The service was really great. Friendly, attentive and professional customer service staff. However, the food lacks quality. We were a group of professionals eating for lunch. Golden Corral or Mexican? I decided, since I'm at the Mexican border, I gotta go with Mexican food. This is a local chain, and I've been to one of their other locations before. I think they were good (reviews for them are all nearly 4 stars). They're also relatively cheaper than many of the other Mexican restaurants in the area. I ordered the enchiladas suizas (chicken). The salsa tasted fresh, but it was made with diced jalapeños, so it had a kick. Did my best to avoid those. I wasn't too lucky half the time. Why is salsa in south Texas so freaking spicy? I just don't understand the desire to eat food that burns your mouth and creates an uncontrollable tearing of the eyes. ‍ my mama used to say if Mexican food didn't make you cry it wasn't good. And many people will tell you that hot, spicy food is supposed to release endorphins which make you feel good. I hope it doesn't give me bad indigestion tonight. most likely it's the salsa that will do it because of the tomatoes. Tomatoes are acidic and acidic foods cause acid reflux. I picked this spot bc short walk from hotel but it's just off The interstate so convenient for everyone. Delicious food start to finish. Hot greasy chips, outstanding salsa. I had Chachos, super meaty beef nachos, they were delicious, big chunks of flavorful, tender beef. I had the enchiladas suizas, tortillas were soft and perfect, no chewy parts, tomatillo sauce was perfect, shredded chicken, great food. My only complaint was the sour cream came in a tube that was weird, but great food here, will definitely come again. Lots of combo plates. Helps to know a few words of espanol, but it's not a big deal if you don't. Nice staff. read more

Don't order from here if you don't speak Spanish. I tried to call for a pick up order and all I was able to say was "Can I order for a pick up". Seems like the guy was yelling at me in Spanish and I heard "no ingles" and then hung up on me. Very rude and bad customer service. read more

Ordered the chorizo burrito and they are very stingy with the chorizo. I received a burrito that looked pretty large but large because of so much beans. They should call it a bean burrito instead, I think they only put enough chorizo for a bit of taste. The service was excellent but came here for breakfast and I'm very disappointed. read more

What a surprise!!! My wife and I drive truck. We head to Laredo about 3 times per month. We stay at Days Inn if we have layover. Saw Danny's Restaurant, but didn't expect much.
