Beware of the spring rolls - they are NOT vegetarian (like in almost every other restaurant). They have SHRIMP in them. My mother, who is seriously allergic to shellfish, ordered a spring roll and learned the hard way. I called the restaurant to let them know, and they literally could not have cared any less. What a concept. A chinese takeout that is clean, friendly and hosted by teenage american girls that take the orders at the counter. A big plus was the dance music playing through out the store while we waited for our takeout in the extra large dining area. Food was quick, excellent and priced accordingly. First time ordering from Danny's and we were extremely impressed. Our order... Egg Drop/Wonton Soup - wontons were freshly made, big, meaty and full of flavor. Broth was divine. We just wish we could have had the broth in a separate container because the massive wontons left little room for it. Roast Pork App - Tender moist lean thin-sliced. Loved it. A cut above. Shrimp w/string beans (Garlic Sauce) Shrimp were tender and fresh. String beans could have been a little less cooked but with delivery they often continue to cook in container. Delicious flavor. Salmon with Pea Pods (Ginger Scallion Sauce). The ginger scallion sauce was heavier than we are used to but the flavor was unique and superb. Vegetables in the dish were fresh and snappy and the salmon was perfectly cooked. Vegetable Zoodles Lo Mein - I make zoodles. These were far better than mine and any I've ever tasted. They were truly amazing with julienned bamboo shoots carrots and other veggies. I would love to watch them make it one day and learn this mastery. New Kanda in Bellmore had been out go-to for delivery but we feel the quality and flavor of this food at Danny's surpassed by a large margin. read more

Went in yesterday because my normal take out was on vacation. That was my mistake. Tried it a few years ago and wasn't impressed. So I decided to make it simple. Unfortunately simple was poor and poorer. I ordered an egg roll for starters and it was like eating the toilet paper roll except the toilet paper roll would be softer. Then I got chicken with snow pea pods. Fair at best. There were very few snow pea pods, much more water chestnuts which were hard, not crunchy and overall not a lot of taste. I was surprised to see 10 people working there when the place I go to has 2-3 at most and their food is much better. I couldn't figure out why they had so many people when a lot was duplicate. This is quite possibly the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I had super high hopes reading some of these reviews, but I can't trust these at all. The food literally had no flavor to the point I actually thought I had COVID. I ordered sesame chicken which was 75% breading and 25% chicken. That had some flavor. The lo mein and fried rice were tasteless. The vegetable spring roll was soggy and SOAKED in oil. I tried the pastrami egg roll and the Philly cheesesteak egg roll. Both really oily. The pastrami one literally tasted of just caraway seeds. The Philly cheesesteak egg roll seemed like it had low tier meat. Obviously the concept of the egg rolls are there, but the execution is not. If I could take the stuff inside a Disney World spring roll and put it in the egg roll wrapper, it'd be great. These however were not worth the price. None of this food was worth the price. This was by far, the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life! I've been there before, and I was on the fence, and then today it just confirmed that I will never go back again. I literally just picked it up and tried a bite, and I had to write this immediately because I was so shocked at how awful it was! The chicken didn't taste like chicken nor did it have the consistency of chicken. The brown sauce is awful! The beef doesn't taste like beef! The Mei fun was dry and clumped together. I question whether it was made multiple days ago! I will be throwing everything that I bought in the garbage. Terrible food! Delivery took over an hour... Wild charging 9.50 for 3 small micro bites of salmon. 98% of the dish was broccoli. i could've gotten an entire fish at the store w that price. Noticed the past 3 times we have ordered they do not clean their shrimp .... had little pieces of poop in my shrimp & broccoli w a dirt-like taste. Dumplings were greasy& equivalent to drinking a large glass of straight oil. Food was cold. Sesame noodles bland. I paid for Two 20 ounce bottles of sprite bc i didn't want a small can but didn't want the giant 2 liter either. This is a place that can be good if they wanted to be. Unfortunately they try to save money by hiring kids to answer the phone to take the orders. The relay of information to the cooks gets lost in translation. I consistently have simple requests which are steamed dishes with no sauce on the food and please add baby corn to the dish. I don't think that is too much to ask. There has not been a single time where I have not had to have them correct my order. Their meat dumplings are very good and the location is very convenient for me however I am losing my patience with them. Unfortunately most of the better Chinese restaurants in southern Nassau have closed and my alternative choices are limited. Word to other customers...check your order before you leave. read more

Danny's has been our go to Chinese place since we discovered it in December 2018. Love the food and the high quality ingredients. Love the meat dumplings, pastrami rolls, salmon!, won tons, General Tso's chicken and Singapore Mei Fun. We always call our order in and ask for modifications (extra curry powder or hot oil) and the staff make sure we get it. Our order is always ready in less than 20 mins. Tried the new location in Massapequa on their first day and our experience was the same. Great food and great service! Worst chinese food I've ever had, it seems like lately this business has been getting negative reviews, I wonder where its going wrong!! Quality of food is horrible, I ordered a half a chicken with pfr and sesame chicken w. White rice... the chicken tasted and so stiff from all the deep frying it has had ... absolutely disgusting and no edible I through the chicken away, sesame chicken was not sesame chicken, I think the chef forgot the recipe because it seemed like the person making it cut up some old hard chicken chunks and drenched them in flour with no seasoning....absolutely horrible experience!! read more

My boyfriend and I have tried several things from here just within the past week. It's our go-to takeout place. We've had chicken and broccoli, ribs, and sesame chicken. The egg rolls are the best I've ever had. All the rice is good but especially the fried rice. What separates Danny's Kitchen from other Chinese restaurants is that the food is not greasy and over-fried. I'm not saying its necessarily healthy, but for Chinese food-it's as fresh as it gets. The portions and prices are standard. They also have an awesome online ordering system that gives you tons of options and always works. You can specify your order down to the type of sauce you want on your dish. The garlic sauce is my favorite. They'll even deliver to your train stop...which is pretty awesome if you're in a rush. The flavor is great that honestly you don't miss the noodles! They also have whole wheat dumplings (steamed or fried) which are really delicious as well! The food here is consistently fresh and delicious! I've gotten a lot of different items and the taste is never below par. They also have coupons in the local flyer which always helps! The portions are plentiful and the food is cooked quickly, even when orders are flying in. The staff is friendly and helpful when there are questions on menu items. I was underwhelmed with our take-out order. I ordered beef with broccoli. I was disappointed to find no rice was packaged in our order despite the menu specifying that white or brown rice was included with each entrée. The dish itself was greasy and oily. There was a lot of goop. It was unappetizing to look at how the oil separated from their sauce. I also tried some of the pork fried rice as well as citrus flavored chicken (likely a lemon or orange chicken). The pork fried rice was the only item which was good; it had grilled onions and scallions adding flavor. The chicken had a thick fried-dough layer; a couple pieces were nearly half dough and half chicken. Overall, I would be hesitant to order takeout from here again. Chinese is usually quick ...shared general tso chicken and chicken lo mein. It was ok , tasted fresh ..large portions ... The general tso wasn't spicy at all more sweet ... Egg roll was very good ... The service at Danny's is really excellent. My Uber eats driver forgot the drinks I ordered and usually restaurants are not receptive at all when this happens and say to contact Uber.
