This was an hour after getting my Betty Boop tattoo (with a protective layer). The tattoo lines are so crisp and amazing!

THIS SHOP IS AMAZING! Brian is an INCREDIBLE tattoo artist. I feel so lucky to be tatted by such a talent artist. The shop is extremely clean, good vibes, and overall such an amazing experience. Brian has a great attention to detail, has been tattooing for 30+ years, and has the most amazing energy and vibe! 100/10 recommend coming here for a tattoo!

I highly recommend Laguna Tattoo. I got my first tattoo in my 60's after my mom passed away. I wanted a tattoo of a heartfelt message in her handwritting, and Brian's work was beyond reproach. His shop is clean, his attention to detail was impressive, and he just is a good guy. I felt completely comfortable and felt the price was fair. I would recommend him to anyone interested in a high quality tattoo.

The environment was amazing there was art everywhere and our tattoo artist, Brian was super accommodating and talented! It was my first time getting a tattoo and he made the experience so relaxing and fun. My mom and I got exactly what we wanted! Will definitely be back.

Was in Laguna for a long weekend with my husband and had been thinking about getting a tattoo for a while. The idea was to get a tattoo featuring something related to the ocean. The tattoo I got has the most fine line, beautiful detail. It's was not cheap, even for a small tattoo but it's clear this is an art form for Brian. He took the time to draw out the tattoo and made sure the placement was perfect. Very happy.

Was looking for a place that does fine line tattoos. This place is owned by Brian and he's the only artist there which is nice because you know who you will get! I called and he didn't pick up but ending up texting me. I actually was shocked. So I sent him my ideas and came in the next day for a free consultation and was able to book him the next day! Brian was very easy to work with. He keeps the shop really clean. This was my first tattoo and I already want another one! The pain wasn't as bad as I thought but he also finished mine in 30 minutes! He uses a clear bandage that you need to keep on for a week and just keep it out of the sun for at least 2 weeks while it heals. Even though his shop is off PCH I actually didn't have trouble getting parking. It is metered but it does take card. As far as tattoo pricing, I think he's very reasonable and tips are appreciated. Cash is king but he will accept other payment methods.

I recently got a tattoo on my arm, this was my second tattoo. I went to Brian, he is very patient, kind, and accommodating. He made the process very easy, and he understood what I wanted. He drew up a personalized sketch and took the time to explain the process and the details of the artwork. I really love the end result, and I'll be definitely going back for another tattoo. I would highly recommend the shop.

I got my first tattoo from Brian at Laguna Tattoo. Hands down Brian is amazing and professional. I was nervous and could not decide what font I wanted going in. Brian had a lot of fonts for me ready to go. I got my daughters name and could not be happier with the way everything turned out. I will be going back for my second tattoo in a few weeks. Thank you Brian!

I will be a lifetime customer at Tattoo Laguna, clean and delightful experience. Brian is extremely responsive and professional. I reached out to him in February and he had an initial consultation with me right away and I was in the shop getting my first tattoo within about a month. His artwork is incredible and the tattoos he has designed has given me so much confidence. I went back a few months later for a Jellyfish piece on my leg, he designed multiple iterations of the design concept, was extremely gracious with small changes I requested to fit the vision I was looking for. The shop is extremely clean, Brian made me comfortable throughout the entire tattoo experience, providing me with extra 2nd skin as backup during the after care process. I do plan on going back for more work and have recommended many friends to the shop given my experience every time has been positive and consistent.

Amazing work!!! Brian was very professional, kind, and a great artist that made you feel comfortable to be there. His line work, as you can see, is incredible. We're so lucky to find him! Best believe we'll be making more trips out to Laguna soon.

I absolutely love this place and want to give a shout out to my favorite artist, Brian. He has done 4 tattoos for me and I would never go to anyone else. He is amazing at what he does and makes the experience awesome with his kindness and humor. He has become a great friend in the time we've spent together. The tattoos he's done for me are extremely meaningful for me and meticulously well done. I am so grateful. He never cuts corners and gives each project the care and attention it deserves. Thanks, Brian!!! The picture I've attached here was taken immediately after completion. I am so impressed and happy with the result!

I'm not sure about you, but before getting my first tattoo, I did my research on each shop I came across on Instagram. Tattoos are permanent--so the idea is to get something you'd want to keep forever. My first time coming into the shop was about 2 years ago. Coming into Laguna Tattoo, I didn't know what to expect. Heck, I actually fainted getting my first tattoo (that was my fault haha) because I thought not eating would make me feel less sick seeing my blood. Mandy's actually the one who's been doing all my tattoos, and I love them all & her!! If you're looking for the black/grey & single-needle look, Mandy's your go-to girl. One of my friends got her tattoo done by Marcus, and his artwork's also amazing! Anyway, after coming into the shop a few times, I could see that there's a true bond between each of the artists who work there. It's cool too because you'll notice that the shop includes artists who each aim for their own style of tattooing. They specialize in fine lines, traditional ink, single needle, black work, text--you name it. My advice is to call the shop, or check out each of the tattoo artists' Instagram pages to see what style tattoo you want; then, book your appointment. Keep in mind that some of the artists of the shop will not copy another tattoo artists work!

Karla was able to help me right away, she got the earring out and put a longer post in without it hurting too much! I was in South Orange County for business and decided to stop in because the shop's reviews were so…read morestrong. That's unfortunately part of why this experience was especially disappointing. I was considering getting a piercing here today, but I left without getting pierced because the consultation made me feel unheard, pressured, and uncomfortable. I think it's fair to come in expecting a conversation where I could show a reference photo, explain my placement preference, hear the piercer's professional opinion, and then decide whether to move forward. Instead, while I was trying to pull up the reference image, I was repeatedly interrupted. I asked several times for a moment to finish finding the photo and explaining what I meant, but the piercer kept making remarks and insisting that she already understood. She told me the piercing wouldn't look right on me before I'd even been able to fully explain what I was asking for. To be clear, the issue wasn't that she had a professional opinion. I respect the expertise of piercers and understand that they may need to advise against a placement for anatomical, safety, or aesthetic reasons. They're the professionals, and I'm open to being guided by that expertise, of course! However, I've already had a number of piercings and have never felt as disregarded during a consultation as I did today. A piercing decision should be a collaborative conversation. The piercer should be able to share their professional assessment, while the client should be given the space to explain their priorities, ask questions, and decide whether they feel comfortable moving forward. I should feel respected the same way I show respect to professionals. And I would've welcomed a respectful explanation or alternatives. But what really upset me was being discouraged and spoken over before I was given a real opportunity to clarify what mattered to me, and as a result I did not feel respected in the slightest. We also clearly weren't on the same page, despite her repeatedly saying that she understood what I wanted because she kept focusing on the lower crystal not being visible. The thing is I already understood that and wasn't concerned about it. My priority is on the placement and being able to see the top of the vertical helix. I tried to explain that distinction, but I wasn't given enough space to do so before more assumptions were made. I've also consulted multiple other professional piercers who've said the piercing is possible, so I was hoping for an actual discussion of options rather than having my request dismissed from the start like that. She also spoke to me as if I didn't understand ear anatomy, even though I have multiple piercings and was simply trying to communicate my own preference. She referred to my ear ridge as a "speedbump" and commented that my existing helix piercing wasn't very visible because of it. That wording may have been meant as humor, but it didn't feel professional or reassuring in the context of an already tense consultation. Visibility wasn't my goal with that piercing either, since I got it with the intention of wearing a hoop there once it healed. Comments like that made me feel like assumptions were being made about my anatomy and choices without first asking what I actually wanted. Because placement was my main concern, the way the consultation was handled affected my confidence in moving forward. If I couldn't get my preferences understood before the procedure, I didn't feel comfortable trusting that they'd be understood during it. The interruptions, assumptions, and overall attitude left me increasingly overwhelmed, and I ultimately had a panic attack. I left feeling talked down to rather than treated with patience or respect. Regardless of intent, the interaction made me feel unsafe, disrespected, and unable to trust the process. And honestly I really am especially disappointed because this shop has such strong reviews, and I understand my experience may be dismissed as a one-off because of that. Still, I don't think that means it should be brushed aside. I'd strongly urge anyone who is naturally anxious, needs time to communicate clearly, or is very specific about placement to consider whether they'd feel comfortable in this kind of consultation. A client should be able to ask questions, show a reference, and explain their priorities without feeling rushed, spoken over, or made to feel difficult. At the end, I told her I didn't appreciate the attitude I was receiving and that I was no longer interested in continuing the consultation. She didn't respond, and I left. I hope the shop takes this feedback seriously, because technical skill matters in piercing, but so does listening, respectful communication, informed consent, and making clients feel safe enough to ask questions before someone performs a procedure on their body.
