So when visiting good friends in Laredo we couldn't pass up the opportunity to check this place out. The owner was wonderful. Friendly and grateful. Due to covid we called our in for pick up. It was ready in exactly how much time the quoted. The pick up process was simple, quick and safe. And the food!!!!! PERFECTION! The milanesa de res was nice and crispy. The pastor was flavorful. None of us had a bad meal. Now I'm dreaming of our next visit to Laredo so we can go back!

Unfortunately, his experience was anything but welcoming. He had a difficult time communicating with the employee on the intercom because of the language barrier. When he finally got someone who spoke English, they explained that the order came with four tacos. When he went to pay with Apple Pay, the employee took his phone and then closed the window without immediately returning it. My husband actually had to open the window himself to get his phone back. According to him, everyone looked surprised or confused by what happened. Because we have experienced identity theft in the past, this was an immediate red flag for him. When someone takes your phone while you're trying to pay and then closes the window without giving it back, that's not something you should have to wonder about. Instead of receiving an apology or having the situation handled professionally, he was given three tacos instead of four, with only beef and tortillas no onion, no cilantro, and no salsa. After checking his order, he had to ask for the missing toppings and finally received them. As a Latina myself, I find this entire experience incredibly disappointing. If you're serving customers in the United States, there should be an effort to communicate with them and provide the same quality of food and service regardless of whether they're Latino or American. My husband went there looking forward to authentic tacos and left feeling uncomfortable and poorly treated. Based on this experience, we will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place to our family, friends, or followers.

It was busy at the time I entered (10:15 am on a Wednesday) but I was seated immediately. My server Ivan was excellent and brought me coffee and my food order quickly. I ordered the "El Gringo" which was delicious (photo attached). Without asking , it came with two kinds of salsa (red and green). Red was spicy made with habaneros. Pancakes were great and Ivan even asked me if I wanted strawberry or blueberry topping on them. Of course I took the strawberries which put the pancakes over the top. Eggs, bacon and hash browns were delicious. I always enjoy supporting local restaurants and this place was loud, festive and enjoyable. First things first: I was super impressed. The inside is nice and the servers were great too, but our food stole the show. I got the Chicken and waffles and they were super good. There's always something about Chicken going well with waffles that somehow works, but thankfully it does. Wife got the El Gringo plate and she thoroughly enjoyed it too. We both wish we could have had more but for what we got it was really filling. If we ever do come back to Laredo we will stop by again. FYI apparently some or a good handful of the brunch plates come with pancakes on the side, according to our server, but it's not mentioned on the menu.
