When the food arrived it was cold and very small portions. The wedge salad a stable at many restaurants was small and the tomato's were overly ripe close to rotten. This place is the real deal. Almost all the pasta is homemade. Eggplant was unreal, chicken dish and chicken Marsala were all delightful. Waitress was so extremely nice friendly and kind. Food was uninspiring. We had an early dinner. There were 6-8 diners at 6:30. Service was unattentive especially considering the place was empty. Upon leaving, it appeared a band was setting up. 3 of us ordered Chicken Parmigiana and Eggplant Parmigiana. No bread was served or offered. All 3 entries were delivered overdone. There was no tomato sauce on the entre. The accompanying spaghetti on all 3 servings had a very light coating of tomato sauce, that could only be described as "dry" due to lack of sauce. The customer service at this place is extremely lacking. We sat outside on deck for dinner. As the waitress put down our entrees, at least two bees were sitting on top of the food. Several were swarming around our drinks and food. One of the people in our party is allergic to bees. When we let the waitress know (how could she not see this), she was like "oh well, we have bees here" and walked away. A good waitress would have suggested maybe moving indoors or at least being sympathetic. When you pay over $30 for an entree, at least maybe offer to get a new entree that didn't have bees sitting on top of it. I understand it's outdoors, but at least warn diners in case anyone is allergic to bees. Manager was useless. When we told him of our concerns, he basically said it's an "act of nature and I can't give free meals for this". Really??? No one was asking for anything free. Obviously, he has no concerns about patrons getting stung by bees. At this establishment, the customer is NOT right. Poor service. Poor management. Danielle's Scratch Kitchen was the perfect venue for our wedding! The owner's professionalism, patience, and thoroughness was absolutely helpful during our year of planning. We were offered several menu options that we were able to customize for our guests. There is a beautiful courtyard right beside the restaurant where the ceremony or reception can be held underneath the trees and their outdoor patio made for a sophisticated cocktail hour. The inside of the restaurant was equally beautiful. We had an intimate dinner served by a friendly and attentive staff and everything turned out delicious! I wanted to take my wife for a nice birthday dinner and, because of the good reviews, we chose Danielle's. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't really great either. The wait staff were friendly and nice. We chose the raspberry jalapeno vodka lemonade and loved it. We shared an arugula fig salad and it was ok. My wife had the lobster mac and cheese and expected it to be better. The Food tasted good for the most part. My guests food was perfect. Had chicken Marsala and the chicken was very tender and flavor was great.For my meal I had chicken Parmesan. The one critique I have is the sauce was bland and not presented well-was not bad however not great either. The actual chicken tasted great. Overall highly recommended. If you like raw chicken, this is the place for you!!!! I ordered chicken parmigiana and it was raw!!! I complained to the waiter that the chicken was raw and it was fibery and crunchy... he took my plate back and I assume the manager brought back the same plate back after they placed it in the oven... chicken was still RAW, but the manager proceeded to tell me that it was cooked and they knew what they were doing.... but it still tasted fibery and raw!!!! The draw here for me was their high ratings, so a friend and I went down to try it. The first issue was letting us stand there for over 5 minutes without even acknowledging we were there. When they finally got around to seating us, by the owner himself, he informed us they were a server short. Don't get me wrong, very nice guy, but with the bartender waiting tables along with the owner, the chef bringing out the food and busing tables and no greeter / seater up front I think they were more than one server short. That being said, we started out with the mussels and rock shrimp appetizers. The rock shrimp was good however the mussels were in a watery broth that could only be described as hot water with crush tomatoes and parsley. Absolutely no taste, I was pulling the mussels (which did not taste fresh) out of the shells and adding salt just to get some flavor. We went with the two most popular dishes according to our server and split them, the fried chicken breast in a bourbon sauce and there lobster seafood Mac and cheese. The chicken was good, sitting on some mediocre mash potatoes and some dry over cooked asparagus. The MAC and cheese was O.K. at best, definitely not worth the price and while it did have chunks of lobster, it didn't taste fresh. While we were having dinner I watch 3 different parties waiting up front over 5+ minutes before even being acknowledged and one party just leave. I'm almost tempted to say they had a different chef because I cannot imagine the high ratings Danielle's has been getting if in fact their food tasted like ours. Since this was our first time I had no past experiences to compare and unfortunately I would not chance it again based on this experience. read more

Went based on friends suggestion. Was pleased with the food (I had 'favorite' chicken, hubby had spaghetti & meatballs) - both were very good and I had plenty for lunch the next day. Wine menu was very minimal and the only Pinot Grigio was very cheap. While service was VERY friendly and warm, I don't think a restaurant should list service as one of its key attributes when the food runner comes out and asks who had what. Get on Opentable Danielles, were an online world, should be quicker and easier to make and refer to dinner rez. We arrived and were handed fixed menus $59pp.. some ppl like that, we do not, and would have liked to have been warned when we made the rez, impression #2. It was Vday... This restaurant has no ambience. The decor is ok, but its bright and very wide open.... not romantic. Dimmed lights and candles on the tables wouldve gone far even just for Vday. #3 Food took awhile but we dont mind waiting if its all worth waiting for. Salads were ok. The burrata app was really a scoop of bland ricotta cheese with parsley on toast points. Cmon. Hubbys tomato/sausg alfredos pasta noodles were so al dente they almost had a crunch..... The pasta didnt even bend, it was stiff. Thats not al dente, thats undercooked. #4 The seafood mac was pretty good. The Cline Zin was great. I just returned to Denver after spending the week in Seattle on business. When in Seattle I usually try to eat Salmon. My wife does not like Salmon so I don't eat it at home. I typically meet my wife Diana at Daniels for a download of our week (date night). Tonight I ordered the grilled Salmon over a Caesar salad basically because I was still in Seattle mode. When I took the first bite I literally stopped our conversation to enjoy the robust fresh flavor and it was at that moment that I realized this was Salmon in Castle Pines not Seattle and it was better ...... I was so impressed that I felt it necessary to inform the owner of my suprise. He introduced himself as Vinny and he was pleased with my comment. Vinnie said that they fly their fresh fish in daily and my wife suggested they advertise that point because consumers watch for those descriptions when ordering. 5 star Salmon all the way..............thanks Daniels. read more

I went to dinner with my mother and had such a wonderful time. Our server was so attentive and the sommelier really nailed our pairings. Since we had such a great time I told my coworkers about it and we decided to have our holiday party there. What a fabulous choice! I ordered the double bone in pork and it was the best pork I've ever had! Thankfully, everyone in my department is pretty close so I got to try a nibble of everything. The duck was up there with the pork and the lasagna was out of this world! The server also mentioned they will be doing a beer and food pairing at the end of January, which I'm definitely planning on attending. To top it all off the owners were just amazing! Danielle ' has been open for a while and when we finally made it in I was truly pleased with both the food and service. Today they got kind of a black eye. I understand that small businesses sometimes need to alter their hours and that is fine, but I called and left a message that we were hoping to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were so excited to have our special occasion dinner at Danielle's and it looked like it was going to be just us and one other table. Our party of six was ready to have a great meal, and we bought a bottle of wine to make things even more special. What could go wrong? I'll tell you what could go wrong, everything we ordered was unavailable because they were out of ingredients. Then the food was way sub-par. Ever have teriyaki salmon with an eyelash on top of it? Me neither, but a member of my party had the honor of trying to convince himself that it was his hair, and not an invisible stranger's in the kitchen. Speaking of invisible strangers, for only having two tables in the restaurant, we rarely saw our waiter, and glasses of water were so empty that they air-dryed on our table. One person at our table ordered an iced tea...one person...and it took 20 minutes to have the iced tea delivered...in a room with two tables. To be fair, the other table had a guy with a really cool cowboy hat on, so maybe they felt like he might have flown off the handle if they didn't provide better service to him and his friends. read more
