So when visiting good friends in Laredo we couldn't pass up the opportunity to check this place out. The owner was wonderful. Friendly and grateful. Due to covid we called our in for pick up. It was ready in exactly how much time the quoted. The pick up process was simple, quick and safe. And the food!!!!! PERFECTION! The milanesa de res was nice and crispy. The pastor was flavorful. Good portions and solid food. Brisket and chicken tacos, served in flour shells, had good portions of meat that was well cooked with good texture, but rathe boring in flavor. I enjoyed them more when I loaded them up with red and green salsas. The shrimp cocktail sauce tasted kind of like barbecue sauce, but the flavor was good, and it came with a good amount of onion and avocado. This location was recommended to my fiancé by a coworker. At first, I was not impressed with the interior or exterior. My thoughts quickly switched to, "okay this is just a local sandwich shop", even though they have the potential to liven it up (I'm just saying). We ended up trying almost everything (hehe) including the tortas, sincronizadas, and lonches. The lonches were our favorite from the three. I tried the chicken and beef options and they're both tasty! We also tried the Jamaica agaua fresca and I appreciated the light (no sugar) option. Staying in laredo for a couple weeks and someone suggested this spot for a quick lunch. I am glad we stopped by. Very clean place, friendly staff and fresh food. I ordered the mini chicken tacos (5) in one serving. The red sauce that's served with the tacos was the perfect spice level for me! read more

If you want to try the best tortas in town, Tortas Yukon is the perfect place. The tortas are authentically Mexican and are extremely delicious. If you have never gone to this restaurant or have never tried a torta before, I highly recommend either the torta de ternera or torta Laredo. The combos include the torta, tasty fries, and a drink; however I recommend you by a fruit drink (watermelon, melon, lemon, etc.). If you aren't in the mood for a torta, you can also order delicious tacos. Tortas Yukon also sell corn in the cups, frito pies, nachos, and fruit cups if you are simply in the mood for a snack. This place isn't bad. I ate all my food. I love the effort--they invested money in a play place for kids and decent prices. But presentation of place could have been better and fries a bit heavy. Meats were good vs. Loncheria but I liked the bread at Loncheria more. The service was okay. It was friendly. Overall a good economical place to take your kids. But you'll feel bad after as again it's heavy food. read more

This was the first time I've eaten there. While waiting for my food, I had a chance to look around. I noticed chairs had crumbs all over, my table was sticky, the cashiers never smile or greet customers, there's lots of flies, so many in fact that there was some flies drowning in their open-top frescas jugs, and walking around on another customer's food. Once the food had arrived to my table, I immediately dug in. Now this food is so perfect, a contrast to the place that could use a few improvements. All of the ingredients in my ternera torta tasted fresh and delicious; it has a layer of mashed avocado and another layer of mashed beans. I was even picking up the little pieces that had fallen to my basket, it was so good. Since I bought it as a combo, I also got fries. There are very few places in Laredo that have fries this good, one that comes to mind is Hal's Landing. Hot, crispy, perfectly salted, thick fries are definitely worth a try. I'd recommend eating it as soon as possible without letting it cool down, and never leave your food uncovered. My order came out to about $9, slightly too expensive, but I'd definitely go back again. read more

Food just OK. You can certainly find better Mexican fare in Laredo. I gave it three stars because the staff was very nice and helpful (entire menu in Espanol, but they helped me decipher it) and they have great aguas frescas. Tortas Yukon, I had never been there before and had heard good things about the place. I decided to go there with my wife to see for ourselves how the restaurant was like. One of the main reasons for going to "Tortas Yukon" was for its fresh fruit Aguas that they sell there. Finally we go there and our experience at this place was HORRIBLE!!! I ordered a "Cubano Torta" and the cashier explained what the torta contained but left OUT the fact that the torta contained "Avocado". When I got my meal I was about to take a bite of it when I noticed that the bread had avocado smeared on it. 1. I'm allergic to avocado and 2. I brought it up with the cashier to whom I paid with. Cashier said that my order was done and prepared already that they pretty much couldn't do anything about it. All they could do was scrape it off the bread and the top of the food.... "WTF" MY LIFE IS AT RISK IF I EAT EVEN A SMALL PORTION OF AVOCADO!! So yes instead of them changing my torta and giving me a brand new one that had no avocado they decided to just scrape if off with the back of a butter knife. Cashier also stated that all tortas contained avocado...which I was weirded out because I've eaten tortas in other places and they don't all have avocado in it. Enough said I didn't eat it!! Then I go to use the restroom to wash my hands off from the avocado and to my surprise... "RoAcHeS in the restroom". I was sooooo disgusted that my wife and I couldn't eat our meal comfortably!!!
