Such a cute shop with coffee and tea options plus the bonus of a plant store too! There were swinging chairs and the cutest decor. There was also a market outside when we went.
Some coffee shops announce themselves the moment you walk in. Dandy Lion does it quietly -- a nondescript exterior on 38th Ave in Park Hill that gives way, once you're through the door, to something genuinely unexpected: hanging swing seats, walls of living plants, morning light filtering through greenery, and the smell of something floral already in the air. Owners Duc Huynh and his wife Dominique moved the concept to Park Hill in 2021 , and what they built here is hard to categorize in the best way. It's a craft coffee shop and boutique plant store in one -- and somehow both sides of that equation feel equally intentional rather than one being an afterthought. The menu leans into lavender lattes, Vietnamese iced coffee, and chai, alongside croissants and breakfast burritos -- a lineup that reflects the shop's AAPI-owned roots and a clear point of view on what coffee can be. The Vietnamese iced coffee in particular earns its reputation: rich, layered, and grounding in a way that a standard cold brew just isn't. The lavender latte is a regular on people's standing orders for good reason. The seating situation is worth noting -- swing chairs and limited spots mean arriving early on weekends pays off. Street parking is the move. Best for solo mornings, slow catch-ups with a friend, or anyone who wants to leave with a new plant and a drink they'll be thinking about on the drive home. Open daily 8am-3pm -- get there before the rush.
Food: I highly recommended Kyoto iced coffee for non calorie, fruity, lavender, butter scotch & pumpkin spice latte for coffee choices. Pastry I recommended Vietnamese pork puff & Parmesan black pepper croissant. Service: Pick a table (I love the swing seat), order at the counter, paid & they will call when your coffee is ready. Atmosphere: Green house sanctuary(with a lot of cute plants & artsy cute curated gifts for sale & their cute merch), Lovely swing chairs & all perfectionist for botanical Hobo like me. Not included all their monthly sound bath & cool pop up activities. Sum up: So far to my personal experiences. I would give 6 stars if I could for Dandy lion. Only downside I can think of is the sometime challenge to find their street parking( Bc this coffee shop is so busy in the Morning) I love their latte art & coffee& iced match(on milky side) & pastries are to perfection. If you love arts, plants, terrarium, green house, mellow Spotify & clean bathroom with no annoying code to get in. This is absolutely the spot for you. Lives in CoS, but I came here every time I visited Denver. It is easy to falling in love with Dandy Lion :)
Finally found an excuse to check out Dandy Lion after it being on my list for a hot minute - what a gem! Check out the attached pictures as my description won't do the space justice. I will say this though: swings. The location itself feels a bit barren, but it is more than made up for inside. One of the more adorable internal setups for a coffeeshop I've come across - and I check out a lot of coffeeshops. Am I bias because I'm also a plant witch? Perhaps. But still. I wasn't hungry so can't speak for any of the food items, though the pastries looked good and I recognized them as coming from a local bakery. Guava bear claw seemed particularly interesting. I tend to gravitate towards seasonal beverages and this was no exception. Went with an iced Hot Honey Latte and although it wasn't as true to flavor as I was expecting, was still tasty. Liked that they had macadamia nut milk as one of their options. Super glad I finally made it here and am looking forward to a return visit!

Absolutely loved Dandy Lion Coffee -- it's such a vibe! This place is equal parts cozy café and plant-filled haven, and it instantly feels like a local gem. There are swings, a greenhouse-style corner, and tons of plants everywhere. It's basically heaven for a plant person like me. I got the cheese and pepper croissant, which was perfectly buttery and flaky, and paired it with one of their coffees which was smooth, balanced, and beautifully made. I also tried the biscotti, which was crisp, flavorful, and perfect for dunking. Everything tasted fresh and intentional. Beyond the food and drinks, there's so much character here -- they sell stickers, local goods, and even moss balls, which I loved. It's the kind of spot you come in for coffee and end up staying just to soak up the space (and maybe buy a plant or two). Definitely one of my new favorite cafés in Denver -- charming, creative, and full of life.
One of my favorite coffee shops ever!! Great ambiance and fantastic place to hang out. Tables and a few swings and plants galore. They even have a small little greenhouse inside. The coffee is super delicious as well, also some of the best I've had! They also sell bonfire burritos. Seating can be limited on a busy weekend day.
Had the Pistachio mocha cold brew which was delicious! First time ordering food here and had the sesame seed bagel toasted with chive cream cheese which was delicious and seems to be made fresh! Will be trying more pastries from the menu! Great vibes and staff as always. Brought a friend with me this time and she enjoyed it as well. She had the Vietnamese Pork Pie which was heated up and looked delicious.
Exceptional collection of both conventional and unusual house plants, crystals, and chachkis - some at a price. The café offered a comp beverage (sparkling lavender lemonade) and we convened in a lovely appointed circle for a spiritual healing session but it was not my jam personally, and there are definitely opportunities for growth and refinement in that experience, but its all new, so I'm confident that offering will improve in time! Check it out.
Such a hidden gem- def don't expect it to be there. So cute inside, like a garden shop! Some fun coffee drinks , great place to work . Bonfire burritos and pastries!

Dandy Lion Coffee is such a cute coffee shop in the suburbs of Denver! It's located sort of in the middle of what feels like a neighborhood, not many other businesses located around it so it sort of just appears out of nowhere and gives it a feel of a hidden gem! Inside, it's gorgeously decorated with tons of different kinds of seating - tables and chairs, couches, even swings! Almost one entire half of the shop is filled with really cute home goods and shelves of plants for you to peruse and purchase! I got a Thai iced tea when I was here and it was delicious and strong! This coffee shop isn't huge and the tables they do have are a bit small, but my friend and I were able to cowork from here for an hour or two on their wifi and it was just such a nice vibe! Dog friendly, great service, and great products!
Loved this coffee shop! It was an unexpected treat to stop in here after a morning run with a friend as she had heard about this place. I don't think I would've ever discovered it as it is kind of tucked away on a side street. I was super happy to see when I walked in that it was a beautiful plant oasis as well as a full coffee shop. They even have a small humidor greenhouse in there with lots of plant species, all for sale! The coffee was so good, I tried a pumpkin spice cold foam Thai tea, which was of course, sweet and delicious. I also tried the green onion scone, I wasn't as impressed with this one. It was a little dry it could've definitely been elevated with the right sauce. I ended up buying a small pitcher plant, a carnivorous plant that is super cool and is now a cute little addition to my collection. Prices are pretty average and what you'd expect I'll definitely be back read more

Nice little coffee shop with plants that i wanted to take my GF. Best of both worlds. Coffee was good we really liked it. Had a few different kinds of brews lol. Not too sweet just perfect. Can walk around looking at all the plants they have to offer for sale among others things like little nick nacks which was cools some swing seating and regular seating read more

The swings, plants, & atmosphere were all super cute and fun! I had a toffee nut latte with macademia nut milk and shared a Vietnamese coffee - both were great! The pastries were also good. Unfortunately a water line broke while we were in there; the barista was very kind and apologetic, and made an announcement so people could move their cars or leave before the flooding got too out of control. I hope it works out okay and there's not too much damage to the neighborhood! read more

I have had this place on my "coffee shops to try" list for farrrr too long! Now I can finally say I dropped by. This spot is absolutely beautiful inside. Great lighting, lots of plants to admire, and good customer service. What else could you need? Oh great coffee and treats? They have that too! I really enjoyed the potato danish and Vietnamese iced coffee. After doing some shopping, I found a little cutie plant to take home with me. I will def be back soon! read more

I call this place a coffee shop with the cleanest air or I can even call it oxygen bar that serves coffees/tea? This coffee shop is a quasi plant shop or it's the other way around (plant shop with quasi coffee shop.) I can keep going on this one to waste everyone's time. I'll stop here and get to my point. If this coffee shop was in my very neighborhood, I'd go here almost every day. Tucked in this residential area with a hint of industrial atmosphere, people who live in this Northeast Park Hill neighborhood must love this one-of-a-kind cafe that is so dandy in a few different ways. On the outside, it's a bit unassuming (doesn't necessarily look fancy on the outside) but once you've stepped inside, you'd feel like you are in a little boutique with eco-friendly in mind. I'm not a green thumb at all. Every single plant I bought in the past had died on me so it's best that I don't own any plants at this point. In a way, because I cannot keep plants alive at my house, coming to a place like this makes me feel like I'm in a botanical garden or some sort. And the concept of being able to munch a little something with a drink of my choice resonates with me and is soothing to my soul at the same time. The menu board up above at the ordering counter is quite intriguing. The items they serve are a wooden board with sky blue colored font. It's not a massive menu; simple is sometimes the best instead of having a massive number of items. Lavender Latte caught my attention. In the little pastry case, I saw what I remembered as tiramisu twist pastry. I thought they'd enlighten my late morning. I asked for an extra shot of espresso in my latte. I'm more of a cappuccino person as I like to taste as much coffee as possible. The guy behind the bar said he can make it with triple shots of espresso but since the machine can only make two shots at a time (they don't have a cup size to make a single shot), he said he would make four shots and discard the fourth one. I kind of made my request a bit difficult but he did it for me. I truly appreciated this accommodating service. That wasn't the only kind and hospitable gesture he showed me. While he was making the drink for me, he asked me how my day was going. I appreciated his true effort to get to know me. What a great service! This place may not be a great place for bring-your-laptop-and-study-or-work thing. Or even do a little reading either. The place was filled with all kinds of chatters by people were dining. This is not to say that its noise level is unbearable. When the weather is nice outside, the little patio area has three Adirondack chairs; it looked quite inviting. Let's talk about the food and the drink. The Lavender Latter was simply amazing. Slightly sweet but not overwhelmingly. I usually don't drink beverages with sweetness, but this latte truly hit the spot. And the tiramisu twist (pastry) was a bomb. There is a tiramisu cream in the center which I didn't know until I took several bites into it but this was also not too sweet either. This is a dense flaky pastry. This will fill your stomach. At a dandy/cozy cafe, my morning became so dandy with a good drink and a pastry. read more

I've been wanting to try out Dandy Lion Coffee for awhile because of the unique decor and vibe. The pictures make it look a lot more spacious than it actually is, since they've added more tables in the front area and it's a very cozy small area with all the plants in the back. I think it makes it for a great study space. There are limited charging areas available by the walls if you need. The baristas were super friendly. Prices are super reasonable and I was a bit adventurous and tried the Thai iced tea (which was too sweet for my taste so next time I'd adjust for sweetness) and a ham and cheese croissant (delicious, flaky, buttery goodness!). I liked their selection of music - not blaring and a softer, folk style playlist which matches the atmosphere with the plants - which makes a huge difference on my work quality at coffee shops. The Wifi works well too. Parking may be harder to find at peak hours and you may need to walk a little - it's street parking only located next to an older neighborhood. read more
Dandy Lion coffee sits on 38th street in Park Hill. The area is sort of industrial, and the parking is mostly street parking. I wanted to go here to get Vietnamese coffee. The interior is part coffee shop and part greenhouse. There are swings, and plenty of seating is available. There is WiFi for people to work "from home." I definitely will come back to this place. If you like Vietnamese coffee, this is a good spot to try one. read more

This coffee shop is such a dream come true! Whenever I travel I want to find unique coffee shops rather than stopping at a local chain, and Dandy Lion is truly a gem! There is limited parking but we had no problem finding street parking. It's both a coffee shop and a plant nursery. They sell plants, stickers, crystals, prints, jewelry, plushies, and of course coffee and tea. The iced latte I had was delicious, and itnlooks like they have a small selection of pastries and food as well! I could have spent hours in there enjoying my drink. read more
Full disclosure, I don't like coffee. The smell of it, the taste of it. But my better half does, and when I visit coffee shops, they usually bore me. Dandy Lion was fun, a neat experience that I wanted to share for those of us who don't speak fluent coffee. Good signage outdoors, but it's inside what counts and it does. Great vibe, as they share plants for sale with their coffee, and also include swings hanging from the rafters, a unique touch that resonated for me. Service was exceptional. Kind, friendly, informative. Loved their pastries, and they had Mexican Coke, which provided the caffeine jolt that I needed. Nabbed a couple plants, had fun, GREAT music with a TydBit. read more

They have the best Vietnamese iced coffee! So glad I visited this spot after stopping by Vinh Xuong for their banh mi (same owner). This cafe is so cute (lots of plants + swinging chairs) plus their coffee drinks are so good! I'd definitely come back here to do work. read more

I went to Dandy Lion for the first time today and I am in LOVE. So happy I found this place. Felt the hip vibes the minute I walked in. The decor and ambiance was so wonderful. They have super cute swings to sit on and plenty of areas to sit and chat with friends. I also love that they have products to buy - I bought a cute crystal necklace and it was only $20. They have some really unique items for sale, including plants! I've never seen a greenhouse in a coffee shop and I love it. The coffee and snacks were an A+ too. I ordered a lavender latte and a blueberry muffin. The latte was perfectly sweetened and I love the cute design as well. The muffin was very yummy and seemed house made. I highly recommend checking this place out! Definitely going to become a regular here!! read more
