Chicken vegetable soup
Frans D.

They are known for their unlimited soup and salad bar. One of the soups I looked forward to was the chicken wing soup. It did not disappoint. A great Frank's hot sauce flavor. There are always 4 soups; besides the wings soup the choices were meatball gnocchi, chicken vegetable and beef on weck soup. They were all very (temperature) hot. I liked the meatball/gnocchi one. It's tomato based with lots of small meatballs and gnocchi. I think it was over salted. The waitress actually asked me if I agreed with her about that. The beef on weck soup was okay too. The chicken vegetable was okay, lots of chicken but not too much taste. The salad bar is very nice with lots of choices for add on: pepperoncini, pickled beets, Cole slaw, 3 bean salad, mushrooms and more. Also 4 different dressings.

Danny's has been around for as long as I can remember. That being said, it does have a dated feel to it. Nothing bad, it's clean but, it could use a refresher. The hostess/waitress was very nice and brought us to our table with menus and an invitation for beverages. We knew we were getting the soup and salad bar which is something they're known for. I ordered an apple cinnamon beer that was delicious but I couldn't drink more than a couple. There were four soups offered. I enjoyed the chicken wing soup the best but all were quite good. The salad bar is nothing too fancy. Iceberg lettuce mix, tomato, onion, garbanzo beans, beets, chow mein noodles, bacon bits, coleslaw etc. 6 standard dressings including a gluten free and some nice warm breadsticks. That's about it. The $15 price is way worth the trip when you don't want a big burger or wings. There's plenty of options on the menu and the good sized parking lot secures a spot. I'll definitely not wait so long to return.

The food here is fine. Nothing spectacular, but not disappointing either. If you get the fisherman's platter, I recommend that you don't get it deep-fried because they put a breadcrumb batter That is very hard to pierce although the fish or scallops inside it is quite tender. The soups here on the unlimited soup and salad bar are marvelous. The spicy chicken wing soup is by far my favorite, but they had a very nice beef barley, turkey noodle and a New England clam chowder that were fine as well. Our waitress Jill was fantastic. She came by the table and refilled our drinks regularly and got all of the orders right. This place fills up quickly creating an atmosphere of conviviality and neighborly interaction. This restaurant located right next to the Buffalo International Airport, looks small from the outside, but is enormous on the inside. The menu is deep enough to satisfy every taste.

Service was excellent when a friend and i ate there. My reuben was loaded with meat, and was delicious! Friend's summer lunch special was a chicken wrap with strawberries, another great choice. Plastic straws and noisy environment led to 4 stars rather than 5.

Ordered a friday beer battered fish fry, came with fries, small tarter, and lemon wedge. Starting with fries, they were very good, good size and not burned. Now the fish, great size but came with so much grease you could almost see it oozing out of beer batter like sweat from a fat man's forehead on a hot humid New Orleans night. I couldn't even eat 30 % of it. Took rest home and greased garage door roller wheels with the fish. Door slides easily and quietly so repurposing fish fry saved a call to Buffalo Overhead Door

Mini Beef on Weck

Stopped in for the "express lunch," and it delivered exactly what a Buffalo comfort‑food lunch should. The small beef on weck with chips was classic and satisfying, but the real star was the endless soup and salad bar. The cream of mushroom soup was exceptional -- rich, deeply flavorful, and easily one of the best versions I've ever had. The salad bar was spotless and well‑stocked, with plenty of fresh options. They don't put blue cheese dressing out, but ask for it -- it's fantastic. The homemade croutons are another quiet little triumph. Despite a busy lunch rush, service stayed friendly, efficient, and genuinely attentive. Prices are very reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get. A dependable, no‑frills Buffalo staple that knows exactly what it does well -- and does it really well.

This was my first visit to Danny's, and I was impressed. The menu can feel a bit intimidating at first, but the servers are friendly, patient, and very helpful. The restaurant is much larger inside than it appears from the outside. If you're coming with a large group, consider carpooling since parking is limited. There's an incredible amount to choose from. The extensive menu includes a salad bar with hot soups, sandwiches, fried fish, and more. I ordered the Buffalo Weck Buffalo (similar to beef on weck), which features an amazing burger and comes with your choice of fries, fruit, or chips. Everything was delicious. Definitely give them a try! #HappyEating

Came here for a quick drink at the bar before flight (because airport drink prices are so much more) We sat at the bar and enjoyed drinks (I was DD so I got an iced tea) Had an amazing hostess that was super friendly and had lots of amazing advice for us. Will definitely come back for some food next time!

In all the years me and my best friend have lived here, we never tried Danny's ... and we have been missing out! I ordered the fish sandwich and added on the soup and salad. It was way too much food for me but I felt very inclined to try this soup and salad bar set up. I'm not typically a soup girl, aside from my own delicious chicken and rice, so I wasn't expecting to love their soup so much but I did. There are 4 choices and they change them EXCEPT I think they always have their chicken wing soup. So I sampled each soup: chicken wing, pizza, chicken pot pie, and lentil. I really loved their homemade croutons too, which even included some made from rye bread that paired perfectly with the lentil. My favorite soup was actually the pizza soup (which I expected not to like at all!) and my second favorite was the chicken wing soup. The salad was bar was decent, included pasta salad and garlic breadsticks and some other type of flavored slice bread I didnt get to try as I was too full. My fish sandwhich was great ... it does have toppings, but I requested mine plain. Fries were good too, although I only ate 2 because I was too full for this as well lol. My friend enjoyed his meal too although I can't remember what he got. Plenty of seating and at least 6 handicap pparking spots. Waitress and hostess was nice - didn't interact with bartender but she was nice to the people she did interact with. Ambiance is casual and sort of old fashioned but with good food and service it's a small sacrifice! Soft drinks are Coke products.

The service was great and the salad bar is always great, and I love the chicken wing soup, what I ordered was the fabulous fish fry, it was nicely seasoned along with fries, it was delicious the waitress made sure everything was fine at our table. This is a very nice restaurant to dine at, and this restaurant brings back so many beautiful memories

Turkey Dinner special

Danny's is a favorite neighborhood staple. I hadn't been there in a while, but for me, they have never disappointed. I got the turkey dinner special. It was something like $22 or so. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce. Also included the soup and salad bar for free instead of the regular $6 up charge. The soup and salad are so good (4 soups to choose from) that I took the whole turkey dinner home. Delicious. It's like that corner bar meets home style cooking. And ALWAYS get the chicken wing soup!

Really no complaints about this place the haddock was fried hard to my liking and not mushy underneath. For an extra 5$ you can add the salad bar to any meal , a home cooked food kind of spot who's been around definitely worth a try.

Came to Danny's for a Celebration of life and the staff went far and beyond what you would expect. At the spot he would sit they placed a beer and pic of him Dancing with his wife. Above and Beyond what the family expected. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Far and beyond a great establishment!!!

On Wednesdays they…read morehave 75 cent wings and if you order enough of them, you'll be in the newest wing club in Buffalo. I have always liked the wings here, I just always get distracted by all the other good food like the burgers and chicken fingers. But their wings are one of my favorite in all of Buffalo. They have so many good flavors but I ended up going with the kickin bourbon bbq and some medium this time. Service here is always fast and they really have perfected the customer service factor. The vibes here always have me with the nostalgia of the old restaurants and bars from way back. It's great with all the TVs and decor. This is what they mean by hidden gem. Great spot with great service and food. You can't go wrong here.

They have a TON of flavors to choose from. We love the Jamaican jerk sauce and now get it on our chicken sandwiches and wraps. I've also tried and enjoyed the hot garlic sauce. The wings are 75 cents with some specialty sauces at a slightly higher price. We also enjoy the Thursday special that is $12 burgers, chicken sandwiches, and chicken wraps! Includes fries and a pickle. I've tried several of the chicken wraps and my favorite is the Island Blitz with no tomato. We will soon come for the new Monday taco special! (They are closed on Tuesdays) Mark the bartender is both friendly and attentive. We've even had the pleasure of talking to Steve the cook who makes the delicious food. There are other items I want to try on the menu, but it's hard because I love that wrap so much. I'm so glad we decided to stop for those wings because now this is one of our regular dining spots. Check it out you won't be disappointed.
