Mark installed a second furnace for my large basement. I have to say that of all the team's I had working on this job (plumber, electrician, dry-waller, etc.) Mark was the most professional, courteous, and straight-forward. His bid on the job was very competitive and I was won over by his professionalism and that of his sub-contractor that works closely with him. The only issue I had with him during the installation was a disagreement over a gas pipe that needed to be installed. We worked it out much to my satisfaction. I'd strongly recommend On The Mark for both HVAC installation work and for maintenance and repair (I first had them over to repair a problem with our refrigerator when I purchased our home). I have had them come true my house three different times and their work has been fine and reasonably priced. My biggest complaint is that two of the three times they called me during my appointment window and asked if they could come the next day because they got hung up on a big job. The last time they came out I saw the van circling on my street as if he was lost. I flagged him down and he had been given the wrong address and phone number for me. They restored heat to my house and did it in such a professional way, I actually became a believer. If you ever have been without heat in the middle of winter, you know what I mean when I say I felt helpless. They came in and took care of everything in a short time. I scheduled an appointment with On the Mark in early May 2018 because last summer, my air conditioner wasn't fully cooling the house to the thermostat setting, and I wanted it repaired before it got extremely hot. The service person told me that the AC was fine, and that I needed to vacuum all of my vents and move the furniture out from the return vents, which I did. I was charged $96 for the visit. On the fist 90+ weekend (6/16/18), my thermostat never dropped below 85, even though I followed the directives given. I called Koch and White, who diagnosed a low freon level, added freon to my air conditioner, and charged me $85 total. It is in the 90s today and my AC is working fine. I would not recommend On the Mark for air conditioning servicing. read more

"On The Mark Mechanical" is the decent and ethical business I have encountered. My furnace was broken, and I had a free consultation right after the call. They did not charge a penny, and honestly told me that there is no need to replace with a new one (though my furnace is 12-yr-old). The mechanic even helped find out the issue "the igniter problem" RIGHT AWAY". While other big company (so called serving the area over 75 years), told me 2 days ago that I needed to replace the control board AGAIN (just last year I paid $500 for the control board plus $280 for labor cost) later I found out that Lennox control board just sold from $80-150 on both amazon.com and Ebay. I complained to the "Big Company" and they didn't refund me. Back to "On the Mark Mechnical" , they are very honest business. He told me that "Igniter problem" and didn't even charge me and clearly gave me options, no need to buy new control board, no need to buy new furnace. He even taught me how to "avoid being scammed" . When Mark (the boss) said "I dare not rob money out of people, Im worried that my blessings would be taken away" ......I know that his mind/ company's ethic is being self-monitored. Based on my experience, think twice before choosing local business. I highly recommend "On the Mark Mechanical" . Using Yelp to find an HVAC company, I called to have a whole house humidifier repaired. I chose On the Mark Mechanical and I am very satisfied that I did. Joseph was the technician and he was polite, friendly and did the job quickly and efficiently. He explained that it was simply a filter that needed to be changed and when that was done he even cleaned up after himself. I would highly recommend On the Mark Mechanical Company. read more

Our whole house AC broke down on the weekend. They were the first to answer the phone and have someone come out for a repair on a Sunday. Very quick reply and fast to fix it. The charge for an hour on Sunday was $200, high but I accepted it. The charge for the spare part was outrageous! $245 for a capacitor is a rip off! So overall we are happy to have our AC back running but paid a very high price. read more

If I could I would give it zero stars. I called this company on May 28 for a non-working air conditioner. I was ASKED when the best time was to come out and I scheduled Thursday May 31 at noon. I waiting until 2:00 to call and inquire, and was told that someone was scheduled to still arrive. No one showed. They "close" at 4:00, so I couldn't call to ask if someone was still going to show after 5:00. When I did call, the voicemail was full. It is apparent that the phone number is being forwarded to the cell number of "Leigh". I called first thing Friday morning at 7:50am and was told someone would be out by 2:00pm. Again I waited. I called at 3:30 and no one answered and voicemail was full. After 3 more calls, she finally answered and I was told a "technician was enroute, she would call them to see where they were and have them call me within a few minutes." Never heard a thing. I called at 8:31 this morning to be sure no one shows up at my house, and to ask for the name of the owner. I was told he was "unavailable" and that "yesterday we were really short staffed". I had to tell her it was not yesterday, but last week. I was given no reason for this unprofessional behavior and had to ask again for the name of the owner of the company. She told me "Mark". I had to ask for the last name. Unacceptable business. read more

I would like to compliment Mark and his crew. They did and outstanding job of a failing heating and cooling system in our dental office. From start to finish they were professional, on time and were in and out without any mess or dust as they had to install ceiling vents etc. I highly recommend Mark and his team. read more
