Definitely not a place you want to go to if you're a big party. The server was not very attentive considering she was getting a 20% gratuity. The manager came off a little rude but then apologized after we stepped out of the restaurant. I would go back if it's a party of 3 or less people. It seems as if they had the food just sitting there until the last plate was ready. 2 of the 10 plates were cold to the touch. Most of our plates were missing items. I ordered the chilaquiles Los del patron with the chipotle sauce, eggs over medium and ribeye. They forgot to give me the eggs but brought them out after I made them aware. The food was definitely on point in flavor. The chilaquiles were stuffed with cheese and I loved it. I ordered a cafe de olla but it was just coffee with cinnamon. They could've told me they didn't serve it there. I then ordered a Paloma. Definitely one of the best I've had in Laredo. Overall the service was mediocre, the quality of the food was okay, and the flavor was on point. I might give it a second chance just because of the chilaquiles and Paloma. read more

The restaurant is very nice and classy but the menu selection is very limited and overpriced. The menu didn't impress me that much but the prices did. Huevos Rancheros $16.00. Really! I had the Enmoladas and they left little to my imagination. They tasted like Mole Doña Maria with chicken broth and that's it. I couldn't taste any hints of peanut butter or mexican chocolate. Upon arrival, this place looked promising. The decor is attractive and relaxing, with a jungle/oasis aesthetic. Unfortunately, that's where the positives stopped. The tables are all comically warped, to the point that just setting down your drink is a dangerous proposition - not ideal for a restaurant! Our table for ten was crammed into a 6-top, with people forced to sit on corners and even worse - between the two warped tables, with one edge easily 4-5" higher than the other. This, despite there being other available tables around that could have been a better match and could have kept us more comfortable. Terrible oversight from the staff. They didn't seem to care, anyway. Service was painfully slow, from initial drink order, to refills, to bringing much needed napkins for the inevitable spills due to the wonky tables, to taking our order, to bringing it out. Every step was a master class in crappy slow service. I was never offered a refill, despite being empty for over 10 minutes, so I went to get my own. Over an hour after arrival, we finally were brought food. Several orders were wrong, but we just rolled with it at that point because we were hungry! I ordered enmoladas, and while the mole was decent, it was very thin, and far too reminiscent of watered-down Doña Maria's to be anything else. The chicken inside tasted like it had been boiled a couple days prior, then set open in a refrigerator until it was put in uncooked tortillas and covered with mole. The beans were literally cold, but at least the rice was edible, although mushy. No one in my party enjoyed the experience - the portions were small, the food was gross, and the service was terrible. Not only will we not be back, but we will make sure people realize that better places are available. Taco Bell, for instance, would serve a better and more satisfying brunch, and for far less money. read more

Went for brunch and really enjoyed the food, service and over all experience. We had an order of green chilaquiles, red chilaquiles, and chicken & waffles, it's not on the menu but they have them. All the food was great, timing was a bit off as we waited about 10 minutes from time the chilaquiles came out to the chicken & waffles served. Casa Ramona is by far the best brunch in Laredo! I've tried most places if not all and yes hands down the chilaquiles are the best here. The service is quick and the server was so polite and friendly. The decor is so unique, so modern and rustic, and beautifully done. The entire place is so inviting except the bathroom. Needs a little tlc. read more

This used to be a bar, now it's an upscale brunch restaurant, with classy LIVE Jazz music, on weekends. Kid friendly, place has outside seating and inside. Food was good, portions are small-medium, so it's good if you're planning on dessert. I will be coming back to try some other menu items. read more

This could just be one of my new fav brunch areas in Laredo. The aesthetic is everything you want your brunch setting to be. It's sophisticated, modern, elegant and cozy, def not gauche. The seating is comfortable, think sofa chairs and warmly lit with Edison bulbs overhead, combined with warm, dark neutral decor, and plenty of natural light that comes in from the outdoor patio. I've got a sweet tooth and don't do breakfast meals often, but I had a regular OJ and the banana French toast with a lightly textured whipped sweet cream and a generous garnish of pecans. Location: blink and you'll miss it when you are coming along Jacaman. It's next to the Rock Gym. The service was fast, staff was attentive and accommodating. I def recommend this place and will keep it in consideration for brunch next time. read more
