Then my turn I pull up to the pump 8 to go and pay cash gave them my cash and card then they sent out my cash back telling me to go to another pump. They shut 8 down! FRUSTRATING AS IT IS TO GO AND WAIT AN ADDITION 15 or more minutes is redundant! I drove off! I feel the Stoughton BJ IS CHEAPER AND TGE CASHIER SO MUCH MORE PLEASANT! To note, BJ IN stoughton always gives me a receipt with my gas purchase YET IN ALL THE TIMES HERE GIVING CASH, not once ever did I ever get a cash receipt! That's always been a red flag to me!!!! BJ GAS SUPERVISORS NEED TO ADDRESS THAT EACH CUSTOMER SHOULD RECEIVE A CASH RECEIPT WHEN DOING A TRANSACTION - who knows if they actually puts that cash in the register! We feel blessed for example to have a great electrician and now friend, another friend who is an awesome foreign car mechanic, an amazing heating specialist and so on. Into this group I put owners of gas stations. Enter this Shell station in Quincy. It's on our local rotation of 3 stations where we gas up our cars. Other than being away from home, these are the only 3 places to which I go. Jack, the owner of this Shell station is a great guy. My husband got to know him first as this is the place he brings our vehicles for the annual Massachusetts inspections that are required. The gas station is big with easy in and out access from Route 3A. It is a full service gas station. I wish Massachusetts was like New Jersey in outlawing self-serve. I hate pumping gas and hate being next to bozos who are pumping their own gas while smoking cigarettes. Prices are good with a full-serve option and you get your windshields cleaned to boot. Everyone working here is polite and professional. Yesterday I got my car inspected. There are several bays so there was no wait. It took all of 10 minutes and off I went with my new sticker. I know if I had an issue with my car, Jack and his workers would appraise the situation honestly, take care of it or advise me on what I should do. I'm happy to have these caring professionals on the South Shore.

There was no apology, no explanation, and no slightest mentioning of reprimanding or to re-train his workers of safety protocols. Not to mention, his employees appear to be high school kids who probably either not even valid to work or know the rules because when I got out of the car, the kid who was dispensing the gas, got really scared and took off to the back. Unbelievable. I will never bring my business there again!

I pulled into this gas station and an employee approached my car asking if I was getting gas. I…read moresaid yes. He asked if I wanted him to pump it for me, and I politely said no, I've got it. He then told me to pull up to another pump. I asked if the pump I was at was broken, and he said no. I asked why I needed to move when there were FIVE other completely empty pumps available. He then said he wanted another car to be able to use the pump I was at because it was a "service pump." At that point, the interaction became unnecessarily rude and confrontational. I told him that I did not appreciate his attitude and that I would report the interaction. I ultimately decided not to give this business my money and left for another gas station across the street. What makes this even more concerning is that when I told the attendant at the other gas station what happened, she immediately said she has heard similar complaints about this location. If you offer full-service gas, that's fine. But if a customer declines assistance, that should be the end of it. There was no reason to become argumentative or make me feel uncomfortable for simply wanting to pump my own gas. I won't be returning.

He then started walking away from me and mumbling like oh no I don't think so, but you can change it and come back then, and then literally walked away from me. I left and changed it at home with that extra bulb I had in 5 minutes. It works. TLDR: Tried to scam me for $140 for 2 minutes of work with a bulb I HAD for the change.
