We signed up for their membership that included annual servicing of our furnace and AC. During the winter furnance inspection, we learned our heat exchange on our 25 yro furnace was cracked. It was inevitable. We knew when we bought our home that we would need a new furnace. They offered us three different options, and we went with the mid price. They quoted us a flat rate up front. Don't waste your time. I called for a routine cleaning and fixing a loose duct. They had to reschedule twice due to other customers having no heat. I asked for a discount due to the 2 times they had to reschedule. They said yes and it was going to be $99. Well the day a young man came he refused to work on it because it was old and he said unsafe. He gave me every song and dance to have me buy a new furnace. I said no I am getting a second opinion. I have had my furnace inspected every year that I have owned this house. Yes it's old but in good working condition. All the burners lit right up, the fan worked, and no dust. So this young pup did nothing. Then they have the balls to try and bill me for $99. read more

I felt I was possibly overcharged for the service that I requested, which was to check on a new noise the boiler was making. Not only did they charge me for the short service visit ($97), but they added on a $105 inspection charge. The total cost was $177 with a $25 off coupon from their website. When I called them to check on the charges they were reported to me that this is their normal billing for my request. Most of the time (20 min) was spent waiting for the technician to hear back from his boss about the charges, while I waited. 5-7 minutes was spent actually looking at the boiler unit. Then, I was asked to sign the bill for the visit that day while the tech was there- he presented to me the signature line only and I did not without see it itemized prior to my signing it. I now regret signing for the (verbally announced) charge without being given the opportunity to discuss the charges first. The person who came out for the service, Corey, was polite and helpful. The way he presented the bill was confusing and I did ask him about it at the time. Reception/scheduling: They were able to put me on the schedule in the afternoon of the day I called at 9 AM so they were able to get me in quickly, which I appreciated. When I talked to others, it appears that $200 may be too much for a short weekday service call with nothing repaired and no parts replaced and nothing wrong with the machine. We were out of heat during the holidays, which I know costs a premium, but had been without heat for 5 days. Corey came out and found the board that needed replacement - which was done. But the board was under warranty and I was charged $89 for them to do paperwork to return the board? That is bad business. I worked for Pyro Heating and Cooling and we never charged for warranty parts!!!! Then this hot blast of instant summer, my air won't kick on. I called Schulz Heating and Cooling and they sent someone out the next day. After diagnosing the problem - Jerry found that the replacement board was wired wrong, which isn't too difficult because it is color coded. I tried to message Trusted regarding this and they told me that they would call me about this on Monday. Today is Wednesday and no call back. BEWARE of Trusted Heating and Cooling!!!! read more

Thank you soooooo much Trusted Heating & Cooling....our furnace had not run all morning...we could feel the house getting colder....so on a recommendation from a friend we called Trusted and it was the best decision ever. Of course while we were on the phone with them our furnace kicked on, but we knew something was wrong still...so they came out within a few hours and fixed us up. Absolutely the worst heating and cooling contractor I've ever dealt with. A 19 k system installed that for 2.5 months would not cool the second floor of our house. Alex the owner wired up part of the system wrong and couldn't diagnose his errors. Lost heat two weekends and he did nothing but swap out parts because of his inability to diagnose himself. Almost every employee had been to my house over a 3 month time. Alex insisted on removing components from the system that I paid for because he said I didn't need them, but stated he didn't owe me money in doing so. I wouldn't have Alex or any other employee from his company in my house. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Trusted Heating and cooling. I will be working with another Rheem contractor in the future because I wouldn't trust the owner to change a furnace filter. read more

Purchased a house in Michigan and moved in July 22. The house needed several things one was hot water heater (love hot showers and endless hot water). I have had three houses and tankless water heaters in each house. They may cost more up front but they save money in the long run since they don't work all day every day keeping the water in the tank hot. I utilized my neighborhood "blue book" for local companies for estimates. I called ten places and in three days I had zero call backs ( not sure what's up with that). I turned to yelp and found several places so I started emailing them. Within an hour had an email response from this company. They were very responsive, talked to Jennifer on the phone about what I wanted and if they serviced the area I lived. After I sent a few pictures to figure out gas line size and location were the tank could be placed scheduled the install. Little nervous since I was not there for the install due to work. The installer called to let me know they arrived and was going to start working. when I got home the area was clean, no mess, I could not even tell they had been in the house working all day!!! Was impressed with this company the responsiveness of the office staff, the work scheduling and timeliness of install, they cleaned up after (WOW) and the price was very competitive to what I have payed previously. Would definitely recommend this company for tankless water heaters and have scheduled annual maintenance on my heating system! read more

A simple inducer motor replacement by Trusted Heating and Cooling has turned into subsequent issues of unignitable burners and uncontrollable furnace by thermostat. They refused to admit their mistakes and hung up on helpless client. The following is the detail of the 3-day unsuccessful repair: Our draft inducer motor stopped in front of our eyes Thursday night. We called Trusted Heating at Hamburg because they carry York motor. A young technician came, did an inspection, and worked on the wiring. He arrived at a diagnosis that the problem was due to our malfunctioning motor, so he replaced it with a new motor from York, which looked different from the original one. After the replacement, 4 of the 5 burners could not light up (there was never such a problem before this), so the technician replaced the ignitor, but the burner problem remained. He then cleaned the gas orifices and burners, which, again, did not help. He lastly turned the gas pressure to the maximum (from 1.9 to 3.5), which ignited the burners finally (temporarily at that time). After he left, we found that the furnace was out of control of our thermostat and kept heating. The only thing we could do was to turn off the furnace manually and call Trusted Heating again. The following day they sent a second technician here, who checked everything only to find a jumper left in the panel/board by the previous technician when he worked on the wiring. This caused the disconnection between the thermostat and the furnace. He also turned the gas pressure from 3.5 back to 1.9 (our original setting), because the furnace was too loud. We did not blame the first technician who had carelessly left the jumper and turned the gas to the maximum, because the only thing we wanted was to have our furnace back to work. We asked why the burners stopped working after the motor replacement, but the second technician did not tell us the reason. We asked if the new motor was not compatible with our furnace, and if there were other problems, he answered no. We also asked what to do if this happened again, he suggested us to call them, and he left. We finally had a warm night's sleep. However, only after this one night, all the 5 burners cannot be ignited, and thermostat has lost control of the furnace again! Seeing the same thing happening once more, we realized the old issues have not been solved at all. Besides, we worry that the jumper might not be the only mistake made by the technician. So, we called Trusted Heating as suggested by the technician. However, they insisted sending the first technician, who had made all the mistakes. Moreover, they asked to recharge us, claiming that the repair was successful, and the issues we are having now were new and unrelated to their work. We did not agree, because the jumper was left by them, and there are obviously other mistakes made, causing problems of the thermostat and burners, which worked perfectly fine before the motor replacement. They could not even justify themselves but hung up on us! We are very unsatisfied with their work and attitude. With holidays around the corner, we have nowhere to go but stay home due to the pandemic. We are also worried about bursting pipes in the upcoming brutal weather. With all the time we spent and the money we paid Trusted Heating, we are left with a broken furnace in a freezing home... Any responsible contractor would accomplish their job, admit their mistakes, and correct them, instead of trying to cover up their mistakes and turning helpless clients away! read more

One of the best companies I've ever dealt with. No BS. My water heater broke and needed to be replaced. They were on site within the hour to review the costs and schedule the replacement the next day. Unfortunately my floor drain was messed up and leaked water into my ceiling (my water heater is on the second floor!) Not crazy damage but the drywall needed to be replaced and the ceiling needed to be dried out. There was nothing they could've done to prevent this but what was awesome was that they took care of setting up the restoration company, the drywall contractor, and a painter and they fixed my entire ceiling on the first floor. This kept me from filing a claim or doing the work myself. In my past experiences contractors never step up or go above and beyond when something goes wrong. This company does. I will never use another company and plan on buying a new AC from them to install this spring. Seriously if you need heating or cooling work use this company they are legit! read more
