I would highly recommend ordering from this licensed at-home bakery in New Albany. Pick up…read moreavailable near the area or delivery possible for a minimum purchase. Fun new items in store, so be sure to check out her page! This bakery uses only natural, organic, and local ingredients. All goodies have an added Indian flair/ingredient influences too, so you are in for a real treat! In February, I enjoyed Cupnest's brookies (cookie brownies) after winning an IG giveaway. And they were all amazing! When tea biscuits were posted a few days ago, I knew I needed to order some. I ordered a 1/4 pound of cardamom flavored tea biscuits that have almonds and pistachios on top and 1/4 pound of the almond pistachio rose flavored tea biscuits. Both are wonderfully buttery and packed full of flavor! The cardamom ones are nutty, slightly sweet, and floral -- cardamom is such an interesting spice... it gives these biscuit unique notes and a nice complexity of flavor. The pistachio rose has such depth in flavors - I just love it! Seemed to have a hint of citrus flavor (perhaps from the rose) and had a wonderful crunch to it... chocked full of pistachios too! I will definitely be ordering more again soon! I was surprised to receive two bonus cupcakes as well (thanks again, Cupnest)! Almond cupcakes with mango cream cheese filling topped with mango buttercream and crusted pistachios. Wow!! I have never had the pleasure of having mango buttercream before and now I'm hooked. What a refreshingly delicious cupcake!! Will definitely be ordering some of these in the future too.

All natural and you can taste it....especially compared to most cupcakes with artificial ingredients. Cookies and Cream are amazing! Highly recommend getting these for your next cupcake foray.

We got here on a Saturday morning just after they opened so we thought. They had actually opened 30…read moreminutes earlier than we expected. When you walk in you pull a number and wait for it to be called. Almost felt like I had walked into the DMV. lol We peeked at the display counters while we waited and tried to have our orders ready when it was our turn to expedite the wait for those after us. There were a few shelves that displayed various cookies, breads and things you could grab and go. The place was clean and the process was orderly. They seemed to keep things in the front stocked. We probably waited about 15 minutes. I pulled number 90 and the were calling the last of the 60's. We ordered several items to try including the packzis with three different fillings since we went at the right time of year for these. We grabbed a cheese, strawberry and lemon. We also chose a cheese danish, maple cream stick, apple fritter, cherry turnover and a donut stick. Once we told them what we wanted the girl helping us went to the back and started filling our box. A few moments later she returned, we paid and headed out the door with our sweets. My husband didn't want to wait so we opened up the box once we got to the car and each took one bite from each of our selections. We didn't find anything wrong with our choices. The one thing I was thrown off by is how they make their apple fritters. I almost missed ordering one bc they look nothing like the apple fritters I'm used to eating. It was just ok in my book. Not something I would get again. The donut stick on the other hand is something I wouldn't miss next time. In fact I'd be getting more than one. It was probably my favorite item of all we selected. The cream stick dough was soft. The cream wasn't too sweet. The only thing I would have changed was to have the maple icing be a bit more maple flavored. The turnover was nice and crispy flakey but the filling was just ok. Maybe a different flavor next time if I would get one. How can you go wrong with a cheese danish? Warm this slightly and you're hitting a home run. This was a nice stop and we learned the difference between what we liked and loved. We know just what to get next time. I will say they have a great social media presence and do a phenomenal job interacting with their customers and community.

It was a pleasure to see Resch's Bakery open in Gahanna. As a family new to Ohio in 2013, we heard…read moregood things about Resch's and we have long been supporters in past communities of family owned bakeries. We enjoy their products and welcome Resch's to Gahanna. We are highly confident Resch's would be even more successful if they took two actions: 1. Open for business at least by 7:00 a.m. 2. Offer the option of traditional no-filling Chocolate and Vanilla frosted Long John donuts. -- market data supports this and shows .... Based on: * Sampling of 100+ independent bakery hours across U.S. cities * Regional bakery association listings * Yelp/Google Business hour patterns * Known bakery business models A realistic, data‑grounded estimate is: Only about 10-15% of neighborhood bakeries open at 8:00 a.m. or later. Further market data shows... Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are extremely uncommon. Why unfilled Long Johns almost always remain on the menu * They serve the "less sweet" customer segment. * They pair well with coffee (important for morning sales). * They are cheaper to produce and have fewer failure points. * They are the "default bar donut" in many regions. Even bakeries that push filled varieties keep unfilled bars because they sell steadily and require no additional labor. --- Bottom-line conclusion Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are very rare -- probably under 5% of all bakeries. The overwhelming majority offer both, with filled varieties outnumbering unfilled but not replacing them.

And shout out to the young lady running this place, your baking is amazing! My wife and I were referred here by the staff at River Road Coffee House (check out my review over there too!), and I'm doing the same for you. I'm gluten free, and my wife is gluten, dairy, and egg free so we plan as though we are on our own in the small towns we love to visit so much. Boy we're we wrong in Newark, OH! Madelyn's is a treasure. We tried the cinnamon roll bar (stocked at River Road Coffee), two different kinds of muffins, a jalapeño "cheese" focaccia, and homemade oatmeal crème pies. My only complaint was that the focaccia was a little dry. The oatmeal crème pies were so good! I'm sure they're even better when fresh. The shop is warm and inviting, and the staff were very friendly and helpful! Again, another place in central Ohio that we will be back to!

Also their almond muffins were just like the almond croissants. Tasted incredible heated up a little! Great option for those who need to enjoy gluten free and vegan.

She is about as sweeet as her cupcakes and the prices are average at $2.50 a piece, but she puts alot of thought and detail, love and expensens into her work. Everything looks perfect, she has cute boxes and bags, all of great quality, plus the effort and booth fee there has to be something left over for her and I was more than happy to comply. I got 6 cupcakes, the only one I left out was cookies & cream. The buckeye had a real Buckeye on top and in the middle, rich soft chocolate cake and smooth peanut butter, also a winner. The tropical with coconut and a spice cake was also amazing and flavorful, very very good. Caramel and apple pie also very good but plain compaired to the others. Toasted Smores with toasted marschmellows on top and in the filling to die for! Last but not least the chocolate drumstick which tasted as good as it looks! Jenn has real skills and should open up a little shop, I'd be sure to stop by, till then catch her at the Farmers Market on Clark State Rd Saturdays 9-12.
