Emery's adopted Ballet Mama, she gets us through last minute anything and always there
Lulu T.

Ashley's mother owned this store and fitted many ballerinas since the 80's and now, Ashley is carrying on that same tradition. Thus, you can imagine the vast knowledge she grew up with in owning a Dance Store, doing and teaching ballet has become her everyday language. What you'll find genuine about Ashley is she knows her stuff and tells it as it is. They're always busy after school hours, so I would suggests you definitely make an appointment. And take note, unless there's a clipboard lists already in place, of your place in line because Ashley does spend quality time fitting for pointe shoe fittings or any other dance shoes. She is well versed on most all the studios and what the teacher's preferences are therefore you know you'll be in good hands. Since my daughter started competitions, we have been so blessed by Ashley's support and wealth of wisdom especially when ballet can feel stressful. Ashley is a wonderful encouragement to our daughter in everything ballet and we can't begin to express our gratitude for her in words therefore we feel we have adopted Ashley as our daughter's "ballet mama". Thank you for getting her through it all and continuing to help us to this day Ashley. After YAGP 2026 performance, we took a pic in front of the dance attire section at Irvine Barclay Theatre.

I arrived around 2pm on a Friday. There was no problem finding parking. When entering Dance Threadz, I was warmly greeted and she took me right away to try the pointe shoes. It was one of the best experiences for pointe shoe fittings. I did not feel rushed and was allowed to see which shoe would be the best fit for my feet. I tried on multiple brands and styles and found the Nikolay Neopointe to fit the best. The cost of the pointe shoes are reasonable. The plus is the program to stamp a card for each pointe shoes purchased. I'll be back again to get my next pointe shoes and to look through the rest of the store. They had leotards, tights, warmups in children and adult size. Lots of accessories too.

Audrey is all set to start ballet and tap thanks to dance threadZ! And she is going to look so cute in her new leotard!

Hello, do you carry ballet and tap shoes in toddler sizes?

Hi Natalia. Yes, our ballet and tap shoes start at child’s size 5. Leotards, tutus and tights begin at size 2-4 toddler. Hope this helps!

This is my go to place for ballet shoes and everything else I may need relating to dancing. We have…read morebeen going here for years and the service is great! They have all named brand options and I value the fact that the owner will personally fit you for your shoes. Its great value for your money.

This little Dancer's shop is owned by Josephine's (Pointe Shop) mother, "Grace". Grace has owned…read morethis shop for over a decade or more; and through the years she has collected a large trove of several pointe shoes, leotards and all things you would need from the smallest of accessories to the newest designs! Hours of Operation is regularly 10am to 6pm daily (see website hours). It is a well-known and popular shop. Grace runs the shop solo and her assistant is there every other day. Please be patient, Grace understands each shoe is costly especially if they are Pointe shoes $125 and up, so she gives you the patience of "time to decide" versus being rushed. She will give you options based on if you have wide feet, narrow, or even a lower heel fit in the back to avoid scraping the skin off your heels. Ultimately, you leave having picked your first pointe/ballet/jazz/contemporary/character shoes comfortably. Customers can walk in and might have to wait longer, but there is so much to look for to pass time. There is no returns for dancers shoes and many items with any wear on them. Is it worth the wait? I think so. You drove out there and the options are endless from the floor to the ceiling. Many shoes that have run out in other dance places may still be here. Ask? If your shoe design is gone, Grace will give alternatives and honest feedback of similar shoes. Cost is the same as other Dance stores. Location is off the Aliso Creek Road exit and you'd turn into a small street called "Journey", it's in a small business nook. Business owner: Grace presents with a humble nature. She is experienced having been a ballet dancer herself and then understanding the needs of dancers. She is helpful in shoe fittings because she understands it is the fit that makes the difference. The customer also has to speak up their preferences so she can help identify what your personal preferences and fit are too! She carefully listens and guides you. We leave here feeling as if we have visited a family member who is so respectful, kind and gracious. Exceptional****** Grace always picks up her business phone unless she is helping a customer. We have bought 6 Pointe' shoes here for the Houston Summer Intensive of 5 weeks and we feel equipped! We just love and adore "Grace" at Dancers Choice. Thank you Grace!!!

Wicked Chamber, Costa Mesa: Where Bad Decisions Get Professionally Styled…read more Apparently I had been dressing for Folsom Street Fair like a civilian. Thankfully, Mel, Jill, and Jen at Wicked Chambers staged an intervention. I walked in preparing for four days in San Francisco, starting with Twisted Windows Thursday, then going straight through Friday and Saturday night, and basically told them: make me look hot, dangerous, and just responsible enough to still have TSA PreCheck. Challenge accepted. These women absolutely understood the assignment. I left with black perforated mesh pants that somehow manage to be pants while also making a compelling argument against pants. Then came the black lace up bondage style pants covered in straps, buckles, hardware, and enough dangling temptation to make airport security reconsider several career choices. Then they added the white leather body harness, because apparently subtlety had already been pronounced dead. Next came the black mesh sleeveless top loaded with chains, rings, studs, and hardware. It looks like a fishing net and a dungeon had a very attractive child. And finally, the black tactical thigh bag with spikes and hardware, because every man needs somewhere to keep his phone, wallet, room key, and whatever remains of his dignity by Sunday morning. But the best part wasn't just the clothes. Mel, Jill, and Jen styled the whole damn thing. They listened to where I was going, figured out the vibe I wanted, pulled pieces I never would have picked myself, mixed everything together, and turned a pile of outrageous clothing into actual looks. There is a huge difference between selling someone fetishwear and knowing how to style someone in it. These three know exactly what they're doing. I walked into Wicked Chamber looking for outfits. I walked out looking like Folsom Street Fair should probably have been warned in advance. Twisted Windows, I'm coming. My credit card is traumatized. I, however, have never been happier. Mel, Jill, Jen: absolute fucking legends.
