Unfortunately for me, my setup is non-compliant with current code specs. Fortunately for me, Al was able to come check it out in person the next day. He was then able to get back to me and upgrade my system, install a new water heater, and take the old one out... all within 72 hours of my original request. Some of the larger companies in the area were a week or more out before even willing to come give me an estimate. Can't say enough positive things about Breyer's. From start to finish it was a friendly, professional, and well done project. If i need a plumber in the future, they'll be my first call.

Called around 8 a.m. after discovering that our gas furnace had stopped firing up overnight. A very polite real-life person answered after just a couple of rings (no prompts or automated options required). She said a technician could come same day between 1 and 4. He arrived at 1:15 and diagnosed the problem quickly, a dying circuit board that was not providing consistent power to the igniter. He quoted the cost of replacing - around $450 but was concerned about replacing such an expensive piece on a furnace that had perhaps already exceeded its life expectancy. It was a honest assessment. My husband and I had been expecting both the heating and a/c to go out for the past few years, based on their age (about 25 yrs) and well-worn condution. He knew some tricks to get the furnace running but it failed again that night, consistent with the nature of the problem. Thankfully, the salesman John - 35 yrs on the job, was scheduled to visit that morning. He helped us explore various options and discussed our needs and requirements. He listened, evaulated and eventually sold us the least expensive model with no pressure to buy the high-end units. Such a pleasant experience! Incredibly, installation was the next day. Mike, 15 yrs with the company, and Andy, with around 5 yrs, worked as a team to install a new furnace, a/c and thermostat. They used drop cloths to cover the floor where they would go in and out with equipment and they swept up any debris they created. They've been bought out/under new ownership now so I'm guessing they used to be great but aren't so much anymore. But, in our servicing experience, there have been issues every single time: *forgot to turn the pipe in the proper draining position so our basement had pooled with water. we were panicking - thinking our water heater was leaking!!! *forgot to turn the gas back on so we were perplexed why our heat wasn't turning back on & had another company come out to tell us that...Indoor Comfort forgot to turn the valve on. I also have issue if your service techs are also sales people. This seems like a conflict of interest. All these service folks have been really friendly but it's important to get it right and not always feel like we're being upsold. When we did get a quote - it was absolutely outrageous -- even though they kindly provided 3 options. It was crazy high compare to other comparable quotes we received from other companies. So, we've since canceled our service agreement & have looked at other companies for our new HVAC+Furnace install needs.
