Incredibly expensive for what it is, what you get and the service. I was expecting to be wowed. Instead I was severely disappointed. We walked in. Restaurant empty, hostess asks if we have a reservation? I said no. She said oh well let me see what I can do. Really? Honestly nobody in the entire place. She sits us at a teeny tiny two table by an open door and it's freezing. Rained cold outside why? Tons of booths open...well the entire restaurant is open. It's 3:00pm we eat at different times, works out well we usually never have a crowd or wait, my daughter wants a kids menu, more irritation from the hostess why? Eventually I order an $18.00 club sandwich, yes $18.00 (no we're not in Vail) I asked for no tomatoes, extra mayo, my daughter got cheese flatbread pizza on the kids menu. It was so spicy that she couldn't eat it. I had tomatoes, I had to ask for mayo and I asked for hot sauce 3 times. My daughter's drink at 3 dollars wasi included in her kids price that she couldn't eat but he stacked it on top of the bill. This lunch that took 2 hours (no reservations at a tiny table 1 other man and his son came in) totaled $44.00 dollars. I still have a bad taste in my mouth about it. Never again....ever. read more

We live about 20mins away from Danielle's, but stopped in for dinner on our way home from the outlets due to the reviews my husband read on Yelp. We tried the caesar salad, country fried chicken and the chicken Marsala; Honestly, worth every penny! The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and the service was impeccable. I recently was able to visit Danielle's in Castle Pines for dinner. Lets just say i will continue going there in the future. I had the pleasure of talking with Vinny the owner of Danielle's who is such a delight. This place had the feeling of being at home. Family dining with five star quality food. I was able to try the premium pork chop with scalloped potatoes, chicken fried chicken on a bed of mashed potatoes with bourbon gravy, mozzarella ball with grilled butter bread, and muscles flown in from the ocean of Maine. They have a fresh fish market, where each day there is different fish from different costs of the US. The feeling after eating is great because you have eaten a real home style cooked meal. The prices are great because what you pay for is quality. If you are ever out shopping in Castle Rock this is the best place to to stop and end your night. Such a pleasant drive as well. I went to Danielle's with my family on a Wednesday night. Great location. Good service. Not the best experience. I have some candid feedback for the establishment. Perhaps it was bad timing and new restaurant growing pains, but my restaurant experience left a less than satisfied feeling. First impressions are key to developing a repeat customer base. First off, I am not sure how you run out of Cab or Merlot wine when the restaurant just opened. Sure there are alternatives, but not the same. Go to the liquor store if you have to. Have something available. We were warned up front that they were low on a few bottles of wine, but low and behold each time I ordered something, they were out. Menu - The lunch and dinner menus are exactly the same, except for the entrees/sandwiches difference at the bottom. JUST DON"T TRY to order something from the LUNCH menu at dinner. We were promptly corrected that only the dinner menu was being served. Pretty sure you could prepare some of the lunch entrees at dinner. Offer both!!! What is the problem here? I want a chicken sandwich or club sandwich for dinner. OH especially when many of the Dinner entrees were not available (fish, flatbreads, forget what else). Kids Menu - I realize that you might not exactly want kids in the establishment. Well guess what. The restaurant location is in an area where lots of families live. We observed 2-3 other tables with kids when we were there. THERE IS NO KIDs MENU!. Just saying that every other restaurant in the area seems to accommodate kids. A $9 chicken tender appetizer coupled with a $6 side of fries is not my idea of a kid friendly menu. Simply a matter of reducing the portion size and charging less............This is how you get repeat business. If families are not what you are looking for, then good luck! Went here last night for "date night" with my husband. This was our first visit here, and we thought it was great! Great service, and the food was delicious. We had the calamari appetizer, husband got the double boned pork chop, and I had the seafood mac and cheese. The pork chop was really tender and worth every penny. Lots of seafood in the mac and cheese, made it worth the price. Highly recommend this place! read more

We did Sunday breakfast. I got the crabcakes Benedict and a single pancake. She got the brioche breakfast thing, kind of an omelette inside of a brioche bread bowl. Outstanding service, food is very good, medium prices. I ordered one of their bloody Mary specialties but I didn't like it, I love the fact that they were happy to replace it with a drink of equivalent value with no problem whatsoever. From my breakfast perspective, the breakfast menu was somewhat limited with about a dozen dishes or so, but it's a nice restaurant, and I did appreciate the simplicity of a limited menu. So the only items for improvement from my perspective are maybe a few more interesting breakfast items, and maybe earlier access to the lunch menu, apparently it did not start till 12 PM. Has a very nice patio seating that will be good in warm weather. read more

When we walked in there wasn't a host at the host stand. She then noticed people walked in and came over. They were accommodating and asked about seating preferences between booth and tables. The waitress was very attentive at first. We ordered Danielle's Caprese to start. The 'house made Mozzarella' tasted like the $4 chunk you can get at the store. There were 3 slices of tomato, 2 slices of cheese and arugula. For $13 it wasn't that great. We ordered the pesto ravioli and then proceeded to wait for an HOUR for our food. It arrived cold and not done. The waitress had a lot of tables and didn't come to check for more drinks or tell us how long it would be for the food. She was nice enough to take our ravioli off the bill. Won't be going back. read more

Danielle's has been open for a week and I've eaten there three times: Twice for dinner and once for lunch. Each time the staff has been very nice and the food has been excellent. The menu has something for everyone and the prices are reasonable. At lunch I ordered a burger and it was cooked exactly as I requested and served with a huge pile of French fries. The first time I went to dinner I ordered the risotto with short ribs but they were out of it. I had the carbonara and it was wonderful - very traditional. On my second trip I ordered the short rib risotto again and it did not disappoint. My friend ordered the chicken Parmesan and it was also delicious. The wine list is very nice with bottles from California and around the world and quite a few Italian wines. All three meals were great and I'll be eating at Danielle's again! read more

The service was mediocre at best. The hostess was awful and lacked personality. The food was ok for the price point. The restaurant was nearly empty on a Friday night and we were shown why. The owner made a point to come out to tell us how great everything would be- he was full of it. One of the members at our table didn't get his entree until the rest of us were finished with our meals and a drink order was completed forgotten about. We recently found Danielle's, and it has rapidly become a favorite! The drinks are simply amazing, and the expert bartender rotates in new drinks often. If they have the smoked drinks, try one!!!! The appetizers are wonderful as well, and one of our favorites is the rock shrimp. Everything we have tried is worth a revisit though. The atmosphere is also quite comfy. Whether seeking a nice patio atmosphere, or comfy chairs in the bar, there are options. I don't write many reviews, but every once in a while I find a gem like Danielle's! read more

The largest reason for receiving 1 star is the staff. Specifically Debbie, the women at the hostess stand. She is just rude. The first time we came in we had made a reservation but asked when we walked in asked if it was possible to get a booth. Which apparently was the worst question. She continued to lecture us that if we ever want a booth we need to specify that in our reservations. Ok fine, it was more just a question, we didn't realize it was a process here. Second visit we made reservations and requested a booth. On the phone they told us no issues! Great, so we show up and Debbie was just horrible. She claimed we had no reservation. She made my husband show her his phone to prove we even called. She kept telling us it was our fault. We need to be sure we're calling the right place and being specific. That the booths had been claimed for days so she never would have told us we could have one. Everything was accusing us of lying or doing it wrong, because apparently making reservations is hard. Finally we got a table. And she then came over to my husband while we were eating and instructed him that when he calls to make reservations he needs to specifically ask for her or she can't guarantee us a table. It's apparently our job to ensure the staff is doing their jobs. Everything she said was directed to being our fault for the reservation error. The food is good. But with such a rude person greeting you every time you walk in it makes you rethink coming in. It isn't worth the lecture. I've seen other reviews complaining about her. I think it's time the management starts considering a change is she's chasing people away. read more

We wanted to find a place that was near Castle Rock that could provide us a special meal for my wife's birthday. We were with friends and wanted a meal to make the evening special. First we had excellent service from Jessica who was not only a delight to speak with but what is well mannered and understood proper waitstaff etiquette. Next we had an excellent bottle of wine and given some great recommendations as to what order off the menu. All in all though for meals we had were fantastic. The chicken with the white wine sauce was wonderful and the New York trip was phenomenal. The really nice thing about this restaurant is the food with high-quality and made from scratch and it came across in the rich flavor and texture. We've been coming here since they opened a few years ago and this our favorite restaurant in Castle Rock. There isn't anything on the menu that you won't enjoy. Our favorites are: pot roast, pot roast stroganoff, southern fried chicken, and breakfast in bread. The sea bass is cooked to perfection every time and is a nice piece of fish. They make most of their noodles in house for their pastas. Bread and hamburger buns are made in house too! We've been for brunch, lunch, and dinner and never have been disappointed. The standard of fare is significantly higher than anywhere else in Castle Rock. They have fun staff who are welcoming and enjoy their jobs. Good ambience and lighting with a warm feel and generously sized booths. Mouth is watering now... headed to Danielle's. read more
