Stopped in after the Fourth of July parade finished. There weren't that many people inside. We took a seat and the waitress said they're severely understaffed. We ordered a basket of fries and a medium pizza, half sausage half mushroom. To my surprise the waitress asked us if we wanted canned mushrooms or fresh. why would a pizza joint use canned mushrooms? Makes me think what other ingredients are canned and not fresh. 35 mins after placing our order our fries finally came out, 35 minutes! Needless to say the fries were super cold and seemed like they were sitting out for a long time. During this whole time we see all the waitresses running around trying to serve all of the customers. I noticed this bigger guy behind the bar not doing anything. One point a waitress took someone's drink behind the bar and the bigger guy stuck his fingers in the drink and gave it back to her., she then took it to the customer. This gentleman then takes a seat in front of the bar and watches tv. We finally got our thin crust medium pizza which took 45 to an hour to get. It seemed to be undercooked but it appears that is how Danny's makes their pizza. The whole pizza was lacking sauce, I mean there was no sauce. Tried to get the attention of a waitress to ask for extra sauce and ranch. After waiting 15 minutes I walk up to the bar and waited another 5 minutes before someone asked if I needed help. Mind you the gentleman was just sitting there and saw me standing. I then ask for side of sauce and ranch. When it was time to go we waited and waited for a box and our bill. Waited 15 minutes and nothing. Again I had to walk up to the bar to ask for a box and the bill. Was told our waitress will bring it to us. She finally came to our table with a tiny box "this is all we have unless I have to go down to the basement to get another one. We were so done and tired of waiting so we took the tiny box. This is not the waitress fault, all of this is on management. Maybe they should look for better managers that know how to schedule people on such a busy day. Will I ever go to Danny's again? Stay at the quality inn on 31 quite frequently for work. Inside every room i always seen this place so decided to give it a shot. The delivery driver was a wanna be gangster who i shoulda taken the tip back after he neglected to say a single word. The food is hysterically basic. the garlic cheese bread was bread with maybe a slice of cheese melted over it, no dipping sauce. The baked mostaccioli was bland and no meat in the meat sauce. The calzone was huge but you must eat a pound of crust before you reach the core which is mostly sauce so i did end up getting so sauce for bread... highly not recommended, wish i had seen reviews before my order. read more

This rating is based on providing live event entertainment. We are a band that played at Danny's once. Tried multiple times to reschedule future dates but kept changing them. We replied that we'd like to keep an offered date that was confirmed but later asked to once again reschedule to another date. They said, "sorry the date has been taken and we won't be using our services." Very unprofessional with event coordination. The live entertainment isn't all that good anyways... go figure. read more

Recently ordered a pizza on a Thursday, expected the normal delivery time of about an hour. After an hour and 20 minutes, called and was told it would be there shortly, they were short of drivers. Called again about an hour and 40 minutes, would not answer the phone. Called again as it was being delivered 2 hours and 18 minutes (per the driver as to when the order was called in) and told them I was not happy, why didn't they tell me in the beginning they were short of drivers? Or why not call me, a customer of over 30 years, that there was a problem? I then asked if there would be any compensation, like maybe a free pizza (it was a medium) and was told that the best they could do was a $9 credit. THEY NEVER OFFERED ANYTHING, EVEN AN APOLOGY! Seems like very poor customer relations, I will be looking for another pizza place. read more

I've been to Danny's a few times now and each and every time was a huge disappointment. Yes the place is HUGE and great for big groups. But it also gets really loud and slows service down immensely. I'm not a fan of their pizza. I find it way too cheesy which is hard for me to say because I LOVE CHEESE. Last time we went, we were with friends. We ordered the traditional wings with hot sauce and Mozzarella Sticks for appetizers and waited at least 40 minutes for them. When the wings came out, they were breaded and no sauce on them! So we asked for the hot sauce and waited another 15 minutes for that! By the time we got the sauce, the wings were cold. For dinner, our friends ordered a pizza and my SO and I orders the Italian Beef and Spaghetti and Meatballs. The pizza came out relatively quickly. As for the beef and spaghetti, another 40 minutes go by and we're still waiting. Our food FINALLY comes out after our friends are done with their pizza and both items are ice cold and my meatballs were still raw in the middle. Couldn't really blame the waitress as she kept apologizing for the delay. But management? They don't care and don't want to be bothered. read more

Not impressed. I'm about 90% sure 80+% of the food comes in Frozen in boxes. Thrown in the deep fryer or oven and sent out to the table. The pizza is decent. Been a little disappointed in everything else I've ordered. So pizza ok the rest skip, buy it in the freezer isle of Costco The nights they have bands order take out. It get so loud you can't even think. I enjoy live music a lot. This place is just to small for what they are trying to do. read more

What a bummer....$17 for a pizza that was supposed to be thin crust, but wasn't, was burnt, and for which I paid $1.99 for a minimal amount of sausage and $1.99 for garlic that's missing. Pretty nice place. We went there on a Friday night. Parking was a little full, but we got a spot in the nearby free garage. While the place had a lot of people, there were still open tables so we were seated immediately. The plastic tablecloth was sticky, and the table was uneven. Not a good start. We ordered the special pizza ("special" wasn't defined in the menu, which was odd). I couldn't believe it took over an hour to get a medium thin crust pizza. The server just told use there were 3 orders ahead of us, and the delivery orders. A couple who came in 20 minutes after us were served at the same time. They had an acoustic band playing during dinner, which was nice. Kid friendly place with video games and a photo booth. They have a single set of doors (they have room to add a second set) do every time someone came in a cold breeze headed our way. Back to the food - I thought it was good, but my wife thought the pizza was too salty. Pretty decent pizza as far as I was concerned. Then it took way too long to pay the bill. At one point the server took 5 min to get the sound man a drink instead of picking up our check. I'm torn on this place. Cool looking neighborhood place with decent food, but not worth the time (it took us 1 1/2 hours for what should have been a 45 min meal). We really prefer Nick's Pizza. read more

This is the 3rd and last time I'll be coming to Danny's. First time on the patio was good food and good service. Second was for pick up and pizza was good although a bit slow. This time my order was wrong. The mostacoli was supposed to be with meat sauce and it tasted like chef boyardee with no meat. The majority of the staff walked around with no masks. Our family visited Danny's last night because we know the lead singer in Friday Jackson. This duet is wonderful together and we all had a Great time. We had 18 people in our party and fortunately we were able to sit right up front. Our server Danielle was so nice and provided us with Outstanding service. We had company over yesterday and ordered 2 pizzas from Danny's. When it came everyone was starving. I dished everything out and everyone dug in. The kids refused to eat the large thin crust cheese pizza and said it didn't taste good. I dug right in on the XL stuffed sausage, green pepper and onion. The top crust was not fully baked and tasted raw. We threw it out and I've been stewing about it ever since. This is not the Danny's I remember. This was the worst pizza I've ever had. There is no way I'm ever going back! Nobody cares. But I care enough to write this and publicly admonish this restaurant. No More Danny's for this family. read more

Passed by this so many times so finally stopped in to get a gift card for someone. After my experience with their food I feel I need to send them an apology card. Loved the atmosphere and decided to come by the following Friday with a few people. The food was terrible!!! I had chicken Parmesan sandwich - it wasn't good, very dry. A friend had the fried chicken wings. They came out soooo over cooked they were dark brown; almost black. Another friend had the calzone - didn't care for that either. Nothing tasted good. I left hungry. The band was suppose to start at 8 and didn't get started until 8:45. They failed their sound check I'll tell ya that much. So much static, and bass I didn't understand the words she was singing. Now I know why a place with tons of seating wasn't even half full on a Friday night. I had been looking forward to coming here all week! We walked in (2 of us) and while there was a band playing, the place wasn't very busy. The hostess finally sat us after counting tables and debating where to out us. Our waiter came and took our drink order. 10 minutes later, a different server brought us our drink that were warm and had no ice and said she'd be right back in a second. 20 minutes later after trying to get the attention of our 1st and 2nd serve, we walked out. I used to love the pizza, till i worked there as a cook. They make the dough in the basement just feet away from where they also work on greasy car engines and change tires. The place is cop owned so they keep getting away with the sanitation laws. There are cockroaches everywhere in the kitchen and in the food ( just watch the top of the bar sometime as babies scurry along ) and the mouse infestation is beyond belief ! Dead mice in the walls and ceiling rafters, you can see them in the light fixtures, and droppings all over the whole restaurant. And the owner belittles all of the employees ( at times when employees family is there for dinning/visits ) and tells them they should pay him to work there. The owner is majorly obese and has the employees leave work to pickup his lunch/dinner/coffee for a mere couple bucks of compensation. All around, my pity goes out to anyone working there just trying to pay their bills. read more

Very disappointed with my recent visit, so much so that I'm writing this review from the parking lot. It has been a very long time since I've been to Danny's and decided to stop in on a whim with my son. Walking in, the atmosphere was as I remembered, minus the late night bar patrons and karaoke. We were seated, the waitress took our order and that's when the trouble began. We ordered garlic bread, a bbq sandwich, mostaccioli and a root beer float. The waitress smiled and left. About 10min later, she came by to check on us. I reminded her of our appetizer and drink. She absentmindedly said, oh yea, it's really busy, sorry. It'll be out in just a minute. 10minutes later, she returned with our bread. Again, she asked if we needed anything, I told her marinara sauce and our drink. Again she dashed off. 5min later, she returned with our drink and sauce. She made a little joke about the float and said our food would be out in a minute. The garlic bread was somehow very dry even with cheese and sauce. My son was having a hard time with his float and I realized he needed a straw. We waited another 10min, didn't see our waitress. I had to flag down another to grab him a straw. At this point, our appetizer is done and we are more than ready for our entrees that we're promised over 20min before. I see our waitress walking from another table. I stared her down hoping she would give us and update and/or appear with our food, but no. That didn't happen. She walked into the back. 5minutes later, she came out with our food (that looked like it had been microwaved). She looked apologetic, as she had during our entire meal. She said, 'sorry, you came during the dinner rush' I thought..umm yea. We wanted dinner and it's dinner time. At this point I am completely fed up and just want to pay and leave. I ask her before she rushes off for the check and to go boxes, she says sure and disappears. Not even a minute goes by before another waitress brings me my check. I give her my card to pay. Soo my thought is since another waitress is bringing my check, maybe my waitress is grabbing boxes. No, lol. My original waitress never returned and I had to ask someone else to bring a box. I liked Danny's because the pizza is so cheesy. The only thing is that you have to eat it hot. When it starts getting cold something strange starts happening with the cheese and I am a person that will eat cold pizza out of the fridge but not Danny's. I gave them one star because the last time I was there for carry out the kitchen staff, the cashier nor the one customer in front of me were wearing mask despite the mandatory mask law. I even heard the cashier tell the customer in front of me about a customer that "freaked" out because they were wearing mask and called the police. I guess that didn't matter because they still weren't wearing any. The cashier did put a mask on when I walked up to pick up my order which I should've asked for a refund. No worries! I haven't been back since. My question is that if they aren't willing to follow the cook's aren't willing to follow mask mandates or are they following proper sanitation regulations? Bye Danny's! You gotta be pretty wasted for someone to tell you're high over the phone. "Oh man - suddenly I'm so hot. Gotta fan myself - hold on!" The restaurant itself is in an industrial brick building that has been nicely renovated to an eatery by both the current and previous occupants. The very clean eat in area is large and includes a full bar, a stage for bands/karaoke, and ample seating. There is a small outdoor patio with several picnic tables and a small fenced in yard area below. The lone negative, if there is one, is that the patio also serves as the walk way to the carry out area. This is because you do not go into the main restaurant to pick up carry out orders but instead go to the back of the house and enter through a door on the patio. Menu - 5.5/10: The menu is quite extensive for a pizza place but includes all the familiar items offered by most pizza joints such as fried apps galore and sandwiches of all kinds including beefs, homemade meatball, and grinders. Additionally, they offer fried chicken, ribs, and pasta entrees for those looking for non-pizza place options. The main issue is that the website and paper menus are always different in their pricing and I understand that "prices are subject to change without notice" but the bigger issue is we are rarely if ever charged what either states for menu items. While the costs are not over market they are always above what either the web or paper menu lists. Service - 6.5/10: The service is usually friendly and helpful. Phones are answered quickly and orders are taken both efficiently and with a pleasant demeanor. Wait staff in the restaurant continues with the same responsive and attentiveness that you experience during carryout or delivery. Food - 7.5/10: The pizza at Danny's is awesome. This is arguably my favorite thin crust anywhere for my taste. The reason is the pizzas are loaded with cheese. Danny's has its own blend of cheeses and they apply it very generously. The toppings are very evenly spread and the amounts of toppings are in proportion to the overall pizza. The sauce is done very well also with a nice mix of spice and sweetness. I only wish some options such as mushrooms were not canned but fresh like most of the rest of the toppings. Moreover, each pizza comes with either a free 1 liter or 2 liter depending on size. The remaining food options vary from great to mediocre with the standouts for us being the fiery poppers app, the beef which includes several ways to make a combo, and the meatball sub. The salads and pastas are alright but can be very costly if they are not a nightly special. No matter what you choose be prepared because the portions are all large, which is great if you want to share or have a second meal. Most prices are reasonable throughout the menu and if you are able to take advantage of any specials, they can be a great value. Just be prepared for inconsistency in menu and applied charges. Drinks - 7/10: The in restaurant options include the bar area that offers mixers, beers, wine and soft drinks. Prices are very reasonable and there are always monthly specials. Take out options include the liters of pop, which are complimentary with any pizza. Overall Experience - 7.5/10: I really enjoy the pizza and most of the menu at Danny's and have done so for years. The location is a double edge sword for me though. This is due to the fact that the new location is a much longer drive for me to get my Danny's fix, especially when choosing carryout. But in the end, I think that the concept of offering dine in pizza is awesome because not only is it a dying restaurant style but the pizza just tastes so much better right out of the oven. read more

For you Veggie Lovers: I so enjoy the fresh Sun Dried Tomatoes, Spinach and fresh Clove Garlic pizza. This is addictive pizza! For you meat lovers you just request their Sausage as a topping. It's made from their secret family recipe and is unlike any pizza sausage I have ever had. Thank me now! The pizza sauce is unlike anything I've had before. A perfect balance. It complements the freshly made pizza crust and wonderfully blended skim milk mozzarella cheese. No wonder they have won numerous awards for their pizzas! If you haven't tried their BBQ Ribs you have no idea what you are missing. It is so tender the meat falls off the bone. The sauce perfectly Carmelized BBQ sauce---tangy and sweet! It comes with homemade coleslaw to die for with perfectly crispy French Fries. Please treat yourself! The bar is stocked with premium top-shelf liquor and us staffed with expert bartenders. Review based on service and all you can eat pasta: I went here with a co-worker for lunch. The website stated they had "all you can eat pasta (spaghetti or mostaccioli) for $7.99. When we got there, we were told that it is only spaghetti. We went ahead and took it, after a crucial 30 minutes of waiting (catering order in front of our order) we received our spaghetti dishes. First off, I'm disappointed it was only spaghetti as a choice (false advertising), second I think waitress could have been informative and advised us how long it was going to take. This was at 12:30pm on a Wednesday with 3 people at the bar, eating finger food. Quality of food: HORRIBLE! Pasta was submerged with water. I mixed it around which was a bad idea because sauce mixed with pasta water. The sauce seemed and tasted like the kind you get out of a chef boyardi can, no spices...nothing. I'm expecting something made by the restaurant/bar. Not something out of a $.05 cent can. The tiny pieces of beef weren't even worth it. The beef tasted like it came from a tv dinner. The texture didn't even make me believe I was eating real meat, it was bad. The best tasting thing, was their bread and butter...How sad. Please, make sure your strain the spaghetti before putting it on the plate. I could have bade better sauce with water and ketchup. Quality of food spaghetti was poor, not pleased! Service: Waitress was okay. One thing is I think waitress corks have told us about the wait for the pasta. I mean it's lunch time, work people are out on lunch for roughly an hour, providing ETA on food being ready is helpful and courteous for customer to know. She did apologize on the wait, which was nice. I think she could have been more proactive than reactive. Only when sensed something was wrong did waitress start acting a little nicer than previously was. If I come back, it's to try their pizza. Never ordering pasta here again.
