Just goes to show you, you can't believe everything you read in the Trib. I tried the "secret" sandwich (duck liver mousse, pork belly, Swiss cheese, mustard) after reading about it in the Wednesday Food section. Got PLENTY of greens, WAY too much pork belly, and ALMOST enough Swiss cheese and mustard to distract you from the fact that there was (next to) NO mousse. Seriously. The whole point of trying the sandwich and the "star" is not even getting upstaged... the "star", apparently, is valet parking cars in the lot behind the theatre, going through the cup holders for spare change and seeing if there's maybe a bit of a spliff in the ashtray. Complete no-show. So, for what amounted to a greasy ham and cheese you'll get set back $14 (with moderate tip... if you don't get a drink). Or, if you learn from my mistake, you won't.... The food is just ok to be honest. The staff on the other hand...pretty terrible. The chubby brunette woman has the worst attitude I have seen. I sat at the bar and waited a few minutes before having to wave someone down for service. She rolled her eyes and reluctantly took our order. The staff was more interested in their phones and talking amongst each other (having loud completely inappropriate conversations) then providing quality service. If the food was better I might be able to give the service a pass. Save your money and go to potbelly around the corner. read more

I have eaten at Danke both for personal lunch and used them just yesterday for catering. I am so please with how everything turned out! About the same price as crappy Corner Bakery, but great quality and taste. The charcuterie style sandwiches, picked veggies, and chickpea/kale salad was a hit. Everyone was excited and asking where the food was from. It was a really important meeting so I was nervous, but Tegan arrived on time and everything was perfect. She is easy and great to communicate with. My favorite thing to eat for lunch (I haven't tried everything yet) is the grilled cheese sandwich and parsnip soup (sounds strange, but it's tasty and I actually crave it!). Stopped by Danke whilst the Missus and I were visiting the Revival Food Hall. I decided to have the bratwurst which was served with "proprietary cheese whiz" and Ritz crackers. I must say that I quite enjoyed it and would order it again. The service was good and the servers were cordial. My only complaint, and it's not necessarily a big deal, is that $10.95 for a bratwurst is a little high in my opinion. All in all, a very good stop for lunch if you're in the area. read more

I had high hopes for this place given the unique veg jackfruit BBQ sandwich on the menu. The woman taking my order expressed no emotion, even staring back at me blankly when I asked how her day was going. I placed my order and am still amazed that she didn't speak a word to me. Awful service aside, my sandwich was served a few moments later. Went to go grab a seat near the front of Revival and found it was ice cold. Thinking that maybe I simply wasn't used to the preparation, I took a bite. Can't even describe how revolting this was. Everything was cold and the bread was rock solid. I was at a work lunch, otherwise would've taken it back to the counter (not that the "personable" cashier would've been likely to do anything about it). My colleagues even insisted because they could see how sorry this dish looked. Strike this one off your list of places to try in Revival. Sigh. read more

So another solid edition to revival food court. Similar to the fat shallot but a little higher end and frankly hasn't suffered quality fade (MBA for $300 Alex!) Danke is a place doing simple right hot sandwiches with chips. I had the roast beef. Melted provolone was gooey. The horseradish made my nose run and the bread was a quality baguette. My only complaint is the roast beef looked gray, that said the taste was good. The soda and chips were great and the combo was only 3 extra. I will be back to try the smoke turkey. read more

Food is pretty okay, nothing special and definitely items over-priced. Grilled cheese with ham was good but the tomato soup was so greasy. The registers are set to a 15% tip and no one mentions a tip while paying. It's just a comment to "sign here". Be aware. read more

I've had the turkey sandwich from Danke twice now. The second time my bread was pretty burnt and I had to deconstruct some of the sandwich. Other than that the sandwich is perfect it's so fresh and tasty. It's pretty expensive, $12 after tax for just the sandwich, which is why I'm only giving Danke 4 stars. If Danke was less expensive I would eat there way more! read more

Well the sandwiches are really good but the customer service was horrible I had never been here before and went on a busy Friday I had a few questions and the woman at the counter was really rude Stared right through me and acted like I was really nuts until she mumbled something and walked away I stood there waited 10 more minutes she came back I still had the same questions and she was really aggressive towards me It's to bad for that I'll never come to this place again But the sand which was really good! read more

Danke is arguably one of the only places in the entire Revival Food Hall with a vegan option. You'd think a place as diverse as a food hall would have more vegan options, but that's usually not the case. These places only cater to meat eaters, which is probably why my vegan sandwich was not pleasant at all. The bread was super hard and almost inedible, and the vegetables didn't mesh well together or with the bread. Bad food like this should not be allowed on the menu even if it placates a subset of the population. On the contrary, it'll make them even angrier. read more

Today was the first time I tried this place out and the sandwich I chose was the "Secret Sandwich" which consist of Duck Liver Mousse, Sliced Pork Belly, Smoked Pickled Onion, Gruyere, Whole Grain Mustard on a house baguette. So the sandwich is actually not too bad however, I do see why a lot of people complained about the bread. The bread is pretty hard and it did cut the roof of my mouth. But the reason why I gave this only 2 stars is because upon checking out (and I paid with a credit card) without me really paying attention the girl gave herself a 20% tip. I assumed I was just going to sign and all of a sudden after the transaction I realized what she did. I saw it at the last second but I signed so quickly I wasn't able to change it. Don't get me wrong I don't mind tipping BUT give ME the option to make that decision. I think that was so rude and sneaky of her to do that. So the $12 sandwich (which is already expensive) ended up to be over $14 with her tip. (Shaking my head) So sad I don't know if I will go back there.
