The racks are organized by size. There are a few fitting rooms and one large pedestal/mirror area. The customer service was top-notch, helping to hold and carry dresses and organizing the wait for the fitting rooms. When we arrived, the store was packed with several families doing the same thing that we were. The staff was calm and was able to organize everyone while not making anyone feel rushed or impatient. They paid equal amounts of attention to each girl trying on dresses, making everyone feel special. One of the ladies who helped us is also a designer, who makes some of the dresses that are available in the store. It seems they also handle all fittings and alternations, and many items like the color of little flowers, pearls and crystals and other embellishments can be customized.

My mom has been battling the after-effects of a stroke for a little over a year now. While she can get around, it is difficult due to being in a wheelchair. My dad, well he has his own physical ailments that limit what he can do as well. To say holidays and Christmas shopping are tough, would be an understatement, but they mean so well and do what they can. Last night, even as the store was getting ready to close, my dad was able to get my mom into the store, and her Christmas was made. They've both never been much of a big box store or shopping mall kind of people. Willy Nilly went out of their way to accommodate them, shopped with them, and wrapped everything they bought for them. Even after their scheduled closure time. They say to shop local around the holidays to help these businesses and that's why. The care for the customer that you don't get from a Walmart or Target or Roosevelt Field. 6 shopping bags later, I know it's highly unlikely that Willy Nilly and it's owners or employees will ever see this, but thank you so much for bringing a little joy to their Christmas. It means the world to us. If you can, shop local, shop the Willy Nillys of the world. Sincerely, The Johnson Family Coppied and pasted from our neighborhood page

DON'T BOTHER GOING HERE!!!!…read more One of the worst shopping experiences of my life! I took my daughter to Pashley for a Communion dress. After already having had a bad experience the same day at another store, we were looking forward to finding the perfect dress. Instead, the woman who helped us showed my daughter and I two dresses that did not fit and claimed she was "stumped" on her sizing. She then proceeded to direct me to once area of dresses and told to pick something from there. We selected something that was ok but I could tell my daughter was not thrilled. She didn't have the ear to ear smile I expected. When I told the salesperson we weren't thrilled she responded with "I don't know what else I can show you." Meanwhile we had tried on about 4-5 dresses...there were well over 40 in the room and she insisted nothing would work. The family that was in the store right before us looked like they had the red carpet rolled out and we were shooed out like we were worthless. We took our business elsewhere and were treated with respect and kindness, which we did not experience at Pashley. This store and its associates need to take the stick out of their ass. We found dresses that were just as beautiful and superior service elsewhere.

The staff made getting his first pair feel special and celebrated, but in a calm, gentle way that didn't overwhelm him. They were incredibly helpful, patient, and knowledgeable about fitting little feet properly. As for the shoes themselves, our son is obsessed--he literally wants to wear them all the time. The quality is fantastic, especially for the price, and they are holding up great to toddler wear and tear. Tip for parking: You can find street parking right out front, or park in the municipal lot conveniently located just across the street. We will definitely be coming back as his feet grow!

We had a wonderful experience at Stride Rite in Sayville!…read more I've been wanting to make a trip out here to get my daughter her first pair of supportive shoes and I know Stride Rite is the best. There are only 2 Stride Rites left on LI - Sayville and Selden so we made the drive from Farmingdale on a Saturday afternoon to get my daughter's shoes. Cathy greeted us and quickly assisted us with help. I voiced to her that it was our first shopping experience for shoes and she measured my daughter's feet to ensure proper fitting. She was kind, patient and worked with my daughter as she just woke up from her nap and was very unsure of the pantyhose and new shoes. She let he pick out which one she wanted to try and let us take our time as she practiced walking in the store. The shoes are definitely worth the price! I am so glad I went to the store rather than buying it online. It is super crucial to make sure that my daughter has a great supportive shoe when starting out to walk. Highly recommend this store! Even if you're not close, it's worth making a trip out there on the weekends! Also check their Facebook page for coupons!
