Gluten free onion rings!!!
Robo T.

I was in the area on business so i decided to try Danvers Pizza and Subs. Husband has celiac and I am lactose intolerant so the menu containing gluten free pizzas, apps, subs and calzones really caught our attention! I had a gluten free pizza with vegan cheese, green pepper and extra sauce. The pizza was good. The crust is great and the vegan cheese they use is good too. My only issue was that there was only a very thin layer of sauce - even with me ordering it with extra sauce. It needed a lot more sauce. The huz got a cheesy crust/stuffed crust style pizza with sausage and pepperoni. After actually not recommending i order this pizza, the guy explained that they take their gluten free calzone dough and use it to make the pizza so they can fold the edge over to contain cheese. It is a different dough/crust than they use for just a regular gluten free pizza. He also stated they did a well-done bake on this dough because it needs it. He also explained that they have separate prep areas for the GF pizzas. We appreciated that they are mindful of this and knowledgeable about their product in this manner. Its funny that I had to talk him into letting me order this pizza. He expressed fear about bad reviews. I explained we are a household used to GF items and its not a problem. Im happy to report that the pizza was very good. He had nothing to worry about with us. Also, when i tell you that the gluten free onion rings were AMAZING, believe me. These were some of the best onion rings ive ever had - gluten free or conventional!! Lastly, I also had a small meatball sub with a regular/conventional roll. This was also good. Overall great menu of conventional and gluten free pizza and subshop items. Gluten free items always cost more so a higher purchase total was expected. The only thing that i would say was unexpectedly pricey was the small conventional meatball sub coming in at $15. That said, loving the wide range of gluten free options and will be back when im in the area again.

Shaved steak, cheese, onion and garlic calzone. Yum!

Ordered take out. Food came quickly. Everything was delicious! I will certainly order from here again.

Their smalls are your sub shops large I passed this spot up so many times and I'm making up time!! Even there gluten batter is so different I eat whatever my gf doesn't eat and her gluten stuff is dry like play-doe but this places GLuten free chicken is Amazing best I've tasted for her search on gf foods. The tomato sauce is so sweet.. You Won't be disappointed and you'll have leftovers.

Gluten free steak and cheese calzone with extra cheese. I have not had a calzone since going gluten free. I said "wow" out loud between every bite. Amazing! Some type of herb crust I think, which I really enjoyed.

Love this small local pizza. Been going for pizza since we moved to North Andover. Both Chanda and John is super friendly.

UM THE HYPE IS REAL PEOPLE. I've been seeing a lot of positive reviews on North Shore Eats, and my man and I decided to give this place a shot to see if the hype was really real tonight. DAMN. This place is the real deal and the hype is real. Chicken fingers tasted like chicken finger crack. Who are you people?! I couldn't put them down. Do ya self a favor and order a large. What tasted like HOMEMADE honey mustard was the perfect touch. Cheese pizza was delish as well. The woman answering phones very nice, I'm assuming she must be one of the owners relating to some of the other reviews. Working in the industry it's nice to see a couple (who is our age) living the food and beverage dream. Support local! Can't wait for our next takeout order. Bravo!

Would give th n a zero of I could. Owner is a unprofessional clown. Should work in a circus. But I doubt he could do that Food is gross. Guys k ng pizza no gloves and blowing her a nose like he has an allergy or cocaine problem. Not sure I received terrible service, terrible delivery, terrible pizza and spoke to management and no resolution has been made. Why do you guys think you can have rude drivers, not getting out of their cars at the right saddreas and deliver pizzas that are subpar, even more than South Park to my house and think you're okay. Disgusting food and disgusting management. 100% blown away by what you think quality and customer service is? Third time and the same service and response. I'm sure there is a market for his mediocre food and very sup pat management and delivery. However, myself personally can't do business with such a low quality and low standard establishment. I am a real person though, and it would love to have a real conversation with the owner about what I have been experiencing, however, I think he does not care as was evident by his response to me. Very sad for the pizza industry and very sad for the beautiful town of Danvers. #absolutelydiacussted.

My food was hot and fresh and ready so quick. The chicken tenders were really good and the sandwiches are big. I will definitely be back!

I always disregarded them as they have "cafe and market" in their name. I assumed sandwich and bakery. We decided to pull in and discovered a full restaurant, patio, and bar. We decided to sit at the bar as it was last minute and there were empty seats. Joanna, our bar tender, instantly greeted us and got us some delicious cocktails quickly. My cosmo was one of the best I had. We asked for some recommendations, and she was spot on. The caprese salad was a plump delicious heirloom tomato with delicious pesto, mozzarella and balsamic dressing. The arancini was a cheesy risotto in a bolognese sauce that my husband couldn't stop saying "fantastic." Same with me. We ended up splitting the sliced filet which was cooked to perfection. Oh, and I forgot about the delicious warm bread and parmigian oil that was to die for. Service and food are 5 stars. We are going to come back again and again!! Loved it.

When a server finally did approach our table, instead of asking if we had been helped, she asked if we were moving. There were four of us sitting there waiting for service, and the entire interaction made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. I don't like jumping to conclusions, but the difference in how we were treated made it very difficult not to question whether there was some type of bias involved. If that wasn't the reason, then there is still a serious issue with the level of service and how guests are being treated. The most disappointing part is that we drove all the way from Virginia to experience Salem and were genuinely excited to be here. To have one of our first experiences leave us feeling this unwelcome was incredibly upsetting. Waiting 20 minutes is one thing. Being completely ignored and then finally approached only to be asked if we were moving is another. Unfortunately, we left feeling like we simply weren't wanted there.

Because the crust is so thin, it pools a decent amount of grease in the middle when it comes out right out of the oven. The pizza is significantly better if you let it cool and rest for a good 5 mins. Also makes it much easier for kids to eat after it sets up a little bit, otherwise it's going to fall apart/have cheese sliding off/put your kids in a downward spiral if you're like me. Otherwise, reasonably priced for the area. Drink menu very good as well. Good lunch spot.

The funky outer-space theme is packed with incredible memorabilia, including signed items from Star Wars, Star Trek, The X-Files, and more. Everywhere you look there's something interesting to check out while you wait for your food. The pizza absolutely lived up to the hype; fresh, flavorful, and worth the trip. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and made sure our family had everything we needed. They had unfortunately run out of their famous garlic rolls, so we tried the gluten-free garlic slices instead. While we appreciated having an alternative, they just weren't the same. One funny family moment: my youngest was afraid to use the bathroom because of all the graffiti on the walls! Once I explained it was part of the restaurant's quirky aesthetic, he laughed about it. One small heads-up for future visitors: there is a step immediately outside the exit that can be easy to miss. My son took an unexpected tumble walking out. Thankfully, he wasn't hurt, but it's worth watching your step. Overall, the incredible pizza, unique atmosphere, and excellent service made this a place we'd happily visit again. If you're in the area, this place is definitely worth a landing.
