I just ordered takeout from Angie's for the first time. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs with an extra meatball and sausage. The sausage was fantastic! I've been wanting to eat here for a while and finally glad I did. I will dine-in soon. The spaghetti and meatballs hooked me. I also liked that it came with homemade garlic bread or a buttered bread. It definitely had substance. I should have taken a pic but my desire to want to try Angie's for the first time overrode that! Ha! It took me over 4 years to try this place. Wish I didn't wait so long. The spaghetti noodles were nice and thick. Not overcooked. I loved the spaghetti sauce. Definitely homemade. Next time I will order extra sausage. I recommend trying Angie's. I like that it's a Mexican and Italian restaurant. Can't wait to dine-in! read more

We stopped by on the way to an event locally. We were seated within a few minutes of walking in. Service was a little slow but they are very nice & the bread they bring to the table is amazing. My fettuccini Alfredo was pretty watery & lacked seasoning & didn't come with a lot of chicken (which was an up charge) although the pasta seemed fresh & has a really nice texture. My husband's calzone was beautifully cooked on the outside but the meats on the inside could've used more cooking as well. Kinda of conflicted on this one. read more

Food is always very good here, whether is Italian or Mexican. I was fortunate enough to have ate there when there was outdoor seating at the classic car night which was awesome. My children were given chalk to draw on the sidewalk having so much fun. Very attentive service as usual, even though we were outside. Cannot wait to dine there again. The ambiance is a classic Italian joint. The service was excellent The music was great...on multiple times we heard folks at other tables singing along (and my wife too). The prices are quite reasonable. The fried ravioli was good. My wife had the pesto rigatoni, which I really liked. Since it was my first time there I got the "LSR" which is a sampler of lasagne, spaghetti, ravioli. Overall it was good, but I wouldn't order it again. The spaghetti (and I did add the meatball) was homemade and excellent. The lasagne was very enjoyable. The cheese ravioli was meh. I suppose in any trio or sampler, things won't be exactly equal. There is a lot of good looking stuff on the menu...I look forward to going back to try the cheese bread and the sandwich with sausage and meatballs (I forget the name)... This is a homey, relaxed, dual kitchen restaurant. I had the mozzarella sticks which were average, the marinara on the side was good. The side salad was good, the lettuce was fresh and crispy and the dressing (ranch) was good. The bread provided with the meal was good. Soft and lightly dusted with garlic and cheese. The lasagna, spaghetti, ravioli plate was good. I really like the flavors in the lasagna. The spaghetti noodles were fresh and (as advertised) appeared to have been made fresh in house. The sauce was fine, but I am exceptionally picky on spaghetti sauce- so most people would probably like it. The ravioli was fine. Raspberry cheesecake was good. Wine list was unimpressive. Ordered take out today and was super excited to try the food, but left feeling super disappointed. I ordered 2 entrees, the calzone had a piece of hair baked into it and we asked for no Italian sausage, but there was still sausage inside. Also ordered a full order of fettuccine and was extremely disappointed with how little pasta I got. (Seemed like a kids portion) The side Caesar salad was probably the worst I've ever had. The dressing tasted sooo bad. Must of been expired. The apple strudel was not good at all. Very sad and disappointed I spent over $65 on food (for my anniversary) to throw most of it away. Although the service was good, I gotta say the meal was less than stellar. I ordered the 'Half & Half', the homemade spaghetti & cheese ravioli. I've eaten here before and have had good luck with items that didn't include spaghetti sauce. So, the spaghetti/bolognese sauce is actually...flavorless. Service is good and staff is friendly. The prices are ridiculous as the food is average at best but the prices are high at around $17 per entree. I had the deluxe burrito (chicken). It was flavorless and small considering the price. My wife had the Italian half and half. Again, rather tasteless and overall bland. Another overpriced entree at $17. The garlic/cheese bread was good but at $10 for a rather small portion it was not worth it. We do not recommend Angie's Restaurant and will not be returning. read more

Pizza lovers! Gotta try this! Our group came here after much recommendation from locals, and they were right! We got in on the early side of lunch rush. Seated quickly. 7 in our group total. The order-time to face-stuffing time was totally fine, we had a big group. I had The Rock pizza, extra crispy and it was amazing! I highly recommend the 12" pizza. Eat 4 slices and a salad (to balance everything out) go back to work and fight falling asleep. Because it's pizza. And pizza is the best major food group out there and they make a good one. Crust was delicious, not very greasy on top and sadly enough, didn't survive the car ride home. Co-workers snacking on my pizza on the way back to work, me eating the remaining slice for dinner in rush hour because I-25 sucks. So if you have a long commute and love pizza, order the bigger size and careful stuff your pizza hole on your drive home. How can you get mad at traffic when you eat good pizza?? The service was absolutely amazing, Mia was great! The ambiance was quaint, "Angie" (April) makes rounds to speak to all the guests. Very nice staff! I thought it odd to be Mexican/Italian. Gave it a "try", we had the chili con queso, the "half and half", "Angie's Deluxe Burrito", and an 8" Pepperoni and Canadian Bacon. The burrito was very good, the shredded beef was flavorful. The burrito was smothered with half hot, half mild chili. We found the chili to not be as hot as expected. The half and half had thick spaghetti noodles with cheese ravioli and marinara sauce, all of which was tasty. The pizza left a little to be desired. While it was good, pizza can be a tough entree to make. I have had many pizzas that were worse, but it did not meet my expectation. Overall, we were happy with the visit. "Go local"! read more

My husband & I were quickly seated at 5 PM on a Saturday. The staff were lovely from start to finish. Prices were really reasonable & the menu has a large variety of options. I enjoyed all my food which was the mexican combo dish that comes with rice & beans (I got a chicken enchilada & chile rellano) & sopapillas. The flavors on the sauces were great but I wish the chicken in the enchilada was cooked in the sauce since that was the only bit that was kind of dry. The sopapillas were perfect & they give you a good quantity! My husband thought his meatball sandwich with a side of rigatoni was just okay. He wished there was more red sauce on the sandwich leaving it dry. We'll come back to try more of the large menu. read more

My friend and I came here because he was thinking it would be this high end Italian place and we were sadly mistaken. Wouldve been one star if it weren't for out server Mia and the bread they give you before the meal was really good. I was very confused to see that this spot was a Mexican and Italian restaurant. I'd never seen a Mexican Italian fusion restaurant in my life. The atmosphere was ugly, and the decor had a bunch of dusty old radio on the shelves. Just not somewhere i'd prefer to enjoy my meal. The pasta wasn't that good. The meatballs from what my friend said were good. I ordered the guacamole salad out of curiosity and it wasn't good either. This place was also overpriced. I was, originally, told to steer clear of this restaurant by another local as they were not impressed with their food. However, we had company come in from out of town and we decided to give Angie's a try. While we all had something different, (and what a wide variety of choices they have!) everyone was very pleased with their meal. The food was not only flavorful but the portions were extremely generous. Our waitstaff has always been friendly and checks back just the right amount of times. My only complaint is that the place seems a bit grungy. The carpeting is ancient, the tablecloths are old and the furniture was new in 1971. While the aesthetics may be meant to reflect days of yore, that doesn't mean the actual furniture, carpet and table coverings should be from that era. read more

Wow. With an Italian husband, the bar is set very high for Italian dishes. The service was great and the restaurant is clean. Cheese bread is fantastic. Love the marinara sauce. We both loved the soup. Probably one of the best minestrone I've had, but no one can beat mom's recipe. My husband had the half and half with meatballs. The noodles were a little softer than I make, but a perfect Northern Italian style. Growing up with a Chicago family, my go to comfort dish is sausage and peppers. So happy with my choice! Great flavor, perfect al dente noodles, great flavor in the sausage. The tiramisu. Omg. I'm contemplating making the hour drive again for the tiramisu. 10/10 read more

Had a wonderful lunch here the other day with my Dad. The server Tara was training a new hire but really did a great job suggesting dishes and making sure we were taken care of throughout the meal. I really enjoyed the minestrone soup and the chicken parm sandwich. If anyone is looking for a quick, affordable, and delicious lunch in Castle Rock this is the spot. Coupled with the incredible service and hospitality this place wont dissapoint. We went in for dinner and they had "fish and chips special $9.95" written on the white board where the customers walked in. We both told the waitress we wanted the fish and chips special. The dish was mediocre. To quote my husband "If we didn't have all this tartar sauce to smother it in, it would be inedible." When we got the check, it was $15 per plate. My husband said he would not have ordered it had he known it was $15 and not $9.95. I looked at the whiteboard and the special had been erased after we had ordered. I asked the waitress if I was crazy or had the special on the whiteboard been fish and chips for $9.95? She said it had been left over from lunch. It was 7:00 PM. I've visited Angie's several times and there's something beyond the good food that brings my family back. I think it's the warm small town type of restaurant that has something for just about anyone. They're consistently good, always friendly, and they're a place that you can talk over a comfort food type of dinner. Some might call it an old-town establishment. read more

Angie's is a wonderful Italian/Mexican restaurant in Castle Rock. I love to order the half and half Italian dish. Half thick noodle spaghetti and cheese filled ravioli! Order two each of the meatball and sausage. Heaven!! Comes with a small loaf of bread as a great side. This is the best Italian comfort dish in the area! Sauce, pasta and meats are the best! This used to be one of my favorite places for Italian, but it has gone downhill lately. The last few visits I chalked up to a fluke with flavorless meals, but it's clearly a trend. The owners and staff are so nice, but prices have skyrocketed and the Italian is just plain bad. $30+ for 2 meals and no drinks is a lot for the quality you're getting. You know when you're sick and can't taste what you're eating...its like that, but you're not sick. The marinara sauce is almost completely flavorless and they are so stingy with it you're basically just eating plain pasta. I used to love how big the calzones were, but now they are so small its barely a meal. The last time I had the mexican food it was still okay, maybe they should ditch the Italian side of the menu and focus on mexican :) If you're looking for good Italian you'd be better off literally anywhere else. read more

The folks here are great and customer services is always fantastic. The food is about on part with what you can cook at home or from a high grade cafeteria though. You can tell most of what we had is certainly not "made fresh daily" as they claim. One of the most obvious things not made there, was the cheese ravioli. It's most likely Rosina Food Jumbo Round ravioli's. They tasted just like them, or another similar vendor's brand. The spaghetti was pretty bland and tasted like it just had a very plain marinara sauce on it. For the price, I expect better. read more
