Went here after lunch and there was still a decent variety of donuts to choose from. I went with the cinnamon roll which was big in size and so the three dollar price, give or take, was justified. It didn't need to be warmed up and tasted fine as is. Even after being on display for the entire morning, it managed not to dry out. And it was still good the next day, and the day after that. Yes, it was so big I couldn't eat it all in one sitting but also, I wanted something to look forward to for breakfast. Would definitely return here when visiting LA again. read more

I stopped in here because it was the only place close by that was open before 5AM. The people working there were very friendly. The place looked clean and wasn't run down like some other donut shops tend to be. I got a chocolate chip muffin and a chocolate old fashioned donut and both were incredibly delicious. I had a little leftover of each item and both still tasted great next day. I've been craving more ever since. Definitely planning to go back soon. read more

The service was amazing. I got a breakfast sandwich and a doughnut for only seven dollars can't get better than that. I was a little worried about the breakfast sandwich because I had the last one and I had came a little late (around noon for breakfast) but it was actually really good. The croissant is big and flaky. The cheese is melting and gooey bacon crispy and to be honest I didn't even ask for the turkey, (maybe cause it was the last one) but I love me some meat so no complaints here Ps to the review on here of the regular who had one off sandwich after coming frequently and wrote a 3 star review when every other sandwich was perfect, I came here directly in spite of you, you're a pos. Clean, very kind and friendly, good parking (about 30-40 spots in a strip mall), easy driving access, offer a variety of food and drinks, and even have three 2-person tables. However, only non-dairy creamer. They do charge 50¢ for credit transactions, but as a small business with transactions that are typically under $10, we customers should be understanding because they get charged a surcharge plus a percentage for every transaction. (Example: Clover charges 2.968% to 2.9968% plus 25¢ per transaction. So, on a $10.00 transaction, that would be 51¢-55¢, which would cause them to lose money. And the smaller the transaction, the higher percentage of money they lose on the transaction.) So, their surcharge is very generous. I arrived at 4:30 AM on a Wednesday, and the food items I ordered were already cold/room temperature, so that was disappointing. Then again, I've just come back from holiday in London, UK, where we were able to get freshly baked goods every morning, so maybe my expectations have become a little skewed. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant that must've been cold because they put it in the microwave. I really don't liked microwaved food, but I also didn't want it cold, so I just let them do their thing without protesting. I ended up regretting it. Thankfully, the microwave didn't make the bacon go limp, which I absolutely cannot stand. The bacon was still crispy, so that was great. The croissant looked like it was originally fluffy and had many layers, but the microwave removed all the air between the layers and mushed them together with steam from the other heated food items in the dish (egg, bacon, and cheese). I am not sure what kind of cheese they used on it. I think it was supposed to be Swiss. It was some kind of white cheese, but I'm really not sure. It did not have much flavor, just a bit of a tasteless melted cheese texture. Not gross at all, but also not at all not noticeable--extra calories without any flavor benefit. This dish ended up being very bland and pretty much flavorless, and that's saying a whole lot because I **really** like bland food!! The bacon was pretty darn good, though: it stayed crispy despite the microwave. Maybe they didn't use real butter on the croissant when they made the sandwich. That would make sense since they don't offer real creamer, and that would explain the lack of flavor. I do not patronize stores/shops/restaurants that are too cheap to offer real dairy products. I do understand it's a cost issue, and since I've never owned or managed a restaurant or donut shop, I do not understand all the pressures of it nor the thin profit margin they probably run on. However, I would much rather pay more and get real flavor from real dairy products. Again, I don't know whether they use real butter or not, but it didn't taste like it-- or if they did, it was not very much. The maple bar was OK. It was not as sweet and flavorful as I had expected it would be. I don't know why that is. Also, it was room temperature/cool/cold. Seeing that I started eating it at about 4:30 in the morning, I couldn't understand why it was so cold. Maybe they have a lot of drafts in their kitchen or, more likely, I just don't understand what goes into running a donut shop and why the donuts would be that cold at only 4:30 in the morning, but again, it was very disappointing. The coffee tasted pretty good. It was smooth until almost the last drop. They do offer hazelnut, vanilla, and plain non-dairy creamer. I used the hazelnut creamer, which covers a multitude of sins in coffee, but again the coffee was fine, even good, to me. But I won't be coming back here based on the coffee alone, especially since they do not offer real dairy creamer. While I was here for about 45 minutes, numerous people came in and patronized the shop. Everybody was polite to one another, and the shop owners treated everyone with kindness and respect. That certainly means a lot! As you know, some shop owners do not treat people with respect. These owners are very kind! Bottom line: this donut shop is probably a great place to stop on your way to work for a daily or occasional donut stop. However, I came here to give myself a special treat, and, honestly, I was rather disappointed. However, based on the numerous people who patronized the donut shop while I was here, I am clearly in the minority. And I am glad about this because the shop owners are so nice. So why did I give them three stars if I did not really care for the food? They are kind, clean, in a safe location with lots of parking, and offer a wide variety of food and drink plus you can use credit here. read more

Where can I pick up donuts at 5:30 am?? Helping a friend set up a garage sale. Driving on PCH wondering where to pick up donuts. Thanks to Yelp, I was able to find this great place! Ordered a mix which Included jelly filled, bear claw type, strawberry or pineapple & cream cheese filled, plus the usual glazed, maple & choc glazed donuts. They also had bagels ( probably not house made). On a side note, they had egg roll ( beef & veggie), which were really good too. She said people order larger quantities for parties. Well, the donuts were great! Not too greasy so the oil temp was just right. The crew really liked the egg rolls as well. AND the lady helped me to the car (4 boxes were a little too much for me to handle). PCH is a VERY busy street so business must be fairly brisk. With 4-1/2 stars on yelp, this place is a winner. If memory serves me correctly, she said they open at 4am daily. 5 am on Sunday. Will gladly swing by to pick up some goodies next time I'm in the area. read more

The donuts here are always fresh and there's always a decent selection available. They have tons of other items such as cookies, muffins, ramen cups, boba drinks, etc. My favorites here though, are the croissant sandwiches (both breakfast and lunch are delicious). The croissants are always fresh and fluffy, and unlike a lot of other shops, you can still get lucky and snag one even though it's later in the day. I usually get a bag of Takis to go with it, and they have a pretty good variety of drinks to choose from. My go-to is the iced coffee. The workers are always very fast and friendly, and you can tell they genuinely appreciate your business. I love stopping in here whenever I'm in the neighborhood! read more

I was in the area and yelped the closest donut shop and found this gem. Love this donut shop! I'm now a regular. I come here for ice coffee and donuts often and it sure does hit the spot. The crossiont sandwiches are also amazing for a very good price, I usually get the turkey sandwich. This place is always clean and have a couple tables and seats you can chill at while your grubbing on your food. The lady that works here is super sweet and always makes me feel welcomed. Danny's Donuts really has a lot to offer. More than I think you would expect from the small donut establishment. They have delicious Boba teas and egg sandwiches on croissant roll which is served all day. I don't partake myself, but they conveniently cell lottery tickets as well. They also have an ATM. Went here around noon on National Doughnut Day (which must have been a surprise to all the local vendors... the event, not my visit) and found that they still had a small but decent selection. Nothing crazy, but a little bit of a twist on some classic flavors along with the classics we all know and love. Friendly staff, gave me good service and a big smile. Prices are pretty decent, half dozen doughnuts for $5. Though I didn't get any filled or fritter styles (they did have them), so I don't know how much more they are per each. We didn't try the egg rolls but I have read that they are pretty tasty, may have to try that next time.... when is National Egg Roll Day? read more

Great place! The two gals helped me out, I needed donuts for an early morning meeting and they were the only place open...despite the hours on here saying 5am, I was there at 430am and they were open and very friendly...I waited a bit because the credit card machine ran out of paper so they gave me my coffee free of cost. Price is nice and the old fashioned donuts were amazing and very fresh...I'll definitely be back...beats all the other joints that are always cash only, who carried cash at that hour, better question, who wants to go get cash at that time in the morning... read more

Been to many mom and pop donut shops around socal but this one is fantastic!!! The people really make you feel welcome from the moment you set foot in the door till the time you leave. The donuts were baked very well. They were moist and just melted in my mouth, couldn't ask for a better donut. I'm a big fan of their bear claws and maple long johns. I also found out that this donut shop sells EGG ROLLS!!! My friend had told me they sold egg rolls here so I bought one to try...... needless to say it was AMAZING!!!
