I even forgot my to-go box, and she came to the car to bring it to me. This is just a gem of a place if you're interested in a breakfast. I got the croissant sandwich with a medium egg cheese, and the bacon on the side. Ask for your bacon well done. We also tried the 4x4x4, which was a pancake an egg a piece of bacon and a sausage patty. Delicious, and the portions were enormous. The pancake was almost as large as the plate. We stopped by because of the high rating on yelp. We were sadly disappointed. It was a busy Saturday morning, but there appeared to be a lot of staff on, so we were hopeful. We did notice that many of the tables didn't have their food yet, which concerned us. We were seated at the counter because there were no tables available. We figured that would at least put us up front and center so that we couldn't be ignored. Apparently that wasn't the case. We did receive our hot drinks immediately and our order was taken pretty quick, so that was a good start. That's where it went downhill. It took a pretty long time for our food to come. During that time, no one asked if we needed a refill on our drinks or even made eye contact to tell us our food would be coming soon, which was a pretty good art to master considering we were right in front of them. We saw our food come up on the ready counter. We got excited. But then we watched it sit there, under no heat source, for at least 5 min while the waitress busied herself with changing out the coffee pot. I ordered French toast and sausage. My husband ordered the 4x2. My French toast wasn't anywhere near warm and needed to be cut with a knife. My husband could only eat one pancake because they were so large and asked the waitress to toss it (it was in a takeout box) and she opened the box, gave him a look, then called to another waiter, asking if he wanted to share a pancake with her, in a rather disrespectful tone. I honestly couldn't recommend this place to travelers. We eat out a lot, and this just didn't tick enough good boxes for us. read more

First time at this cafe. It has only been open for 4 months. The atmosphere was nice & new & clean. Food was excellent. I had the crispy chicken bacon wrap and my husband had a burger & fries. They use pretzel buns & the fries were cooked to perfection. Service was average but the gal running it was very personable. I noticed the pies were selling very quickly. Best food for miles around. Excellent breakfasts on several different visits while camping in the area. Nothing else even close to the quality of this restaurant here in BRF. We ate at this cafe on our way to Illinois and had best ever meal. It's scrupulously clean and cheery. My husband loved the Mexican omelette and my eggs bacon and pancakes (giant size) were delicious. I heard another customer saying hers was the best patty melt she'd ever had. To the person who left the 1star review, I don't believe you! The food (breakfast) was wonderful; my husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy while my veggie omelette was one of the best I've ever had. I am one of those people who want everything cooked a special way: extra crispy hash browns, extra crispy English muffin, not too many onions in the omelette and the eggs can NOT be crispy on the edges. Everything was cooked to perfection. Coffee was hot and plentiful, but not great. The only complaint I have is, they only serve "creamer" no half and half. Definitely a place we will stop at whenever we are driving through. read more

My family was in town for a wedding and we stopped here for breakfast. Sunnyside Cafe has such a cozy feeling inside. The staff were amazing and friendly. The food tasted SO good! We had the Cinnamon Butter French Toast, Cinnamon Rolls, Biscuits and Gravy, and the 30 pointer. Can't recommend it enough! read more
