My family felt that we were being discriminated against from the moment we arrived; for instance, they seated us at a small table despite there being 8 of us (and larger, unoccupied tables available), and because we were speaking Spanish, they did not treat the incident with the seriousness it deserved. First things first: I was super impressed. The inside is nice and the servers were great too, but our food stole the show. I got the Chicken and waffles and they were super good. There's always something about Chicken going well with waffles that somehow works, but thankfully it does. Wife got the El Gringo plate and she thoroughly enjoyed it too. We both wish we could have had more but for what we got it was really filling. If we ever do come back to Laredo we will stop by again. FYI apparently some or a good handful of the brunch plates come with pancakes on the side, according to our server, but it's not mentioned on the menu.
