We had a very bad experience at this shop. We brought our own car battery and asked them to help…read moreinstall it. Before they started, we clearly asked about the price, and the owner told us it would be $8. After finishing the installation, they suddenly told us the price was $80. After arguing, they finally charged us $30, which was still not what we agreed on. They also tried to take our old battery without asking. This felt very dishonest and misleading. Please be careful if you plan to get any car service here.

Now if only people would stop crowding and blocking the way for others to enter the station, they need to filter down the row and get in line during peak times. It usually bottlenecks at the beginning of the lot because people stop and wait for the first couple pumps. They are EXTENDED gas lines so it doesn't matter what side of the car your gas port is on. If you don't already know there's a small white arrow by your gas indicator on the dash that tells you which side your gas tank is on. They've upgraded the pumps to have barcode scanner for your membership and tap capabilities for payment. They also have one singular air pump, FREE air to inflate your tires especially during winter months when your pressure may be less then desired! Never had to deal with staff but i do greet them if happen to be walking by, everyone seems pleasant!

Attempted to inflate my tires by paying $2 in quarters and the malfunctioning machine actually deflated the tire I was trying to fill! When I nicely asked for my money back, the angry cashier that worked there would not give it to me, blamed me by saying it was broken (no sign, no nothing), and told me to write the air company! Thats customer service in 2022! Yesterday stopped for gas, paid with my card, and waited for the pump to be authorized. Few minutes go by and I discover, not only is everyone else waiting, There Is no one working in the store at 9:30 am on a Friday! He then started walking away from me and mumbling like oh no I don't think so, but you can change it and come back then, and then literally walked away from me. I left and changed it at home with that extra bulb I had in 5 minutes. It works. TLDR: Tried to scam me for $140 for 2 minutes of work with a bulb I HAD for the change. Then scurried away when I confronted him about it. Most shops would've done it for free or like $10, especially since I had the bulb lol. Scam artist.

Completely agree with the first review. I live close by and am lucky but this is the Go To gas…read morestation for the entire Hough's Neck peninsula of Quincy. And I haven't seen another gas station in the town that has cheaper gas. Plus this place is super convenient and the attached car shop is extremely good to. They get you the inspection sticker without too much hassle. If you call ahead of time, they will be extremely prompt in taking care of your car. Knock on wood, I have never had any problems with my car for which i had to bring it in to the shop. But I see these guys always busy with cars. Which means they must be doing a good job. At least that's what I decipher every year when i get my inspection sticker. The shop is closed early on Sundays. And so are the gas pumps / mini mart.

For the inspection this month, my Forester-specialized headlight was out, and they ordered, delivered and installed a new one and certified the car and had me on my way in about 30 minutes. The price was at the low end of their estimate. Though this inspection location is closest to me, I wouldn't go for years because of the management, which has now changed. Hurrah!

This is definitely one of the cheaper gas stations in the North Quincy area. According to Gas…read moreBuddy, BJ's and Prestige are cheaper, but this one is right by my house and conveniently located on Hancock Street, so it's worth the extra 2 cents per gallon. There always seems to be spots available for filling up your tank and the pumps even have a lever, so you can go hands-free while you wait for your tank to fill up. There's also a little screen that plays weather, news etc. while you wait. The station is getting renovated and it will soon feature a small shop for coffee, baked goods and deli meats! Looking forward to that happening.

The tire air pressure light on my dashboard came on this morning indicating that there is something up with the air pressure in one or more of my tires. I wanted to get this taken care of but I have no idea how to use the air machines at the gas stations. So I stopped by this place to see if someone there could help me. There were two employees there working. One in the tiny convenience store and one working the gas pumps. I asked the guy in the convenience store if it would be possible to get some help or at least be shown how to operate the air machine but I could clearly see that he did not want to be bothered. He told me that the gas attendant could have helped had he not been busy. He also said that they are not supposed to do it which I have trouble believing since every other gas station that I have ever gone to on the very rare occasions that I have needed assistance with this has always helped me. He was not friendly either which is not good. I think that he could have at least stepped away from the store for one minute and shown me how to use the air machine. The air machine is about 15 feet away from the entrance to the store. I have been going to that gas station to buy gas for my cars ever since I was a teenager just getting my license and driving for the first time. But no more. The gas prices at this place are reasonable but because of what happened today I will no longer be buying from this gas station. For their reasonable gas prices I will give them a very generous two stars.
