She ended up giving me a $32 gift card. I'm confused and upset on why I was told I couldn't get a refund considering I was mischarged the wrong amount. The employee was at fault and I do know mistakes happen, but I'm not sure why a company wouldn't refund something that was their fault.

I was not surprised to find review after review describing the exact same behavior! I was shopping with my Mom and Dad and from the moment we walked in, I felt like I was being watched instead of welcomed. I was followed around the store, repeatedly pressured to use a fitting room immediately, and once I did, an employee stood outside the dressing room the entire time. Every few minutes someone else came over with another question. It didn't feel like attentive customer service, it felt intrusive, and I couldn't browse or shop in peace. Checkout was just as uncomfortable. Instead of asking whether I'd like to join a rewards program or mailing list, they immediately started collecting my information: my first and last name, phone number, then email. I finally stopped them and asked, "Do I have to sign up just to make a purchase?" Only then was I told, "No, we can skip it." That's something that should have been optional from the start, not presented as though it were required. The final straw was when I tried to pay with a debit rewards card that required the number to be entered manually because it didn't have a chip. Diane came over and, in a rude tone, told me they don't allow manually entered card numbers because it "protects against theft." I've worked in retail for years and have never heard of such a thing, and there are certainly more professional ways to communicate it. At that point, I terminated my purchase and walked out. I liked the merchandise, but the shopping experience was so unpleasant that I no longer wanted to give this store my business. The most validating part was reading the reviews afterward and seeing that so many other customers described the exact same experience: being followed, hovered over, pressured, and treated more like a potential shoplifter than a paying customer. This doesn't feel like an isolated incident--it feels like the culture of the store. There are far too many great boutiques to spend your money somewhere that makes customers feel uncomfortable from the moment they walk in. Very, very, weird experience. But, it wasn't until recently that I made my way to their warehouse/store in Huntington Beach. They are located in what looks like an industrial area. Parking is plentiful in their lot. They are much larger and carry more supplies than their Irvine store. As you walk in, they have suits on their bargain racks. Some great deals can be had on competition and training suits. They carry all kinds of suits including technical suits. In addition to suits, they also have fins, goggles and other equipment for swimming. The employees are nice and helpful. They can help fit you for goggles and other equipment they sell, yet they don't use high pressure sales tactics. This is a great place for swimmers, of all levels to get their gear. They have suits for both male and female. Whether you compete or swim laps, this is the place for you.

After ordering, I called three times (September 14, 15, and 17). Each time, they told me they only had one suit in stock and were waiting for the other one to arrive, but they couldn't tell me when. On top of that, their customer service was rude. Instead of helping or giving me real answers, they made me feel like I was bothering them for asking about my own order. My order finally shipped on September 24, almost two weeks later. When it arrived on September 26, there was only one swimsuit in the package, even though the packing slip listed two. I paid $170.14 and only received half of my order. I waited so long because I needed these suits for a swim meet, and it was really stressful. If you need your suits by a certain date, I'd recommend calling first to make sure they actually have everything in stock before you order.
