I arrived around 2pm on a Friday. There was no problem finding parking. When entering Dance Threadz, I was warmly greeted and she took me right away to try the pointe shoes. It was one of the best experiences for pointe shoe fittings. I did not feel rushed and was allowed to see which shoe would be the best fit for my feet. I tried on multiple brands and styles and found the Nikolay Neopointe to fit the best. The cost of the pointe shoes are reasonable. The plus is the program to stamp a card for each pointe shoes purchased. I'll be back again to get my next pointe shoes and to look through the rest of the store. We came here after a less than ideal experience for a first fitting at another location. We were going to check out another, more popular place, but after researching we chose this store. We made our appointment over the phone after inquiring online. Customer service was excellent considering I needed to change the time and day a couple of times. Sorry! They handled it with grace which I appreciated since the circumstances were out of my control but we definitely needed new shoes and wanted to get them here. This store has so many unique products that would be normally hard to find if you didn't know the brands already and check out their website. The employees were kind and knowledgeable as well as helpful to a degree of confidence and enthusiasm to make sure you were getting what you wanted and needed. I say needed because they help you navigate your unique needs when it comes to Dancewear for the feet. You make walk in with an idea of what you're looking for but they were experienced enough to make corrections to your benefit if needed. What a perfect dance shop! Immediately upon walking in you can tell they have a great selection here. The lady there was so so friendly and personable, she was eager to help and got us our ballet shoes very quickly and fitted. They have the most adorable leotards here, it was hard to pick just one. When I finally got the chance to put my daughter in dance class, I was hoping this local store was still open. Many years back this was the place my lol would take me to get my dance shoes and accessories. In college I returned to keep buying what I needed. And now, even during this pandemic, I was able to take my daughter to her dance stuff. It was a great experience, she was able to try on her clothes and shoes so we could be sure it fit. I found this place on Yelp and I'm so happy I did. Both my girls have a dance recital coming up and I waited until the last minute to find the correct color tights, ballet shoes, hair nets and everything else. I come here because it's close and I don't have a clue about Dance since it's my daughter's first year. I'm not obsessive about the shoes, tights, leotards like some of the other people in there. I have standards, want my daughter to look good, have a nice fitting set-up and I'm not overly concerned about price, so for that, this place serves my needs. It seems like you need to be somewhat over the top in order to get the same level of attention and service. I'm sure they deal with newbies all the time, but my impression is that they are a bit snooty and thrive off of the moms and daughters that are a bit more "experienced" and Dance-zillas. My advice is that because you are a small business and are in an industry that caters to moms and GROWING kids, you have the opportunity to build loyalty over the long-term. I've never seen any of them on their phones and they are very knowledgeable about the product they sell. They have always called me back right away and I have never had any problems with them. I was really terribly fitted for my first pair of pointe shoes at another place by people who didn't care at all and couldn't be bothered to make sure I had the right kind. But over here they made sure that I had a perfect fit, the perfect brand for my feet, and helped me with my decision on which ones were the most comfortable and which ones helped me achieve my perfect lines. They also took the time to explain to me why a certain pointe shoe would be a better fit than others, and why the shoes I had before were absolutely horribly fitted. I can't tell you how great our experience was but I will try. My daughter had a bad experience with her first set of pointe shoes which left a sour taste in our mouth to make a long story short. We are everything to a ballerina and to anyone studying dance so to have a negative experience on your first set of pointe shoes is hard but coming here was the best decision we could have made. This store was referred to us by my daughters ballet teacher and we are so grateful we listened. From the phone call of making just the appointment for the pointe shoe fitting to actually coming into the store everything was so professional yet so warm and inviting. I bad with names but the woman who helped us was the owner's daughter and she was so incredible and knowledgeable and took all the time needed to really address my daughter's feet her needs and the shoes that would be a fit for her. My daughter tried on a plethora of shoes and from there they weaned out the ones that wouldn't work till they found the perfect pair for her at the stage that she's currently in. What I enjoyed most about this experience was how much education they gave us being new to this experience and it really helped us understand the process of pointe shoes and what we can expect in the future. She took notes on all my daughters needs so next time she comes in for the next pair whoever helps her knows where to start. No one greeted us when we walked in though two ladies were present. One was helping a client so understandable, the other not busy so not excusable. We were looking around at least fifteen minutes and still no service. We continued to wait but when another pair of mother and daughter came in, the other sales lady immediately approached them, greeted them and inquired what they needed, we left. I just signed my 17-month-old daughter up for a dance class. I needed dance apparel within the next couple days, so I didn't have time to buy online. After reading the horrible reviews, I was worried going here, but didn't really have much choice. Fortunately, I had a great experience! The employee was extremely helpful, friendly, and patient with me and my squirmy little toddler. The prices were reasonable too. I had heard good things about the store and its expert pointe shoe fittings from other members of our dance studio, however we had never gone to the store before. Upon arrival, the employees assisted us right away and got my daughter situated with her fitting. Not to mention that the store is gorgeous! It is very clean and covid safe. The fitting was very in depth and we learned so much about pointe shoes! My daughter was so excited and the employees made sure she got the perfect shoe. I'm not sure how the other reviewers had such a bad experience...I never have! The workers are friendly, many of whom are dancers and really know what they are talking about. Every time I go in I'm helped right away. The owner is fantastic with fitting pointe shoes and i know that many studios, even from as far as Newport Beach, send their new pointe students there to be fit. The store is very supportive of local dance studios and teachers. Prices are reasonable and selection is respectable. The only reason I did not give Dance Threadz five stars is that the store is a little small and doesn't have every pointe shoe available, which is a trend with most dance stores (aside from the Discount Dance Supply warehouse...but who wants to drive that far...) I've been going here since I was a dancer many moons ago and will keep going there with my little ones. read more

Adorable outfits that are surprisingly reasonably priced. I needed last-minute dance attire for my two and a half-year-old. I was surprised they had more than one to choose from. They have lots of options and most were in the $30 price range. I bought ballet shoes/slippers in toddler size for $14.
