Sourdough bun with pepper, jack cheese, and grilled onions
Halezyeah ..

Great food and service! Hometown feel. You can tell the locals love it. We tried the fried shrimp poboy (10/10), get the cajun fries (10/10) and the burgers (10/10) are huge!!! I built my own with pepper jack cheese and grilled onions. Mine was a double patty, which I did not know, so you could literally split the burger between two people! Everything was so good!!! Located inside a large shopping center. Walk in and pick your table. Seems like a good area of town. Great place to stop for lunch, lots of gas stations in the same exit.

A great little nugget of gold. Service, food excellent. I was at first concerned as the menu posted was 2022.

Dan's Poboys and Seafood is just off of Interstate 10 in a small shopping plaza. The place itself is rather nondescript and easy to miss. Walking in, the place does not have a lot of ambiance. It is more straightforward, but it was still pleasant enough. The service was okay, but nothing overly spectacular. I went with one of their appetizers, the debris fries. The food came out in a decent enough time. I found the roast beef was pretty underseasoned and definitely needed salt and pepper. The plate did offer a lot of food and was priced just under ten dollars ($9.99 to be exact). This was a definite good value. They also had two lunch specials that day in addition to their usual menu offerings. All in all, this was a decent enough option for lunch. The place eas pleasant enough, the food decent and it was definitely a good value.

Dan's Poboys and Seafood is located in a shopping center that is well lit and has plenty of parking. I chose Dan's based on prior reviews, since I am not from the area and am down in Mississippi with my father for a car show. So we parked the vintage vehicle and walked up to Dan's, and walked right in. There is limited dine in seating as it's a small location. I will say however that they are BIG on taste. We chose our table and were promptly met by our server. We were delivered menus and She took drink orders and filled them with a quickness. I ordered the redfish and my father ordered the shrimp perogue. I photographed both. I ordered the redfished baked and when it arrived it looked amazing. A delicious étouffée over the top of it. The fish was cooked perfectly and the flavor was outstanding in all the components of the dish. I highly recommend it. Flaky fish, soft rice and flavorful étouffée. My father said he enjoyed his shrimp perogue and said it was full of flavor and the shrimp was cooked perfectly as well. I'm assuming that Dan's is a new business, and I would definitely give them a try. The waitresses are both outstanding, filling drinks when the other is away. I highly recommend Dan's, I saw they have a B rating, I don't know why that was given, I didn't see anything that caused me any concern. Dan's was clean, at least in the common areas.

Dan's in Diamondhead, Mississippi! Excellent quick stop. I join other Yelp reviewers with 5 rating for food and service. Dining area could be brightened up; but who cares when the food is good. The fresh shrimp was lightly breaded and fried perfectly. Not rubbery. The sandwich bread was fresh a nicely toasted. Little sparse on the tomato, but that's just me. Husband likes the sweet tea which is fresh brewed. Easy on and off the freeway and easy to find. If you're traveling the I-10, it's a good place to stop.

Delicious food, on point service, and reasonably prices. My husband, mom and I stopped in for lunch today. None of us had ever eaten here before, but we were all pleasantly surprised. We all had sweet tea which was delicious. We split debris fries which were hot, made with seasoned fries, and had a delicious brown gravy. My mom had a Catfish sandwich that had plenty of Catfish and fresh toppings. My husband and I split the seafood platter with gumbo, a salad and onion rings. The gumbo was thin but had a delicious savory flavor and quite a few shrimp. The salad was fresh and they make their ranch in house, which is always a delicious surprise. The Seafood was all scrumptious although the shrimp were slightly overcooked. Rating from F to A +++ they get an A++. We would definitely eat here again.

Shrimp poboy dressed (added cheese and jalapeños)

Found this spot via Yelp on my drive back home from Pensacola and I wasn't disappointed ! The shrimp po boy (6 inch) was huge and full of popcorn sized, well seasoned and perfectly cooked freshly fried shrimp. The spot is in a strip mall near the Rouses next door to an amazing donut shop ( perfect for grabbing another snack for the drive home). The counter service was friendly and fast. The menu offers the usual po boys, burger, fries and seafood baskets and also offers beer if you're eating in. The poboy was on very good French bread and comes with a side and I choose potato salad which was homemade and fresh. Because of the drive home I ate a few shrimp that had escaped the bread and reheated everything when I got home and the shrimp were even better ! The bread had the perfect crunch and the shrimp were crispy after about 10 minutes in the oven. The size of the poboy was definitely enough for 2 or 3 meals and with a variety of sides that included the usual suspects of coleslaw, potato salad, fries as well as the option to upgrade to sweet potato fries, side salad or onion rings was a bargain at around 15.00. Totally recommend stopping by or making a trip for a perfect poboy.

I went here a few days ago with my grandchildren. Ordered oyster poboy. Nothing was fresh oysters or the bread. Nothing was worth it!

S&S soup is delicious. Mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and tofu pieces. Wonton chips are fresh and not stale. Crab Rangoon's filling had almost no distinct flavor but the texture was good, as well as the perfectly crispy wrapper. Egg roll was ok, again fried to perfection but the filling flavor was non-descript. Pork Fried Rice came automatically with the dish. It's good. I think it's a specialty of theirs which is why it was standard (as in, customers automatically opt for it) and not plain white rice. I'm not sure if it was an upgrade charge or not. It was just automatically entered. General Tso chicken tastes like funnel cake. Powdered sugar flavor, fried bread, slight honey or vanilla. Hint of pepper. It's very tasty but not what I think of when I think General Tso. Overall this is better than some Chinese restaurants in the area. I honestly cannot say one is head and shoulders above another. We usually do Yun Long because we know what they're good at and what they're not, and Yun Long is consistent. We really like Ichiban the best but that is all the way in Picayune. Give them a shot. Do a small meal to make sure you like them. My wife and I shared this one rather than getting two full meals from a restaurant we've never tried. It filled us both up!

We finally made it to Front Porch Cafe. What a lovely dining experience!…read more Front Porch is a cozy bayou-esque gem. It feels like you're pulling up to family's for dinner, which is exactly what you're doing since this is a family-owned and run establishment. We dined on a Wednesday night and were fortunate to snatch a comfy booth right by the entrance. The ambience is like a cozy covered porch with homey accents. They do have an actual front porch with outdoor seating as well for those who want to sit outside. They have a LOT of menu items. Beyond their regular menu they had plenty of interesting specials. Because I absolutely love redfish but also love shrimp and grits, I asked them to make me blackened redfish with shrimp and grits and it was no problem at all. The meal starts with a small basic salad. Then the entrees roll out and you're really in for a treat. The portions are MASSIVE and delicious. I loved my meal. The grits delicious and the two seafood portions could have been meals all on their own. My date had the steak and I tasted it and it was also very good. The prices are very fair and the service is excellent. This will be a regular in the rotation going forward for sure!!
