This place is terrible, they market exclusively to underage kids!!!! and they don't even get business. They are definitely going to go bankrupt if they don't let their target audience in and keep charging covers on a Friday night when they have 15 people in attendance. DO NOT come here. read more

They gave my credit card to someone else and then told me I "must have dropped it" even though I still had not been handed back a card. Staff is incompetent and unhelpful read more

If you are 24 then you are too old for this place. The kids seem to like it though. Cheap drinks. Friendly staff. Dancing. Lots of dancing.

BEWARE! deserves a 0. Staff ruffied our group of 7, one ended up in the ER. None of us could remember what happened. Staff did nothing to help. Apparently Purdue university warns their students about this place, complaints come around 10 a month. DIRTBAGS AND HORRIBLE PEOPLE! karma! read more

Horrible!!!!! The bouncers are so disrespectful to people and call them names. This is how you treat your customers? They are just unnecessarily rude!!! This place is not clean, has HORRIBLE service and the drinks are nothing special! Would recommend pretty much any other bar but this one on campus. read more

Fun environment. A dance club. Super crowded naturally. The bouncers are violent, aggressive though. So it's a bit more dangerous but it's a fun place to party and drink. There was a big group of cops just sitting around outside waiting for some sort of trouble to occur. read more

I was just hit in the back with a trash can full of ice. To go along with this poor experience, I was then kicked out for not moving out of the way. Im sober driving for my group of friends and I'm confused about what just happened. Please train your staff more. I get removing drunk people but I'm standing there stone cold sober and get hit/removed from the bar. I would not recommend this place to anyone visiting. My group ended up leaving entirely and headed for brothers. I'm not sure why the staff is so eager to kick people out but I am left with questions. read more

This is definitely not my first choice or second choice for a place to hang out. Whereelse is very much a place you end up. If you find yourself toward the end of the night asking, "Where else should we go?" Then you've already found your answer. Don't expect it to be clean at all. Don't expect the patrons to be at all out together. The staff is hit or miss on providing good service. The drinks are okay and the specials aren't anything to write home about. If you're hammered and it's late at night, I would recommend you stop by Whereelse. The music is usually great, and the dance floor is a complete mess of drunken, wild dancing. Wednesday's are a great night to get there as it opens. They have quarter beers until supplies run out i.e. $5 for a case of beer. read more

It's a dive bar on a college campus. As my third grade teacher would say, "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit." Where Else is loud, crowded and dirty. As a student, it was never my type of scene. But if you love to dance like there's no tomorrow, then this is a pretty good spot for your late night ventures. read more

I absolutely love this place. Atmosphere is incredible. They have the yummy small pebble ice. Big fan

I know I'm not the demographic they are looking for, but I wanted a brief, one drink taste of campus subculture when in town for a football game. I went before the Saturday night crowd and everyone was nice to me. Low end slightly overpriced drinks in plastic cups, but that's what I expected. I've been in dirtier, louder and worse. read more

Where Else is one of those clubs that people go to chill after getting shit-faced at another place in town. Bar hopping galore. I've been here a few times before and I really don't get what makes this place so good. The entire place is filthy, the music fails to energize you into dancing, and everything is cheap cheap cheap. Come here only if you're already drunk, cause this place isn't worth remembering. read more

My friends and I went for St. Patrick's Day. It wasn't busy. Both bartenders were wasted when we got there. There were ten of us. Two of us had our card "lost" by the staff. The bartender's solution, you know, instead of FINDING THEM, was to offer them free drinks for the rest of the night. Sticky floors, a mediocre DJ, and terrible service--go literally anywhere else. Or if you do go here, make sure you pay cash and don't start a tab. read more

This establishment is unwelcoming of African Americans. Black people face extreme scrutiny from bouncers and patrons alike. An incident occurred in which 8 bouncers assaulted me for no apparent reason. I was hanging out with a few friends who had rented out a booth, they had left early and told the remaining group (3 of us) we could stay. A short time after a bouncer singles me out and approaches me telling me to leave. I try to explain the situation and while we're talking I get rushed by 8 bouncers and carried out with no prior warning. What could I have been doing to need 8 bouncers? I was not behaving in a threatening manner simpIy talking. I would not recommend this place to any black patron as you may be subjected to the same treatment. Charges are in the process of being pressed no way should this be allowed to happen. read more

This bar is exactly what you would expect for the Chauncey area: Loud, Crowded, the staff's a little rude and the place is a little dirty...Which Is Exactly Why You Came To Chauncey Square So Shut Up, Get Drunk and Let's Make Some Bad Decisions!!! They open early but sometimes it doesn't pick up until late. Can not beat the prices on Monday night!!! Friday and Saturday it's all about location and this place is right in the middle of it. Sunday through Thursday...are they even open the rest of the week? Who cares! read more

Best club ever!!! Rumor has it there's a hot chic that does a mean Britney Spears chair dance!! Highly recommend!

Where Else is exactly like your ex girlfriend; you talk about how bad she is when you're sober and laugh with friends about how you can't believe you used to date her, but if it's late... and you are single and drunk... you might give her a call, and the next morning you regret everything. Pros: It's next to Taco Bell. The line is so long that you have time to contemplate the choices you made to get here right now, sometimes this alone will help you get out of the line. Cons: Bouncers are very rude Drinks are over priced unless there is a special The floor is really sticky and gross The dance floor is really small for such a big space bartenders are understaffed read more

Been there 2 times. Bouncers were rude ever time. Lost my business just from the rudeness I received there. I would rather pay a couple extra bucks to deal like I'm welcomed in the establishment. read more

Where else is just a piece of shit, staffs and ppl r so rude there and they will let u out because of ridiculous reasons such as pants shirts or hair. read more

This place had a welcoming setting. I'm new to the whole going out to a bar thing and as soon as I walked in you could feel the great atmosphere. Easy to let go here. Friendly staff and nice prices. read more

It's a bar you go to after you are already drunk and say to yourself, "well I'm drunk...I want to be surrounded by other drunk people." The staff is somewhat aggressive, but I don't blame them since almost 80% of the customers are wasted when they arrive. They are pretty strict about the dress code and if you don't look like a student/alumni, they will ask for a student ID. read more

This bar is terrible. Don't go there ever!! I went there once and they didn't even replace my drink. I recieved a flat whiskey and sprite and told them. They preceded to escort me out of the bar because of their mistake! Bottom line is "just don't go there!" They don't care about the customer read more

I went on Monday with my friends who aren't college students to this bar. I was told I couldn't enter because I wasn't a college student. When I informed the bouncer that neither are my friends he just says "they look like they're in college." When my friends realized I wasn't in there they asked the bouncer what happened. They were told that this is their policy. This is blatant discrimination. read more

Best bar on campus great service great prices best atmosphere in town can't wait to return again

This place is the place to go if you are looking for a trashy one night stand. Dirty, loud, and unsafe. Felt like I was grabbed inappropriately multiple times. read more

When it was at it's old location, Where Else was my goto bar. I loved everything about it, even the fact that the floor were often dirty from spilled beer. it was a dive that had no pretenses for being anything else. the staff was nice, the drinks were cheap, the specials were good, and it had a decent crowd even on weekdays. i liked the dance floor and they occasionally played things other than hiphop which was more than most bars with a dancefloor can say. the patrons there were usually nice too in the way that people who go to dive bars typically are. Well Where Else had to go and try for an image change. They moved to it's current location and something got lost in the process. I actually thought the purdue bar scene could use something more club like, which was what Where Else was going for, but something about the new location feels off. The huge lines are a massive turnoff and the environment inside feels sterile and manufactured. it has no character. Also with the new image, the new club feel has attracted much more of the trashy and ghetto townies who dont really make the place feel like a friendly college bar. This is probably an unpopular opinion, but i agree with the purdue ID checking policy that many complain about. The purdue bar scene is incredibly cramped as it is and the last thing they need is broke trashy townies from Lafayette coming over and taking up what little space there is. These are college bars on a college campus, students should come first. All that being said, the staff now isnt too bad, not super nice but not mean either. people are misinterpreting being grossly understaffed for poor service. the drink specials are still good and regular prices arnt terrible. the music is okay and the dance floor while just as small as the last one is now much more cramped from having so many more patrons. my issues are mainly from the environment and patrons. it still feels like a bar thats trying to be something that it's not, and it attracts some of the worst people lafayette has to offer read more

They have well priced drinks and that's where the pros end. It is either dead or so busy that you can barely move around. It's known as a bar that is only fun if you're severely inebriated, which is fine in a college town. What's not okay is how the staff treats its customers. My girlfriend was intentionally touched inappropriately by a bouncer and when she gave him a look of disgust, he replied by telling her "F*** you." Needless to say we will never go back again. read more

I'm not sure why you're on Yelp trying to learn about Where Else. I used to live directly behind this building and can tell you they are turned up the whole college weekend (Thursday-Monday). Get crazy, make bad choices, that read more

The bouncers at where else are so rude. I am an alumni and had 3 forms of ID, and they refused to let me in. This bar is the worst bar at the Purdue campus, and I refuse to go here again. NEVER again. read more
