Absolutely incredible food and service. Best place to eat in Wisconsin. And not to mention the beautiful ambiance.

Good food, good service. Bakery items are great. If there is a KeyLime pie available it is to die for.

I met my two brothers, Paul and Roger, here for dinner. One is in a wheelchair and the other uses a walker, and on a busy Friday night -- during their fish fry -- they still gave us the large round table so my brothers had room and comfort. That gesture alone meant a lot. What truly stood out, though, was how Greg and the team interacted with them. My brothers have some unique challenges, and the café staff treated them with respect, humor, and complete dignity. Greg joked with them in a way that felt natural and kind, creating an easy, family-like atmosphere. My brothers also had a couple of specific requests that were outside the menu, and the kitchen handled every one without hesitation -- maybe a little friendly ribbing, but always with warmth. The food is good, the portions are decent, and the prices are very reasonable. But what makes Taylor General Café special is the heart behind it. They treat my brothers -- two elderly, wonderful men -- as if they were part of their own family. That is something you can't put a price on. My brothers are regulars here, but I don't live nearby. Still, I will absolutely make this café a stop on every visit. Places like this are rare, and the kindness we were shown will never be forgotten.

If you have taste buds then this place will blow your mind with a changing seasonal menu, wide variety of specialty coffee/non coffee drinks and breakfast food that's a 10/10 every single time. I have been there about a dozen times and am never disappointed. They even offer Gluten-Free baked goods which my wife very much appreciates (Cream puffs on occasion which are my personal favorite). Very quaint atmosphere (rustic) with a tucked away book/game nook in the back perfect for kids while they wait.

Scatterbrain has lots of exterior parking and loads of history in the preserved building which previously operated as a general store. I thought for sure this would be an order at the counter type spot and was pleasantly surprised to learn there is a full serving staff and onsite roasting of coffee beans. Both breakfast and lunch is offered here along with a massive espresso coffee and non coffee drink menu including house made syrups. I enjoy the big variety and uniqueness of every item including the fresh baked goods like monkey bread, pickle salad, in house syrups and ice cream. Bonus: check out the interior gift items from earrings to coffee beans to apparel along with the hidden library nook which is great for kiddos and contains a lovely scrap book outlining the history and remodel of the space.
