    We needed a mini-split system to cool our 2400 sq. ft. house during the summer months -- we've been…read morebroiling back here in the woods on hot summer days for years! We made an appointment to get an estimate. A knowledgeable member of the Steele Team arrived on schedule and reviewed our options. A few days later we received the estimate, one that was lower than an earlier estimate we had received from a competitor, and we approved the job. The following week the installation crew arrived and put in the Breeze 33 system, including the air conditioning unit, 8 ducts strategically positioned in bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas, an air handler (installed in the hallway ceiling), and the outdoor unit behind the house. The crew was excellent and got the job done in a single day. They meticulously cleaned up after themselves -- actually, they did better than that, vacuuming the stairway cleaner than it was before they came and repositioning personal items in rooms that might be impacted by falling dust from the drilling. Our experience was great. Now we're set for whatever inferno this summer has in store for us. Highly recommended!

    I called Steele for Warranty Service on my AC unit in July of 2023 after their initial install a…read morecouple years ago. The tech came out and accidentally broke my disconnect so he said he would "put in a ticket" to have someone come out to repair it. The scheduling lady called me a few days later and scheduled a tech to come out to the house and the tech came and replaced the disconnect and left. I then received via email a $175 bill. I called and left a voicemail to inquire with no response the next morning then called again the next day and was told "Tom Jr" would handle but was not there and would call me back to discuss. By this time I decided to have my husband handle this. Tom Jr stated he was charging us $175 for what his technician came out and broke! At no time we're we given a quote for the work or knew what the cost of repair would be - since Steele damaged our property we thought they would do the right thing and repair what they damaged - NOPE - Tom Jr (Steele) called it a "miscommunication" and argued to no end. This was shady dealings and not the way to run a stand up business. In the end, my husband had to fight for what was right and Tom Jr said to "throw out the bill" and hung up on my husband. If you are looking for Customer Service from a Heating and Cooling Business, LOOK ELSEWHERE!! Once you spend your money on a full heating and cooling package like we did, they're done with you.

    I may have spoken to soon. I have to give it more time. I will get back for an update in 7 more…read moredays. Very beyond happy. They repaired a boiler that was installed by another plumber that this plumber has no business touching a toilet seat. They came through even though they knew they were dealing with a customer that was very upset about the previous plumber. Gave a quote, did the job with great addtude and professionalism. Yes I spoke with others at this company at different times, and they all came through dealing with me, the upset customer. Yes I know what I am doing with lots of different ares, but I also know when to shut up and may be in over my head. So thank you one and all at indoor comfort.

    Can't in good conscience recommend Indoor Comfort…read more We were grandfathered into Indoor Comfort's now defunct annual service agreement. They've been bought out/under new ownership now so I'm guessing they used to be great but aren't so much anymore. But, in our servicing experience, there have been issues every single time: *forgot to turn the pipe in the proper draining position so our basement had pooled with water. we were panicking - thinking our water heater was leaking!!! *forgot to turn the gas back on so we were perplexed why our heat wasn't turning back on & had another company come out to tell us that...Indoor Comfort forgot to turn the valve on. I also have issue if your service techs are also sales people. This seems like a conflict of interest. All these service folks have been really friendly but it's important to get it right and not always feel like we're being upsold. When we did get a quote - it was absolutely outrageous -- even though they kindly provided 3 options. It was crazy high compare to other comparable quotes we received from other companies. So, we've since canceled our service agreement & have looked at other companies for our new HVAC+Furnace install needs.
