Use escaped convicts before trusting this guy with your stuff. He showed up late in a truck that was far smaller than needed despite several discussions; without moving pads, dolly or straps. Furniture was dragged across the floor & pushed through doorways while drawers & doors flew open. The upholstered pieces were racked every which way & stuffed forcefully out the door. A professional would've taken a moment to plan & calculate instead of wasting valuable time and risking possible damage. All the while, there was a continual litany of insults & offensive comments to all who crossed his path. When the furniture was moved in by 2 friends, it took about 25 minutes to unload the truck and put everything in place once they pulled up to the back door. It took Dan & helper about an hour to get the furniture out the door & then another 15 minutes before they finally pulled away. Unless you're filming a training video on sexual harassment, inappropriate remarks, destructive moving practices, unprofessional behavior and how to waste time; don't hire Dan. read more

On initial inquiry, the owner offered a sight-unseen estimate for our move. Through our urging, he did visit, not on time, and offered an estimate in the $700 range for four men, four to five hours. We had arranged to begin our move, at his suggestion, the night before our move day but twice they delayed their arrival and eventually cancelled. The four men arrived two hours late on the morning of our move, and shortly thereafter, two men were pulled from the job. This left only two men for a very big move. These two men worked very hard and long. The move went on over 12 hours, late into the night before the move was over because only two men were there. As the night wore on, the two men began getting roughshod with our things, though this is understandable given their working conditions and length of time they had to work. Worst of all, late at night, the supervisor drives up to say, in an intimating way, that since the move took so long (with only 2 instead of the promised 4 men), they were upping the charge an additional $400 and they wanted it all as cash! How does someone come up-unexpectedly- with $1100 in cash late at night on Friday? Well, we did. This strikes me as a shady operation and they operate in shady, unprofessional ways. I can't say enough good things about the two poor guys who did the move and I tipped them very well, as they deserved. But I would never recommend this moving company for their shady, unreliable ways. I recommend that nobody uses this lousy company! read more

They are unprofessional and will only accept cash. I had to badger one of the movers to provide a receipt, and he finally agreed to write one out on a blank sheet of paper. I have tried on many occasions via phone and email to get an "official" receipt from them, but I can't get in touch with anyone. Very shady dealings. I recently used Dan's Relocators to move from Warrenville to Lisle. I truly cannot point anything out that went wrong. I needed to downsize from a small house to an apartment and had everything packed and ready. I tried calling a few moving companies and everyone's price was high and nobody was capable of moving that day, not even for another few days. Luckily I recalled a friend of mine referring me to Dan, the owner. As soon as I called, a friendly owner met me on the phone, he told me their low cost, much lower than the competitors I tried. He also said he could squeeze me in at 4pm and he was already at a job at 8am. In addition, his company was insured and had a BBB rating of an A+. Soon enough he was at my house at 4pm sharp. So far so good, and the day just got better. He brought 5 men with him who evidently had moving experience, one even told me he'd been doing it for over 20 years. They gladly broke down my bed, safely brought all the furniture outside (over 10 pieces), and worked quickly and efficiently. The 5 men, and Dan most of all were extremely friendly, funny, and kept a smile on my face. After only a little over an hour they had everything packed up and made sure all my furniture and valuable paintings were neatly covered with padding. As soon as we arrived they didn't slow down at all compared to the beginning. They continued their hustle and with gentleness placed everything where I asked. Also, they set up my bed, and my sofa, which had 3 sections to it. All in all I truly enjoyed my experience with Dan and his 5 men. Moving has always been a stressful experience and for once I can say that I was relaxed and everything went smoothly. Not an item I inspected was scratched, or damaged. No walls were banged. I couldn't ask for a better move, and I would recommend Dan's Relocators to anyone. read more

Dan and his team have relocated us at least five times. I have found them to be very accommodating and willing to do small jobs (piano) and medium jobs (studio apartment to studio apartment) and office furniture to new location. They have been on time, worked consistently and ready to please. Dan is the first person I think of when it comes to moving something. It's worked well for me in the past and I'm sure that I will be pleased the next time I call Dan and hire him to do the moving job I need to be done. He was recommended to me by a friend who needed to have a curio cabinet moved with delicate treasures within it. the person below on 3/20/16 is falsly noted information, there was never a husband involved or father in law , we worked for this move for a split 2 day move , that involved dog crap on that floors and a dead rabbit in the garage and we brought our own truck , and loaded hers and took her out to dinner with us after the first job , her family was even apologizing for there mothers unstable mind , that the unfamily was thrown out of a rental home for being keeping the home untidy (hense Dog feeces / dead rabbit in the garage) and we not only did the job in two days but didnt charge for a overnight truck charge, didnt charge for a whole hours worth of putting things together after the stuff was moved in and this by far was the most disgusting move ive ever been involved in my life of 20 years of moving read more

I have hired movers several times and this company is the worst by far. They arrived 2 hours late to load the trucks, tried to increase the cost, and they were unprofessional. They were 5, yes 5 hours late at our new place. In order to get everything moved in, my husband and father-in-law had to help them. The whole point of hiring movers is so you don't have to do the moving. I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend them to anyone. Oh, and they never informed us we had to pay in cash until they were done loading so my husband had to make a run to the bank. Luckily the bank was open at the time. read more

I agree with other reviewers. They are the worst. 3 grubby guys showed up late. I was paying hourly and they spent 50% of their time just walking around mumbling and grumbling. They had no specialized moving equipment and carried everything by hand. Complained about all the heavy things they had to carry. Seriously??? Spent alot of time wondering around and wasting time. Finally, my husband sent them upstairs and told them they were not allowed down unless they were carrying something. (Thank goodness he used to be a construction foreman!) DO NOT USE THIS MOVER. I called these guys for a really quick move for only a few pieces of heavy furniture that I didn't want to lift because of my back. My mom had used them before and was happy. Every other moving company just didn't get it...they all wanted to charge me four hour minimum for maybe a couple hrs of work and travel time and the prices were outrageous so I was kinda stuck a few days before moving untill my mom reminded me about them. I called dan and he was super accomodating and understanding of my specific situation and we worked out something to fit my needs. The guys bob andmike were great and I had no issues as they were careful with all my items and packed everything with pads. Fyi you don't need to call a big name expensive moving company that will break your wallet for a job these guys are fully capable of doing for a great price.
