I am so grateful to have found Tony! Problems with my lower back drove me to seek help when I found myself unable to bend or sleep comfortably. I had previously sought care from an orthopedist, several chiropractors, and some acupuncturist. None of those gave me useful treatments that either lasted or addressed the underlying issues with my back pain. I found Tony from the stellar reviews and we got to work. Tony started with the focus on alleviating my lower back pain first. Within weeks, I was able to sleep pain free. By another month, I was able to return to more intensive physical training (BJJ). We then moved on to address the underlying imbalances in my body that was causing the back pain. We had to work through very tight hip flexors, unrecruited glutes, and rounded shoulders. At every step, Tony was very patient with my physical limitations and humored my cyberchondriacs (internet self-diagnosing). As we tackled each new area, I saw immediate improvement week after week. It's been about four months since I started my treatment with Tony and there's been an overhaul to my physique, for the better! If I have any future needs for more body tuning, I would definitely call up Tony again. read more

I went to Tony to help relieve the pain in one of my legs. He pointed out that it was related to other surrounding muscles that I also had past issues with. Shortly after working with him the pain began to fade and my range of motion increased. I asked him to start working on other older problems on the rest my body, and received similar powerful results. Now I live an active life minus all those ailments. Tony's knowledge of muscles, nerve and mind interaction is incredible, and his treatments are extremely effective. I definitely recommend his services to anyone who wants to reverse, and not just merely treat the symptoms of, pain and limited motion. Thank you, Tony. read more

Dr Tony was an absolute joy to work with from the get-go. I came to him with shoulder issues related to my job and he took the time to diagnose the issues, figure out how to address them, but also - and most importantly - explain everything clearly and thoroughly at every step. His approach was very much "teach a man to fish" - his thorough explanations meant that he was5 just giving me tactical things to do to address my problems, but also a holistic understanding of what was going on with my body so I could make smarter choices moving forward to minimize the risk of reinjury. My progress from first session to last was very significant and I now feel well equipped to continue the exercises and lifestyle choices to eliminate my issues entirely. Highly recommended. read more

Dr. Dang provided quality care that really honed in my concerns. He provided a comprehensive evaluation to figure out the root of the issue. But what's most important to me is that I understand. He was great at explaining/teaching me how the problem started, what we need to do for treatment, and how to prevent it from happening again in the future. I can confidently say that he has my best interest at bay when he comes up with a treatment plan. He considers my work demands and lifestyle to help me in reaching obtainable goals. Dr. Dang is a stellar physical therapist. He's extremely knowledgable in the field and his methodology works wonders for me. I went to see Dr. Dang a few weeks ago because both my hands had been hurting. I originally went to see my GP doctor because I started getting dull pain in both my hands. I was given some ibuprofen for inflammation and sent on my way. The ibuprofen dulled my pain, but it didn't fix the issue. I went back to my GP doctor, and he just brushed me off with more ibuprofen. I was frustrated at that point because I had the nagging pain all day long. A friend recommended I see a physical therapist, so I rang up Dr. Dang. Finally, I had found someone that was taking my issue seriously and not just brushing me off. During our appointment Dr. dang was asking me all the important question regarding possible injuries and how I normally use my hands. He was caring, patient, knowledgeable, and he didn't make me feel like he had another patient waiting in line the way a lot of doctors make you feel. Dr. Dang was clear on the type of movements I should avoid and gave me specific hand exercises for my recovery. He also instructed me on how to start strengthening my hands so that I can avoid any further injuries in the future. My hand pain has started to abate, and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm super grateful to Dr. Dang for helping me out. I was starting to think that I was stuck with this pain for good, but thanks to him I know that I will be fine once I'm done with therapy. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Dang for those of you that need a physical therapist. read more

Dr. Dang is a truly gifted practitioner. I have chronic illness and pain issues, and have been in and out of PT throughout my life at various clinics that felt like "factory farm" physical therapy - with limited opportunities for continuity of care or relationship building because it wasn't 1:1 treatment. I almost gave up on thinking PT would work for me, due to my complicated health issues and the lack of lasting results. Meeting Dr. Dang changed EVERYTHING! He was the first PT I've worked with who could correctly identify the actual root of my problems, and was able to explain everything to me in a way that deepened my understanding of my body and, I believe this knowledge helped accelerate my recovery. In addition to being a brilliant PT, he is a genuinely lovely human. His demeanor is so warm and comforting. He's patient, encouraging, compassionate, and comes up with creative solutions to help me make corrections or when I'm struggling with an exercise. I felt incredibly at ease in his care. Patients with chronic health and pain conditions all know how hard it is to find a treatment specialist who combines highly effective treatment protocols with a deeply humanizing bedside manner. Dr. Dang delivers on both! Thank you, Dr. Dang, for giving me relief from my pain, strength moving forward, and hope for the future of my health and comfort. read more

I decided to give Dang PT a chance when I realize this clinic was providing 1v1 treatment sessions with the Physical Therapist. Probably the best decision I have made so far during the pandemic. This clinic follow appropriate health and safety protocols. I had therapy at other clinics nearby for an on going back issue. What makes Dang PT stand out to me is the quality care that he provides each session. At other clinics, I would see the PT for 10-20mins and have different college volunteers watch me do exercises. On my first visit Dr. Dang was able to spend an hour with me during the evaluation and educate me on my posture, impairments and how it contributed to my back pain. Every treatment there after was very hand on and specific to my needs. I was able to see improvement every visit and have regain my confidence to go back to the gym without being fearful on hurting myself. I would highly recommend Dr. Dang, and would come to him again. read more

If you're looking for a physical therapist who understands the body holistically and focuses on cue for what his patients need to get back to what they love doing, look no further. Dang PT's state of the art facility shows he has invested in caring for his patients and community he grew up in. I was treated by Tony for my lower back flare up due to a degenerative disc. He knew exactly what was wrong right away and wasted no time in treating me with the right combination of manual therapy and rehab exercises. I would highly recommend Dang PT to anyone looking for a highly competent physical therapist in the LA area! read more

Sometimes even PT's need physical therapy. As a fellow physical therapist myself, I had a shoulder injury and mobility deficits and needed to find someone other than myself to treat me and get me back to 100%. I knew a lot of PT's but chose Dr. Dang because I knew he was the best of the best. After months of seeing him and being consistent with the variations of home exercise programs he prescribes, I'm at 110%. I've worked with many physical therapists in my field and I can say that Dr. Dang is the most hardworking, honest, and efficient physical therapist I know. read more

I've been going to Dr. Dang for a few years now and I'm so glad he finally has a facility to himself. It feels very clean and modern inside. It makes me feel safe during the uncertain covid-19 times. I've been going to Dr. Dang for my shoulder problems and most recently, for my back because of my non ergonomic wfh setup. He's been helpful as always in alleviating my pains and providing me with useful stretches and exercises . I've referred a few family members to Dr. Dang and would recommended anyone in need of physical therapy. read more

Dr. Dang is an amazing PT! I had been dealing with lower back pain / back spasms for months and could no longer lift weights anymore. I was prescribed painkillers and went to numerous chiropractic appointments, but the pain always came back and I desperately needed a long term solution. I found Dr. Dang through a friend and after 4-5 sessions with him, I am finally able to live pain free and exercise again! Dr. Dang is incredibly kind, caring, and personable. He really takes the time to listen to any issues/concerns and answers any questions that I have. When going over exercises, he gives clear instructions and corrects any form errors to ensure I am working the right muscles. Even the tiniest adjustments make a huge difference. He has helped me understand my body better and I am more mindful of the way that I move and sit now. He not only helps with resolving any current injuries, but also focuses on preventing them in the future so that I can continue living pain free. He has an ability to make each session fun even though it can be challenging at times. I definitely feel stronger now and more confident in getting back into things I used to do. I'm really grateful for Dr. Dang and highly recommend him! He's the best! read more

Our loss in Hollywood is Pasadena's gain.  I mean Olympic size win since Dr Tony is by far the best physical therapist I have ever worked with  - which says a lot since according to my boyfriend I am seriously injury prone. I've worked with physical therapists before but they 1; somehow made my condition worse,   2; didn't have a clue about the underlying reasons of my pain, 3; they had and idea but it was the wrong diagnosis and taught me exercises that were not helpful, 4; gave me home work that was so complicated and convoluted I couldn't follow without their help. Then I was referred to Dr Tony and it all changed.  I have seen him for one short month and I made more headway with him in that short time than with others in a year.  He doesn't only understand how the human body behaves he will explain to you what is happening to you and with that engages your participation in getting yourself well. His work is simply genius and effective, on top of all of this he is warm, kind and has a great sense of humor. I am really said that he moved his practice so far from me so I cannot see him regularly anymore but I am genuinely happy for anyone who will get the benefit of his help in his new practice. We miss you already Dr Tony!!! read more

Discovering Tony, my new Physical Therapist has been a life saver for me. I have been bounced around for numerous years by facility's providing minimal support according to their guidelines. My motivation and hope is back to keep pushing through. I highly recommend Tony...he is fantastic PT! read more

I've been to a half dozen PT's in my day for hyper mobility and nerve damage, and I tend to throw many of them for a loop, so it is amazing to have found such a wise healer in Dr. Dang. I had resigned myself to a mediocre level of engagement with my body, thinking not much was possible given the complicated injuries I had endured, but Dr. Dang made me believe in myself and what I was capable of, taking me through movement patterns and fine-tuning a program to keep me lifting heavy weights and coaching me along the way. I really appreciate his expertise and look forward to continuing to go to him when I inevitably get sidelined again and need to tweak my exercise regimen. Thanks Dr. Dang! read more

I have seen many specialties for my chronic ankle pain. You name it from general practitioners (x-rays, CTs), chiropractors, PTs, and even consulted with an orthopedic surgeon. I've been told the same things, the X-rays look good, it's just wear and tear. I have had chronic ankle pain since my teenage years from basketball and running injuries. Over the years my pain turned into a dull annoyance and after 12 hrs of work I feel stabbing pains. A friend suggested I try PT again and gave me a few recommendations. I've been putting this off because of covid. I didn't want to be too close to someone especially since I knew I would have to work with someone in close proximity. When I made my appointment, I was assured that strict cleaning practices are followed between patients and everyone follows masking measures. I was happy to hear this and I'm glad I finally saw someone for my poor ankles. My first impressions: Cleanliness: very well organized and clean. Professionalism: extremely patient. When I didn't understand an exercise and he would modify it for me and work towards our goal. Respectful and kind. Knowledge: I could tell that the way he did his intake was different and asked a lot of questions I've never been asked by other therapists or doctors. He also told me to get off my pain meds to stop masking my pain which I didn't like but it helped me pay better attention to my body. He is Very thorough and spent a lot of time educating me about small changes I can make every day on top of the exercises he gave me. I've been seeing him a few weeks now and I do notice that my supporting muscles are sore and there's less tension around my ankles. I don't feel the need to reach for my Advil at the end of my work days. He taught me how to use ice/heat and the theragun to alleviate soreness instead. There's hope! I will be taking my mom for her back pain. read more

I saw Dr. Dang for my shoulder. I injured my right shoulder back in high school and never properly rehabbed it. I just assumed my shoulder will heal on its own. Boy was I wrong! My AC joint will occasionally flare up from my week-to-week physical activities. I have seen PTs before, but I would not see any progress from my visits. I came to Dr. Dang for an eval and he educated me on what workouts I can do to prevent flare-ups and what I can do when flare-ups occur. You can tell he cares about his work and patients because he looks for solutions that will help in the long run. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Dang! read more

I had left knee pain and discomfort for over half a year and couldn't get rid of it despite rest, stretches, exercises. Tony was able to root cause the issue immediately that it was because of lack of activation of my glute muscles which put the stress on the knees. He gave me a detailed plan to focus on glute exercises and the pain is slowly going away when I walk down stairs/do leg exercises. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a PT to help with any pain or discomfort! read more

I had a tear in the meniscus of my left knee, due to an accident. After x ray and MRI, my doctor ordered me to go through 6 weeks of physical therapy, twice per week. I was in pain and my leg bothered me during sleep. Tony was great. Over a six week period, he had methodologically put me through a regimen of exercise to improve the strength and stability of my knees. This was coupled with massage of the knee. The consequences are that the pain has almost disappeared and I could go about all of my daily routines without hesitation. Highly recommended. Philip read more

I've been dealing with mid and lower back pain for years now and have tried numerous sources and methods to help alleviate them, but nothing seemed to work. But then I found Dr. Dang, the amount of effort and time he spent to really understand my pain and what it would take to help me was truly outstanding. He's been incredibly thoughtful and through his knowledgeable approach I've been seeing huge improvements to my back pain. Tony's the best! I highly recommend Tony for physical therapy/recovery. He's attentive and listens to all your concerns before applying a solution. I sprained my ankle and couldn't walk nor jump for months. Every time I tried to get back into exercising, my ankle would swell and regress. I contacted Tony and at my first consultation, he identified the issues I had and provided next steps - reassuring I should be able to get back to exercising/kickboxing after his program. In each session, he records the exercises he suggests and gives you those videos - which is extremely helpful and valuable when working on the exercises at home, and you get to keep those exercises in your pocket forever. By the end of the program, not only am I able to walk/hike for miles, but I feel stronger and have increased foot awareness and stability. Thank you so much Tony! read more

Tony pretty much saved my life in short. I called Tony after seeing many pt chiro and medical massages for my years of chronic back pain to no avail. He checked me out and figured out a course of action, patiently explained everything to me. Very smart and logical. After a couple sessions, years of pain is gone and I feel stronger than ever. We then worked my other issues on my neck arm leg and foot and he nailed those 1 by 1 as well. Truly a life saver. Strongly recommend!! read more
