your drinks at the railing so you can sit and have a more relaxed time. I will happily come back to the Vogue

The DJ is great and gets the crowd dancing. Definitely support your local Drag scene and culture. I wouldn't recommend a vodka cranberry or espresso martini. Overall a good time if you know what to expect.

I've long wanted to check out Gregs, a longtime presence in the LGBTQIA+ community since its…read morebeginning back in the early 1980s. It began life as one-room bar called Wawase. On July 1, 1980, new owners Bill Brown and Dean Gardner opened it up as Our Place - affectionately known as O.P.'s. It was Indy's first levi/leather bar. It was around 1990 that the dance floor was put in, though by this time I believe Dean had passed away and Bill sold the place to Phil Denton and Greg Powers in 1992. After Phil and Greg took over, O.P.'s became known for its philanthropy and passionate support of the city's LGBTQIA+ community. In 2002, Greg passed away and Phil renamed the bar in his honor. Gregs was born and his legacy continues. While I find the parking around here a little more difficult than at someplace like Metro, Gregs is FAR more wheelchair friendly than Metro. There's no comparison. (Both are weak in terms of accessible bathrooms). Gregs hosts drag shows on a regular basis. Gregs hosts card tournaments, gear-friendly events, dance events, and much more. The prices are pretty decent. The employees were friendly. The clientele seems mostly cool (there are always exceptions, but I felt welcome here). While I do think Gregs is more accessible, it's worth noting that when it's crowded the layout doesn't really lean toward accessibility. As someone who tends to avoid larger events, I'm generally fine with going during an off-time. I enjoyed my visit here. I'd always wanted to visit. This is probably more of a 3.5 for me, however, I'm skewing upward due to the good prices, better accessibility, and overall friendliness of employees. While I may not rush back, there's no doubt I'll return.

Fun music, great drink specials, great place to dance, and somehow I skipped the whole line (still not sure how considering at that moment I was a lone guy going in to meet a DJ but hadn't name dropped yet) Would I come back? definitely. but I would also agree with other reviewers that this is a place to END the night (i.e. after most people start turning into pumpkins), not to start it.

I admire her work. Theon Lee left me still talking about his pieces now. They featured an open mic part of the night which was tolerable. There were a few artists I enjoyed. One man who's name I cannot recall left me w a few questions. Overall no complaints about the featured artists. They were dope. Now the set up. Casba You know you only have 3 tables. You didn't do us any favors by moving the chairs to other side of the bar. Like there were far too many people standing and shifting from foot to foot bc they had nowhere to stand. I get it if it is more for your vibe, but it was annoying. I saw a woman in high heels leaning on the way to stand up. There was a larger woman going side to side to be comfortable. My woman who has knee issues complained about the pressure she felt bc she had to stand for close to 2 hrs. Like the public shouldn't have to be uncomfortable to fit your vibe. I'd only ask in the future for a few more chairs.
