Nice selection of bourbon

We visited Danielle's late on a Friday evening. It was a nice change to the always crowded restaurants in Castle Rock. The food is fabulously prepared to order in the scratch kitchen. They have a great wine and cocktail list.

Crème Brûlée
Corey B.

We arrived around 5:30 pm. The restaurant was bright and cheery. A few tables were filled inside and outside. Our waiter, Brian, greeted us, asking if we wanted drinks. We ordered some soft drinks while discussing the menu. I wanted to try the 5 cheese stuffed mushrooms - they were pretty good, with some marinara sauce. We ordered the Cabutto Tenuta La Volta 2017. Brian recommended it since it seemed to be the owner's favorite. It paired well with the Vadouvan Spiced Halibut and Pasta Bolognese - both were delicious. For dessert, we both had the crème brûlée which hit the spot.

Wow! We went and had…read morea blast! We met out with an old coworker and his wife who are relocating to the Monument area. They recently locked in a home so we are very excited. We have been to Scileppi's multiple times and I just checked and no review. So here we go! Love the atmosphere and the old church so very neat and so happy when they expanded they did not ruin the original church. The server we just had from our previous visit! She was awesome again and she is incredibly friendly. We started with ice cold beers and a Chianti for the wine drinker. We also tried the Works pizza! Yummy loved the crust and especially sausage very good... Next time will include the pics doh!

Our booth on the church side was a little cramped. During the online reservation, it asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. I selected anniversary. I did not expect anything elaborate, but a simple acknowledgment would have been nice. There was none. The bread was soft and warm. It was probably the best part of the meal. The rest of the food was just underwhelming. The four seasons salad was okay but not memorable. The crab-stuffed shrimp linguine was also just okay, nothing special. The chicken piccata was overpowered by lemon and had not much flavor. The veal marsala risotto was dry, bland and forgettable. The portions were just right. Service could have been better. It was a little slow and did not feel warm or welcoming. Considering the hype and prices, the experience did not meet our expectations. None of us really enjoyed the meal. For us, it is a one-and-done.

Our food was good across the board but not great and that's not bad. The pricing is reasonable (outside of some drinks/cocktails) and the staff is friendly and responsive. The parking situation sucks but that's the nature of there they are (you will need to remember your license plate to give to the hostess when you walk in) There are a few good Italian choices in Castle rock and this is one of them for sure but I'm not sure it's our first choice. That being said, we will likely be back at some point.

Made a reservation as that's what is recommended on their social media. The bread with olive oil was not bad. Lightweight and not heavy. I decided on the Prince Edward Island Mussels because I've seen them posted on their social media. When they were served, a fishy smell wafted up to me. I don't like that smell. Not a good smell. The mussels themselves were ok. Lack of any taste, even in the sauce. I usually like dunking bread in the sauce but this one didn't taste that good. The server was friendly and very nice. As was the bus person who brought me water. However, I'm not sure I'd eat here again. The dishes are quite pricey. And this meal was meh. Cute place though.

Service was a little slow but they are very nice & the bread they bring to the table is amazing. My fettuccini Alfredo was pretty watery & lacked seasoning & didn't come with a lot of chicken (which was an up charge) although the pasta seemed fresh & has a really nice texture. My husband's calzone was beautifully cooked on the outside but the meats on the inside could've used more cooking as well. Kinda of conflicted on this one.

The prices are quite reasonable. The fried ravioli was good. My wife had the pesto rigatoni, which I really liked. Since it was my first time there I got the "LSR" which is a sampler of lasagne, spaghetti, ravioli. Overall it was good, but I wouldn't order it again. The spaghetti (and I did add the meatball) was homemade and excellent. The lasagne was very enjoyable. The cheese ravioli was meh. I suppose in any trio or sampler, things won't be exactly equal. There is a lot of good looking stuff on the menu...I look forward to going back to try the cheese bread and the sandwich with sausage and meatballs (I forget the name)... And the guy at another table had a calzone that look fantastic...so I need to go back at least twice in the near future

When the delivery driver gave me the food I immediately knew it was missing items. I was missing 2 meals, so I called and pressed 2 to speak to a manager. The female I spoke with did not identify herself, told me I needed to go pick up the missing parts of my order. When I got to Parry's it was very busy. I explained I spoke with a manager and was there to pick up my missing order. The counter staff went and got a man that explained the female I spoke with was NOT a manager and that she should have gotten one instead of handling it. Great. He went and found my order and handed it to me and said thanks and left. Thank goodness I checked it in the car, it was still missing the salad. I had to go inside a second time to get what was missing from my order. When I got home the dressing was incorrect, there was coleslaw on a sandwich I asked for it to not be on and, a meatball sub had a meatball outside of the sandwich that looked as if a bite was taken out of it, I really hope not! I am so frustrated with Parry's, for Not trying to apologize for the inconvenience of having to come pick up my food after having it delivered and incorrect! I'm not asking for the whole meal to be comp'd just a sincere apology would have gone a long way. Yes, I get it that this is a minor inconvenience, but you do order at a restaurant and expect your order to be correct, to get all of it, and get good customer service for what you pay. Doubt I will ever eat at Parry's Castle Rock again.
