Stopped here during our Columbus Ale trail. It was during a buckeye game, and they had a big projector set up for the game which was nice! I ordered a flight of beer and was a little thrown off when they were mostly red and yellow colored. The beers were fruity and tart/sour. The pina colada beer had a weird consistency but had a good flavor. I was not particularly a fan of the beer, however it was good to try some different types here. There was a food tuck outside. We ordered queso and chips, tater tots, and a chicken quesadilla. The queso was delicious and had meat and tomatoes mixed in for more flavor. The tater tots were crispy and paired well with the queso. The quesadilla had plenty of flavorful chicken and cheese. It was paired with a salsa that was a little spicy with a smoked flavor. It's the perfect place to chill out and have a drink. Even though I'm not much of a beer person, my fiancé is and he loves their beer. They do have other options like wine and cider available if beer isn't your thing either. They often have a food truck out front (check their website for the schedule) and it looks like they are working on having a more permanent pizza type joint out back. DankHouse is so far away from me. Too far. They have tasty beers, and often a style that no one else duplicates (which I love) in both their IPAs and their sour/berliners. DankHouse is a pretty neat place. The inside is full of funky artwork painted all over the walls, they always have lots of beer options, and the patio is massive. On this particular occasion, I went for a day of disc golf and flight tastings with some friends. The disc golf course behind the brewery is pretty awesome! You can even take your beer with you while you play. Since I was hanging out for awhile, I decided to do an in-depth review of the beers that I tried while I was there. I got to try so many because my friends and I all ordered differently. Stopped in as this was on our ale trail. This establishment was unique as the decor was industrial, a lot of metal and LED lighting. The brews here were not for me as they all were very hoppy. the food from the establishments out back were delicious. We sampled several varieties, chips and queso, tater tots and a quesadilla. All were delicious. The salsa provided with the quesadilla was my favorite, it had a wonderful Smokey sweet flavor and paired well with the chicken. There was a very nice patio outside wit ha fire pit, and inside they had a large projector for watching the game. The bartender was super helpful and I got the flight with all five of their beers. Each one was super unique but the donut was my favorite! Great space, great beers, lovely service. Loved the outdoor patio which is huge and spacious. There were soooo many beers on tap, they do flights and the staff was very helpful. This is a neat brewery. Stopped here for the ale trail! Very chill environment. The bartenders were really cool. Prices aren't bad. ~$5 for a pint/ 12oz depending on the beer. The blond ale is good, hazy pale ale (purely recreational) was also enjoyable. Overall positive experience with their brews Their outside is what really seals the deal for me. I love this place. It feels like a family-owned brewery, it smells and looks like a small brewery, and they do a great job with what they have. I felt like I was drinking a great craft beer in someone's house with my friends. Great atmosphere, cool decor, and they even have a backyard! I'll have to make it over for Wednesday night cornhole one of these weeks.... A food truck was outside on one of the Sundays I've been there, which I appreciated for a snack (or a full meal if you're in the mood). They haven't had a lot of selection in terms of their own beers on tap, but they always have plenty of guest beers and both times, I've found something tasty of theirs to drink. read more

The hours are spotty like any newer place. I had a good sample of beers. It only has a few house beers on draft. This isn't surprising because they're still new. Maybe when they've been around awhile there will be more. The drafts are about $5 for a pint. A good beer was Super Fantastic. This is an IPA with a slightly hoppy but not bitter taste. It's located at the Forry and Seneca intersection. It's open Wednesdays to Sundays. The parking lot looks bigger than the actual building, but they have outside seating too. read more

Beer is good but this place is ridiculously inconsistent! We checked their hours, drove from Columbus only to find they decided to take a Sunday off. They still had two guys sitting outside selling to go beers...if they can do that then just open. We left & came back the following weekend to the taco stand closed. No TP in ladies restroom, overflowing trash everywhere, glass on ground outside, & the food stand blond lady actually told my hubby to go to McDonald's after they lied about what food was available to order. I was hesitant between 3 and 4 stars, mostly because the brewery only makes IPAs (at least when we were there) and that's not my thing. However, they have a huge selection of great guest beers to make up for any taste. Pricing is pretty normal and they offer different sizes of beers. There's an awesome outdoor area to hang out and there is (what I think was) a kid's play area inside. There wasn't any AC when we were there but they had fans on. I hate leaving poor reviews of local businesses, especially breweries. Have never left a 1 Star before. If you're taking COVID-19 seriously at all don't go here. My husband and I have been working our way through the Columbus always trail book and this is the first brewery we've seen that isn't taking Covid seriously at all. Cannot say enough about DankHouse, but I'll try. 1) The beer is excellent. Truly excellent. They've taken on the "haze crazy" and matched it with the quality. They are easily brewing some of, if not the best, hazies in the Columbus area right now. They tend to have 4-5 of their own beers on draft at any time. And don't worry, if you don't like IPAs, they usually have a nice coffee stout or blonde ale. In addition, they have a great guest tap list that tends to include some sours and other beers. If you're going with someone who doesn't like any of that, I've seen cans of Rhinegeist Bubbles, as well as wine and liquor. Also, their prices are killer. You're never paying more than $5 for one of their beers. 2) The atmosphere is so chill and laid back. You don't have to yell across the table to your company, everyone is there to chill out and have a good evening. They have TVs so you can watch the game, but it's not some loud, distracting environment. The patio is EXCELLENT, a great place to spend a summer evening. There is usually a food truck on site, or, if there's not, you can order from a local establishment. 3) The service and personnel are wonderful. Josh, the head brewer, is always out chatting with guests. Talk about beer with him, the guy knows his stuff. His wife and co-owner, Heather, is similarly wonderful. There is also quite a bit of 'swag items for sale i.e. shirts, coozies, ect. The scene inside makes it kind of a man's-man brewery which is fine. We stopped by DankHouse last night to try out a new brewery. If you are a fan of IPA's then DankHouse is for you. The bartenders had a full bar, but they were quick to greet us and offer any tastings or suggestions. They had a plethora of IPA choices on tap last night. We tried 3 of them and each not only had a good hop aroma but they also had a good hop taste. The regular patrons could not stop talking about the IPA called Super Fantastic. I sampled both the Super Fantastic and A Dose of Vic Secret (IPA), but I settled on a pint of Grass Juice, their DIPA coming in at 8.7% ABV. Everyone in the brewery last night seemed to be having a good time. It was loud inside the brewery which made us speak up to hold a conversation. They had a food truck outside the brewery in case patrons were hungry. If you are in the area and you are a hop head then it is definitely worth the stop to search out DankHouse and order yourself up a pint of hops! read more
