I enjoyed them more when I loaded them up with red and green salsas. The shrimp cocktail sauce tasted kind of like barbecue sauce, but the flavor was good, and it came with a good amount of onion and avocado. The elote was disappointingly bland, and the corn in it had an odd texture.

While in Laredo Texas on business, I found this restaurant and decided to give it a shot. WOW,…read moreabsolutely DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The service, food and atmosphere were excellent. It was busy at the time I entered (10:15 am on a Wednesday) but I was seated immediately. My server Ivan was excellent and brought me coffee and my food order quickly. I ordered the "El Gringo" which was delicious (photo attached). Without asking , it came with two kinds of salsa (red and green). Red was spicy made with habaneros. Pancakes were great and Ivan even asked me if I wanted strawberry or blueberry topping on them. Of course I took the strawberries which put the pancakes over the top. Eggs, bacon and hash browns were delicious. I always enjoy supporting local restaurants and this place was loud, festive and enjoyable. I will 100% return if or when my business travels bring me back to Laredo Texas

First things first: I was super impressed. The inside is nice and the servers were great too, but our food stole the show. I got the Chicken and waffles and they were super good. There's always something about Chicken going well with waffles that somehow works, but thankfully it does. Wife got the El Gringo plate and she thoroughly enjoyed it too. We both wish we could have had more but for what we got it was really filling. If we ever do come back to Laredo we will stop by again. FYI apparently some or a good handful of the brunch plates come with pancakes on the side, according to our server, but it's not mentioned on the menu.

The business has a notice that they charge a 3% service fee for credit/debit use which is fine in itself but that is not the problem. Today I visited and ordered 4 lonches de ternera which is $14 before tax and service fee. I was told it was $15.50 which did not include the 3% service fee (0.46 cents). The total with service fee was $15.96. Again the problem is not the 3% service fee but in how they arrived at the $15.50 total. If you take the 4 lonches that is $14 plus 8.25% tax that total should be $15.16 but I was told $15.50. They made an additional .34 cents. The second visit I brought this up and they tried to refund me and I let it go but this third visit they are still overcharging. Please be aware of this and I hope the business corrects this.
