Getting a tatoo was the best experience at this time in my life. It was such an uplifting moment for personal reasons. Seth the tattoo artist was very patient and I felt at easy talking with him about what I wanted. read more

My artist, Seth, was professional, respectful, and easy to work with--qualities I really appreciate. The shop itself was clean, organized, and clearly well maintained. Even though it was fully booked at 6pm on a Saturday, the atmosphere remained calm and relaxed. The music wasn't loud, and the TV was kept at a low volume, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Thanks read more

Went in yesterday and talked to the owner Nick. I needed some update on an existing tattoo to help cover a scar. Nick came up with an idea and it came out perfect. The shop is very kickback and everyone is friendly. I will definitely return for some more ink. read more

Best tattoo shop! We went as walk-ins on a Saturday and Nick was able to tattoo 4 of us in about a 2 hour time frame. Everyone is so talented and the shop is SO clean. Highly recommend going here. read more

My friend and her sister got their tattoos here. After looking at Justin's work on instagram and close examination of my friend's, I concluded that I wanted my tattoo done by him, too. My boyfriend and I decided on our designs and then emailed Justin. He was quick to email us back and tell us when to come in for a consoltation. The drive here is a bit brutal; I live about an hour away from here. The drive here is straight forward until tou get near the tattoo place. The parking lot is in the back and I do not recommend parking on the curb. The consoltation was quick and easy. Justin asked us where we wanted our tattoos, what deisngs, sizes, and we made an appointment with him. Of course we had to make a deposit as well, not a problem. About 3 weeks later, my boyfriend and I go get our tattoo. Justin is a great artist and he is very calm and confident in his work. He made it painless for me and was very professional. His work was clean and he was mindful that it was our first time getting tattoos. He finished our tattoos faster than we thought, but was very skilled and detailed. The shop overall is clean and all the artists are dope and down to Earth. I highly recommend this place for mixtures of color and line work. read more

I cannot recommend Dana Point Tattoo enough, these guys are professional, friendly, and very good at what they do. Nick Cetrangolo ( IG @seasick_nick ) was helping me out today and was informative about how to find his work on Instagram. Considering this was a walk-in, Nick was prepared and very intentional about his quality of work! I will be back 100% read more

Great group of guys. Just got my first tattoo created by Nick. Great experience. I will definately come back again. Highly recommend

Brought my mom in on a walk-in for her birthday because she wanted something pretty small. We lucked out that on Saturdays Nick takes walk-ins for little tats that aren't too time consuming so that we didn't have to wait weeks for an appointment with him. Nick and Kevin were both friendly and sweet and made the experience so enjoyable for my mom. I'm not really a tat "regular" but would for sure use Nick again any time in the future and recommend. Also, had been a while since either of us had a tattoo and this one healed perfectly and painless without all the washing and "goo-ing" of tattoos of my past. Thanks Nick! read more

This review is for Justin! I've been following Justin on Instagram for awhile and have always been obsessed with his work and style. I saw that he posted he was booking for September so I immediately emailed him and sent him my deposit locking in my appointment with him for the 26th. I didn't ask about pricing because honestly the price doesn't matter, I was just super stoked I managed to get an appointment in haha plus my birthday was the 24th so it was a birthday gift to myself! Anyways fast forward to the appointment. The shop itself was super nice. I love how they decorated it. Everything was extremely clean and well organized. According to my friend who came along, "they have the cleanest bathroom ever I was stoked" Haha. Justin was SUPER friendly and easy to talk to which put me at ease. Very accommodating to whatever needs I needed aka needing to stretch, reposition myself, bathroom, etc. I also loved that he was super light handed! The entire session was about 5 hours but it honestly went by with a breeze. I've never felt so comfortable with an artist before, definitely can't wait to get other work done by him! I loved that I gave him the idea of what I wanted and he exceeded my expectations. He showed me the sketch and told me he'd add detail as he goes and I'm SO OBSESSED. The detail was incredible. I'm in love with this piece and can wait to shove my leg in everyone's face to annoyingly show it off read more

My wife surprised me with an appointment to get a tattoo I've wanted for my birthday with Justin at Dana Point Tattoo. I sent him a message a few days prior and he responded quickly at every turn. Justin was communicative, and he collaborated with me on my design, following my idea and suggesting his own creative touches. When I arrived for the appointment Justin was friendly and put me at ease after not having gotten work done in a few years. He estimated the time and price accurately, and when all was said and done the piece came out better than I had expected. I was glad that I had listened to his design suggestions. This is by far my favorite tattoo to date, and we are already discussing next tattoo ideas. read more

Amazing Amazing Amazing! This was my first tattoo. I spent 12 months deciding on my design and which artist I would work with. I met with many and ultimately met Nick Cetrangalo of Dana Point Tattoo. Nick as a person: I found other artists to be arrogant, where it was about what they wanted and not what I wanted. Nick was the first and only one to sincerely want to understand and create it as I wanted. He was patient, kind and made me feel like we had been friends for years. What is now permanent is not only this incredible tattoo, but the lifelong memory of the great experience I had. What a great personality and such a warm person! Talent: I'm one of the 4 types of OCD: (Symmetry, Arranging, Counting, and needs to be Perfect.) With that kind of hard to please OCD, I still wonder why I would take the ultimate risk of having something permanent on my body. Part of what took me a year to decide was the doubt I had in the many artists I interviewed. I saw examples of Nick's work of 20 years experience and how passionate he was about Quality over Quantity. I was so impressed, I took the chance with him. As he asked me about the vision I had for the design, I was amazed to see how he was creating it on the spot. Absolutely incredible and what a talented artist. I told him that I would know it when I see it and in a relatively quick amount of time, I saw it and so excited. I sat down in the chair with total confidence and let Nick do his thing. He checked in with me often to make sure I was feeling okay and we or I even watched a Netflix movie on the shop big screen. Nick is a quality artist and has the perfect combination of talent, personality and desire to provide exactly what I wanted. Dana Point Tattoo is a Quality vs. Quantity shop. All of of the artists are of the highest quality, experience and skill set. Each will have their own specialties and Nick was my guy. Needless to say, I highly recommend him. Thank you Nick! read more

Where's the 6-star button on this thing? Being tattooed at Dana Point Tattoo by Matt Tischler was so fun and chill, and he's a professional to boot. The new studio is pristine and pretty, but you're gonna have to make sure you open the correct door to the left of the Dana Point window sign since they're in close quarters with a piercing shop. With booking an appointment with Matt, he accepts submissions through email and is fully booked for months at a time, but I will tell ya, he is 1,000% worth the wait because he will adorn you with an exceptional work of art. Not to mention, he's also extremely attentive and hilarious, and gives some solid relationship advice (seriously). Thanks for a memorable time, guys. I WILL see you again in the not so distant future! read more

Brad is the best traditional tattoo artist in the country. There is no artist that is that creative and literally perfect. I have studied diff artists and there work from all over and he is by far the master. Genius if his craft and a real genuine person who really cares about his work. I had my first tattoo done here by Bradley Kinney & let me tell you it was a great experience. He's professional, friendly and just so chill. Called on a Sunday about a small toe ring tattoo. We were told they were booked but to come by Monday at 12:30. We show up Monday at 12:30 and were told (by a guy who seemed to be doing nothing) that we'd need to make an appt for another day. You say you're a walk-in facility and can't fit in 2 small tats? Lame. Update: Hello Justin, I own a business. If someone comes in when I'm eating lunch, my lunch waits. Brad was eating....what we're you doing? I think you guys only want the big gun tattoos - not a measly little toe tattoo. Don't say you take walk-ins because, let's be honest, you don't. Your definition of a walk-in is walk in and make an appointment for another day or time. I wonder had we walked in wanting a larger tattoo if we'd have been magically fit in. read more

I've had 2 tattoos done by Bradley Kinney, one of which was just on Friday night. He did a beautiful rose design around my knee and a desert theme on my forearm, and I'm obsessed! This is the best tattoo shop I've ever been to. He is seriously the best, all around. His work is amazing, very creative, honest, pleasant to be around and super down to earth. He does have a cancellation and no-show policy, (rightfully so) that is extremely fair. The shop itself is clean, visually interesting and the other artists are fun to be around as well. I highly recommend Bradley and the shop in general, to anyone, and will be going back again and again read more

Everyone here is phenomenal. I go to Brad, he's a G. Amazing artist and extremely handsome, like super good looking. Like almost made me question my sexuality on multiple occasions. Anyways, if you live in Southern California, this is the only place you need to spend your money at for tattoos. Come for the amazing artists, stay for Brads rugged good looks. Just came to the new shop (since they moved downstairs) looks phenomenal, very clean and cool decor. Felt like I was in a Wes Anderson movie in the best possible way, had my sons names tattooed on me by Brad Kinney. The dudes a complete legend, he kilt it. If you live in South County this place is all you need. Whether you see Brad, Justin, Tish or Nick ur gonna be extremely happy. Thank the good Lord for Dana Point Tattoo. read more

Amazing staff, incredible work and most of all safe and clean. I drive almost 2 hours just to come here! Can't recommend enough.

Called and made an appointmemt with justin after seeing his porfolio. Arrived at the shop right off PCH,was very easy to find and plenty of parking in the back. The Shop has a great atmosphere, is family oriented, and also has a large flat screen Tv which is always playing Music, Netflix,Hulu...etc. The Tv is definitely a nice touch to distract you while your getting tattooed, and everyone in the shop seems very friendly and willing to engage in conversation. Overall, i had a Great experience working with justin on my leg piece!!! He was attentive and efficient with his time, and gave me exactly what i wanted. I will definitely be returning shortly for justin to finish the coloring and shading, and will be a repeat customer for a longgggg time. Thanks for running a great shop guys and keep up the good ink ;) read more

I'll admit I'm fresh off the high of my first tattoo experience and so take what I say with a grain of salt. I walked in with the hope of getting my wedding ring memorialized for life, locking in my decision after 10 years of sucking at putting on that damn metal band. This one was for my wife, and well earned. I went in with the grand vision of a straight 1/16" black line halfway around my wedding ring finger. Tall order, I get it. But I did my research. I checked out Nick's portfolio and was confident that he could handle the intricacies of my body-art. I've got high standards, and I didn't want to be swindled or manhandled. Nick took it all in stride, exuded the confidence of a veteran artist, and correctly scared the shit out of this newbie. You see, finger tattoos are not the most painless spot to go for. There are lots of nerve endings in the fingers and not a lot of padding. So after a few bouts of passing out and leaning on my hype-man (wife), we got to inking. Five minutes later we were done - nothing my wife wasn't used to at this point. Nick - thanks for dealing with my tears and for being part of my life story. I'll always think of you and the wife equally when marveling at my forever line. See you in ten years for the second. read more

This is one of the coolest, cleanest, and most professional tattoo shops I have been tattooed at in my 15 years of getting tattooed. The shop itself has a cool vibe. While I was getting tattooed they had good music to listen to. And I even got to watch one of my favorite childhood movies, "The Warriors" on a TV they have in the corner of the shop. The place is covered in amazing artwork to stare at. They have a very clean restroom which is a relief if you have a long session scheduled. I got tattooed by Justin.
