I love this boutique! The woman working Sunday morning was sweet and delightful. I felt welcomed and enjoyed looking around. The items are very cute, and just what I was looking for as a mom in her 30s. Stylish and chic. I bought some cute jeans. I'll definitely be back! read more

Model Citizen's shop locally. It can be pretty easy to get wrapped up in the very cheap/efficient world of fast-fashion and online shopping. BUT, not only are you helping support the local economy (and your community) by shopping small, you're also going to find one-of-a-kind pieces that you won't see repeated at every public outing - cough cough, Shein, cough. Model Citizen is the perfect place to start! This boutique is filled with trendy clothing and accessories. I recently stopped by to purchase a few tops for a work trip and was excited that they had a number of items that I felt comfortable wearing in a professional environment. Finding tops that cover your stomach is nearly impossible with today's fashion. Parking can be tough on weekends since Model Citizen is located on Mainstreet, but weekdays you can always find free parking available. read more

LOVE Model Citizen, the selection, the staff, the style! Sandy is an amazing buyer. I can pop in for a beautiful dress for a special occasion or cute fun (affordable) outfits for everyday, weekends/work, you name it! Always find what I'm looking for and then some. The team is diverse yet always on point with recommendations, trends, accessorizing and honest opinions. Additionally they are community supporters hosting special events, getting involved where ever they can make a difference! read more

Recently stumbled upon finding this boutique on Main Street in downtown Huntington Beach! No parking lot but there is street meter parking or neighborhood parking available walking distance few blocks away. The lady working there was very helpful and came by in the morning time during weekday when it was not busy. I was looking for & so happy I found my perfect everyday small handbag to wear by Hobo brand to replace my old handbag. Its 100% genuine leather and the handbag comes with warranty though this store. They also have all different kinds of women's dresses, casual everyday, jewelries, accessories as handbags, candles, gifts&more! Also perfect location near the beach and you can also walk to other stores and restaurants nearby. Will be back again until next time & happy to support small businesses! read more

I came to Huntington Beach two years ago and found this boutique with so many beautiful pieces. My visit recently was for a quick weekend however I was determined to stop by before leaving for the airport. My friend and I came into the store, greeted so kindly by Michelle. We shared I had a flight to catch shortly, can she help us look for clothes. Michelle was ABSOLUTELY amazing, she helped pull different pieces and try on outfits that were so beautiful. I am not much of a shopper but my experience with Michelle was a dream and I loved all the clothes I wound up leaving with. Truly one of my most favorite shopping experiences EVER!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHECKING OUT THIS STORE. read more

Wow I am beyond disappointed in this establishment.. first off I have shopped here a handful of times and have never been turned down. I came on a Tuesday night and found some cute items. As I proceeded to the fitting room I was told that I could not try on any items.. that there wasn't enough room for that. Say what!? (Your fitting rooms were empty) So then the gal then says I can only try on the jeans but not the tops.. that this was upon the discretion of the manager. Horrible! So I just said never mind and walked out. The fact that they expect someone to just buy items without even trying them on is horrible business. I will no longer even look at this place nor recommend it. I wish them the best. I had about $100 plus worth to try on too. I was looking forward to purchasing clothes but I guess not. read more

Favorite clothing shop in HB. You can heat some real cute things here. The prices are affordable and you can find one of a kind pieces. The staff is friendly but not in your face. read more

I absolutely love this store. They have the best selection and the prices are great. There are some higher end items as well as an affordable pieces. Besides the great selection, the staff is always so helpful in putting outfits together. One of my favorite places to shop! read more

I have been shopping at this store for prob 10 years now. I love all the different outfits they have. They definitely have a great variety of clothing. The price range for the outfits can be pricey at times, but more of the higher-priced clothing is well known brands that are well-made and worth the money. I was bummed when they took out the huge shoe selection they used to have. Either way they have great accessories and variety. Depending on the day, the ladies that work there are typically wonderful. This store is definitely my go to spot for shopping. read more

Steve Madden Sandals for $25? In a size 5.5? Compared to Nordy's $80 and they rarely have my size? SCORE! At first I thought that there must be something wrong with them. Inspected.....nope. Uncomfortable? Tried them on.....nope. In Gold? YES! Must get. They also had a good variety of heels. In smaller sizes too. I'm a 5 or 5.5 depending on the shoe. It's hard for my little feet to find a pair that fits perfectly. So when I find one, I get really excited. haha. And I would've bought the entire shoe selection however, my carry-on was already full & my bf gave me the 'look.' lol. Next time.....Good thing my sister only lives a few blocks from Downtown Huntington. I also browsed through the clothing. Very comfy and trendy. read more

LOVE THIS BOUTIQUE! It's my Go-To for super cute dresses. Recently a sensor tag was left on my dress and I didn't notice till I got home and hung up my dress. I went back later to have it removed and the manager was so sweet to give me a discount card on my next purchase for the inconvenience. I love their Voluspa candle selection too! They make great last minute gifts! read more

Model Citizen - Love their Voluspa candle selection and all the beautiful accessories - Women's Clothing Near Me - Huntington Beach, California

I went to this boutique to gather info for a project I am doing for FIDM. The sales associate was extremely helpful and pleasant, not to mention the clothes were very cute as well. I ended up finding my mom a really unique looking black metal bracelet for Mother's Day. I will definitely be back to do some personal shopping as well! The store was not too large (which I like) however it was packed full of clothes. I personally would prefer less because it seemed a little overwhelming but on the other hand you will not run short of options! Connected to the store is a separate shoe/accessory area that had a little more room. The store does lack ambiance and decor but more than makes up for it with their knowledgeable and friendly staff! read more

Love this store. I usually treat myself to a few things when I'm in Huntington beach. They have a high and low price point do there's something for everyone. I just scored this super cute clutch... read more

Model Citizen - Favorite new clutch... - Women's Clothing Near Me - Huntington Beach, California

This is a cute little store on Main street. It's really amazing how much they squeeze into that store and what a variety of stuff they have. There are a ton of really cute things ranging in price from affordable to a bit on the expensive side. The more pricey items were quality items. The staff is very friendly and tried to be helpful. The girl who was helping me was very sweet but didn't seem to understand how to pull things that would work for and flatter someone with larger boobs. They also didn't have much in stock in the larger sizes, I tried on so many cute dresses where the medium was just a tiny bit to small and the large would've been perfect. it won't keep me from coming back though. read more

Just the cutest clothes in HB! And when you duck in here on Locals Night, you get one item at 20% off! You can never get enough discounts. And they carry Skye brand. Score! The sales staff know their stuff and are great at making recommendations. Just ask, and they'll set you up! Go there! read more

I am one of those strange women who hate to shop. But when I am in HB I love Model Citizen. Never leave empty-handed. Really cute clothing and accessories and super-friendly staff. I live in frumpy dumpy Marin and Model Citizen always brightens my dreary Bay Area wardrobe. read more

Dashed into this store on my lunch break with the hopes of finding a dress to wear to a wedding this weekend and ONLY had my lunch break to find something!! Fawn (sp?) was so helpful and not overbearing at all.. after I picked out a few dresses she got me a dressing room started and took the liberty of picking out a few other looks she thought I would like as well! All super cute styles and not only did I find a BEAUTIFUL dress but also shoes too!!! Can't wait to come back for my next event!! read more

Bummed. As a business owner downtown that offers local discounts I thought they would show some love. None shown. As for there shop some cute things some overpriced things good variety but was turned off by the owners sisters attitude to a number of people close to me. I don't think I'll ever shop there again. read more

A special shout out to the customer service at this cute boutique. No snooty attitudes. The ladies here were helpful, friendly and not pushy. The clothes are well curated...from Free People to Michael Stars. I could see myself owning 20 plus pieces easily and happily walked away with some new tops to add to my wardrobe. I'll be back! read more

Living a few blocks from Downtown Huntington Beach is dangerous for a girl. Model Citizen just expanded their already cute clothing store to include a section just for SHOES! A girls dream :) Not only do they have the cutest shoes but they are at a great price! They carry Steve Maddens, Madden Girl, Jessica Simpson, etc. When I checked the prices of the shoes on the actual shoe brand website it was more expensive then what you would get at Model Citizen. Not only are their shoes cheaper but once in a while you will get a 20% coupon in the mail which you could use toward your purchase. I also have a common shoe size 6-6 1/2 so most places don't have my shoe size left but I don't have that problem at Model Citizen! Be sure to check this place out if you are just a visitor in town or a local :) They are located on Main St near El Ranchito. read more

Too crowded! They have two spaces that are right next to each other. So their property is huge. But you can't tell from all of their merchandise! The owners definitely need to get their Store Image right. There's so much stuff, it's overwhelming. You can't even tell that they carry Free People because it's buried under low quality brands. There's barely any room to walk...let alone shop comfortably. Their shoe section is pushed into one corner. And you basically have to stand trying on shoes. Their mannequins are poorly dressed and are shoved in front of their windows. I couldn't believe how tacky this place looked. As far as trends...this boutique is definitely a trend FOLLOWER...and not a trend STARTER. Some of their merchandise is even outdated. I probably won't be coming back, but maybe after they do a complete 180 of everything. One plus...the employees were nice. read more

I LOVE model citizen! I can always go in there and find something great! I am one of those girls that always need to get in and get out. I have always had the BEST experiences with the Model Citizen staff too. Everyone is super helpful; thank goodness since I have absolutely no fashion sense and need the help those stylish gals. I always leave there super satisfied with my purchase and experience. Also, they have great options for shoes too! Now that I have moved from HB I'm not sure where I am going to shop...I actually have called to order things over the phone :) Great place, I recommend to ALL! read more

Good selection of clothes, accessories, and shoes! I've been going here for 8 years now, just every now and then but always find what I need! When I was in high school, I would find the cutest dresses for dances and now I just look here for everyday casual looks as well as fun going out clothes! They have a great shoe collection! I bought 2 pairs the last time I was in! Also, the girls here are super friendly and really helpful! read more

Sandy, Elaine and the Model Citizen staff were nothing but helpful, patient, and accommodating when I went in to pick out my new wardrobe! Their taste and style expertise is exactly what I needed, especially because half the time, I don't even know what I like! I can't wait to go back. read more

Seriously falling in love with this store! A great range of affordable to somewhat pricey, but I always find something I like. Today I picked up a great pair of Flying Monkey dark denim skinnies @ a pyrite stone ring for $58! All the girls who work here are super friendly & darn it I forgot to get her name this time, but the brunette in the black leggings & green jacket was super informative, friendly & helpful! Obviously I'll be back :)) read more

I love this place. The girls were very helpful & phenomenal. I'm not quite the shopper nor have any sense of fashion. I'm a jeans, flip flop, baby tee kinda girl from Hawaii so looking for something that's in & cute & with all the accessories....the girls were lifesavers. The shoes were a steal! They had discounted shoes on name brands & even had my size 7 1/2. Accessories were somewhat pricey as earrings were like $14 & necklace $16. A little much. They have very cute clothes that only a few girls can pull off. Love their variety also. read more

One of my favorite boutiques in HB. Staff is friendly and very accommodating.

This is THE cutest store in HB. The styles are all current and you can get anything from higher-end Skye or Michael B. brands to $15 tanks and sleeveless tops. The sales people are always so helpful without being overly pushy and annoying. I LOVE this place! read more

My friend Shannon turned me on to this store. They have really cute things and locals on Tuesday always get 20% off.

Love love love this place!!!! You can always find something great in here. Fabulous place to go grab a new outfit for something quick, without the hassle of the mall. I always used to go to Nordstrom or Bebe, but they don't have cute shirts like Model Citizen. I live close, so it's very convenient, and easy to get in and out. I love that they have designer jeans, with tons of shirts to pick from. Im a little more picky with my shoes, however I have glanced at some things and they look cute. There really isn't any drawbacks to the store, but if I had to pick one, it would only be the parking. In the summer it's sometimes difficult to get in there, but the key is to try to go during the week and go early and you shouldn't have any problems. I am finding that I prefer boutiques so much more these days. The girls are always nice and very helpful, as well as attentive. read more

Love this little store, Megan is always so helpful and friendly! They also have an incredibly cute selection of shoes. I've found plenty of my heels there and (mega plus!) they were on clearance!! Woohoo! read more

Only THE GREATEST little boutique to ever exist! Not only are you going to get THE BEST customer service when you walk in the door...but you can find designer clothes and really really affordable clothes as well. They have everything! And they are honest, no need to take girlfriends shopping any more for opinions when you have the highly trained model citizen staff. Love you girls so much! Oh! And, you can have private party's at their store, make sure to ask about it, they serve wine, crackers and treats and close down the store for you an all your girlfriends. read more

Stopped by this storefront last Tues. eve. while walking a friends dog through Farmers Market. I was greeted by the store owner who obviously LOVES Bull Terriers. She took the leash and invited us in! How nice is that! As I spoke to her I browsed the shop and omg! They have a very nice clothing line. I'm no fashion expert but I would say the style was hip/sheiky with a little beach flar. Their dresses are beautiful, comfy/elegant, so pretty. I looked up their shop online because I wanted to share it with the owner of the dog that lives a few blocks from the store. When I saw this listing on YELP, I decided to give them a nice review because of their kind hospitality, and the fact that I wished I had more time to try on some of their great clothing. Next time, for sure!!! read more
